The room was in a good state of repair and nice clean bedding.No breakfast. the people working in here spoke a small amount of English and I speak only a small amount of German, but between us we managed very well. The hotel is over the road from an old church, and the bells ring at 6am every morning - these do wake you up and the bells seem to ring and ring and ring !!! I would stay here again, Seligenstadt is a beautiful place and well worth the visit.

an incredible hotel to stay at. the couple that runs this hotel are very welcoming and hospitable…read more the breakfast is quite good, and isn't composed of simply meats/fruits/cheeses/breads, but various yogurts, cereals, bacon, eggs, sausage, ham, mushrooms, tomatoes w/cheese, and more. it's the real deal. the rooms are fair sized, with small tv's (sure, that's a downside), with a desk, and decent sized bathroom. the pool is nice and large. the gym is on the small side, but has a great selection of new equipment. the hotel feels quite small and quaint, but when you wander the halls, you realize this hotel is quite large. but the service reflects as though it's a small family-run establishment. which is great. the only downside is 13/18EUR/day for internet. perhaps i'm used to the USA where internet is usually free. if needing accommodations in the area, i highly recommend staying here.

There are no lifts so if you have heavy bags, carrying them two storeys is a pain in the ass. The room is pretty basic and small. The cafe downstairs serves below average breakfast and at €136 for a nights stay with breakfast is a bit rich for this place. I certainly would never eat here again. The staff were friendly enough and helped us with bags and having a room with no ac on the top floor meant it was too hot at night. I would not come back here again. The value for money sucks and the breakfast was terrible.

Breakfast is typical German with bread, cheese, meat, fruit with the appreciated addition of make to order eggs. Very nice that it is walking distance to old town with all of the wonderful restaurants there however you should also give the Birkenhof restaurant a try. The cream of venison soup is delicious!
