We were able to walk to great shopping, restaurants and sites, including the colosseum and Trevi fountain. Clean accommodations and friendly staff. With jet lag, our sleep schedule was sporadic. The housekeeping staff kindly managed to attend to our room regardless of the hour. It's luxury you would come to expect of the St. Regis brand. Pro tip: Ironing boards/iron not in room and must be requested via Front Desk. However, you can have up to TWO items pressed daily Free. I deducted one star because our bed was lumpy - time to switch out the mattress! And be sure to request a room on floors 1-3. The fourth floor is right below the gym and very noisy during gym hours.

We were always greeted with a smile and a hello. Our room was well maintained and equipped with all that we needed. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful-I was a big fan of the smoked swordfish and tuna. Be sure to check out the nightly champagne sabering (7 pm) and enjoy a glass in the beautiful dining area. Just a world class hotel in a world class city. Special thanks to the bellman who was able to track down the packages we left behind in a taxi. A life saver!

Extremely disappointing customer service this visit…read more Via the concierge, I had reserved an airport transfer in a Mercedes sedan for 120 Euros. The company sent a 10-passenger van instead of a sedan. A taxi would have been more comfortable, a shorter walk from the terminal, and half the price. When I complained to the hotel, they said the van was the same price as a Mercedes sedan so I would be charged the same. This seemed like a bait and switch to me. Had I known the vehicle would be a van, I would have taken a taxi.

Without equivocation, this was the finest hotel I've ever been so lucky as to cool my heels at…read morewhile I make my way around the world. The bed was otherworldly. The clouds in the Sistine Chapel are not as soft. With a flick of a switch, blackout shades plunge you into darkness. And, in my room at least, the wall could be yanked from its daytime resting place to form a soundproof barrier, protecting you from the possibility of a footfall interrupting your perfect slumber. The views of Rome, from high on your hilltop could certainly be labeled High Renaissance art. The food, facilities, gym, artwork on the walls - there were literally masterpieces decorating the common spaces - everything was a variety of opulence and perfection that I had never before seem, combined into a single ensemble of luxury. Now, my confession: I stayed an extravagant 5 days at the Rome Cavalieri, but it was my employer who footed the bill. The price point was beyond my means at over 700 Euros per night. But, without question, the product was worth the cost. The price of the views also resulted in a bit of an effort to reach the actual city of Rome. We walked on several occasions, but, if you're your own benefactor, a taxi should not break the budget. We shared the lobby and grounds with famous Footballers and the current reigning tennis world champion. However, in those lavish halls and fluffy beds, I gained new motivation to level up, be my own benefactor, and return to the Rome Cavalieri with a reservation under my own name.

The history behind the little town is fascinating and the story behind the villa is even more captivating. Despite war and neglect, this villa has retained it's beauty with stunning frescoes and breathtaking views of Rome. Daily breakfast was included with our package and offered an array of fruits, nuts, pastries, eggs, bacon, and more. We had a couple of hiccups which included a non-functional power outlet as well as a burnt out light bulb. Although we reported the problems to the front desk and requested them to be fixed, they were not done during our 3 night stay. Be sure to make time to walk around the property, enjoy their pool, and visit the 2nd floor to see the beautiful frescoes. You won't be disappointed.

The daily breakfast included in our package was delightful, offering fresh tomatoes, cheese, sliced salami, juices, variety of breeds, croissants, jellies, yogurts, eggs, bacon, Cappachino, coffee and tea. There was also fresh and dried fruit as well as cereals. My husbands favorite was the bathroom which included a bidet and standing shower. Plenty of parking was available. The only downfall was wifi was spotty throughout the hotel despite us asking for repair. This location is 40 minute drive to rome center, 30 minute train ride to metro termini in rome. They offer free shuttle to the frascati train station as well. We found it easier to drive to san giovani metro station and park off the road. Service was wonderful, except cleaning lady ignored our do not disturb sign.
