Gorgeous establishment with first class luxury service with a warm welcome. We stopped by for the fashion fair and checked out the bar and took a cruise around. Stunning bustling spot. I'm a frequent patron of the NY St.Regis and Rome definitely has a different vibe and gives NYC a run for its money.

Yikes, not much more can be said... This place is absolutely world class. The services, the rooms, the restaurant, the breakfast etc are all top notch. Having spent a little over a week here, it's tough to stay anywhere else in Rome... Lumi (resto) is awesome! The butler service is top notch. Highly recomend!

We stopped here for a few drinks. I ordered a Tequila Old Fashioned, very good! You know you are in a good bar when they use Clear Ice Cubes! Also got an Expresso Martini and very good! They also brought some Short Bread Cookies and some almonds, great little snack. The service was not great for a St Regis, very slow to get drinks and to close out the tab. I expect that in Italy but this was way too slow, I had to hunt him down, and was talking to someone. Ciao

We were on a Tauck tour of Italy and this was the hotel they chose in Rome. I am delighted that they chose this hotel because it was fabulous. The lobby and restaurant are absolutely beautiful. The rooms are also so nice with the high ceilings, crown molding and mirrored and shelfed wall holding the TV. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with so much good food on it. We even had two musicians playing instruments while we dined.

Wonderful experience with great service and a delicious morning buffet spread. The evening ceremony was always entertaining.

Fresh honey dripping from actual honeycomb. Impressive.

It is a "WOW". Beautiful hotel with attention paid to details. Warmly greeted by staff everytime we came in contact with them. Makes you feel so very welcomed and your business is appreciated. Luggage quickly taken off our hands the moment we arrived. Impressed the first 1 minute and it didn't stop the entire time. Check in was quick and they even walked us to our room! I have to mention...the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The shower pressure was strong and delicious. Loved the choice of rain shower or regular shower. My favorite part of the room were all of the toiletrees. They didn't skimp on those. Quality products too. Towels were large and plentiful. The room was beautiful. Cozy and comfortable. Our view was boring and not great. That was disappointing. Elevators scared me. They were freaky tiny. I rode it once and that was enough. I took the stairs the rest of my stay. Then there was that amazing morning brunch. Omg...soooo delicious. A great start to our day. The selection on the buffet was impressive. Something for everyone. I especially enjoyed seeing the fresh honey dripping from the actual honeycomb. The breakfast staff were also friendly and wanting to please. Cappuccino needed to be hotter while the pot of coffee was perfectly brewed and nice and hot. I enjoyed the location of the open air resturant a few steps up from the lobby. Very elegant feel. What a let down that our next hotel was nothing like this one. The St Regis truly spoiled us!! I highly recommend staying here.

We have enjoyed the St Regis on several occasions during this trip... And each time, fabulous. The afternoon tea is delicious and super special. The 7 PM Saber Champagne ceremony is very special... And worth enjoying. And I had an amazing carbonara here and my daughter loved the spaghetti with tomato sauce. It is wonderful to be here, and I can't wait to be back!

Side view of room- I really should have taken more photos. It was large and very nicely done.

I can't believe I forgot to review this hotel after my stay last year. I was celebrating after finishing chemo and wanted a really special trip. It also happened to coincide with my birthday. Each and everyone of the staff had impeccable hospitality. I was introduced to the doormen, butler, and manager at check in. They knew who I was from then on out, even though I only had a 3 day stay. I still think of the opulence of this hotel and how wonderfully decorated the guest rooms are. There was a nice large bouquet of fresh flowers in the room that made me smile every time I saw them. The room was large with a separate seating and bedroom, connected by a hallway. Huge closets and bathroom were also a plus. Oh and one of the best things- the butler service, which is standard in the St. Regis brand- was fantastic. They will press 2 garments a day for no charge, coordinate any afternoon tea, and even unpack/pack your luggage for you. Their breakfast was very good, as well as the tea service. I didn't have a chance to have other meals there as I had pre-booked some Michelin starred restaurants. The icing on the cake- literally was the amazing display to celebrate my birthday and literally being alive after surviving stage 4 cancer. They had a delicious strawberry tart prepared, balloons, champagne and the manager even gave me a very nice birthday gift from Bvlgari. I was blown away and not expecting any of this. They went so far to accommodate things I didn't even know I wanted and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Rome after my phenomenal visit. They really deserve 6 stars! They've gotten me addicted to the brand and I'll continue to search out these properties in my future travels.

it was the first time I stayed in the st regis in rome but have stayed in st regis many times at different places and have always loved the rooms and the service. unfortunately, I can't recommend wholeheartedly staying in the st regis in rome for a few reasons. the service is exceedingly slow (waiting 30+ min for coffee etc). we also asked for tissue paper for a wine we bought at the hotel which also took 40+ min. like some of the other reviews on here, we also experienced some rudeness from the waiters and staff. if we reminded them of some of the food or drink items they forgot, they seemed annoyed. we had one person in our family who needed a wheelchair. while they do have wheelchairs at the hotel, they don't want to help you load them on and off taxis and they generally seem annoyed by the process. I still give 3 stars because the rooms were decently nice and the breakfast buffet in the morning is also okay. the lumen (restaurant)'s lobster linguini was a highlight for sure

We didn't rent a car so I can't comment on parking, but everything you want to see, like the Colosseum, is just a short walk from the hotel or you can take a cab. The staff were wonderful with helpful suggestions from the front desk to the amazing breakfast buffet staff that always gave us a very warm "buongiorno" when we came in. After a few days the server didn't need to ask anymore he just brought me a cappuccino when I sat down. That is probably the biggest breakfast buffets I have ever seen. The two pictures don't fully capture it all. I really liked this hotel and would be back if I am ever in Rome again.

Plenty of shopping, dining and coffee nearby. The room was clean and modern with a fully stocked, complimentary mini bar. Loved the bathroom, the bar upstairs and the breakfast buffet and coffee with Salvatore was a great start to each day. The downstairs spa was a bit small, but enjoyable nonetheless, with steam room, sauna, and simple hydrotherapy stations. All in all this was the best accommodations we had our entire 10 day trip throughout Italy. Will gladly stay here again! The staff, service, location, amenities and facility were all stellar!

If you are wanting to stay at a full-service, Hilton branded hotel property while in Rome without…read moregoing bankrupt doing so, The Doubletree Hotel by Hilton Rome Monti would be a solid choice. By Rome standards for a full-service hotel, it would be considered affordable by many. But just to be clear, it is not ultra-inexpensive. For the money, it is firmly in the 4-star hotel genre (getting a 5-star Yelp rating from me within this category because I could find nothing wrong with it during my stay). So, while it may not have crystal chandeliers and butlers running around, it is definitely not a student tourist level hostel. It has modern, comfortable public spaces, elevators that hold more than 2 people at a time, a restaurant with a good breakfast spread, and well-appointed guest rooms with modern amenities and AC. I really don't need more than that when I am traveling solo for business so it was perfect for me given that set of circumstances. As a comparison, I have stayed at a 5-star Rome hotel which was absolutely a step up in terms of service, luxury features, and a sense of a personal attention. But when I am alone on business, that level of service is not necessary and can feel uncomfortable to me. There are plenty of cafe's and restaurants within a 10 min walk and it is a reasonable walk to attractions such as the Opera House, the Coliseum, and the Trevi Fountain. It is also a 10-minute walk to the main terminal Rome train station and the cool, local Nuovo Mercato Esquilino if you are into that type of thing like I am. I spent early mornings walking somewhere for coffee and then through the Mercato to watch the vendors work to ready their produce and meat to be pawed over by early restauranteurs which was a cool look at the underbelly life of this great city. I really liked that this hotel is not right up against the busy street and, on at least 2 sides of the building, there are streets that are not constantly jammed with the noise of traffic. My room fronted one of the quiet sides. It is unclear to me if I was upgraded to a nicer than standard room location because of my Hilton loyalty status but I had a very quiet stay in a room that was impeccably clean and could be easily darked out during the day if I needed a restorative nap for my jet lag. The gym was reasonably appointed and open 24/7 and the wi-fi speed was top notch. I had a great stay here for the money. Based on all of this, when in Rome in the future as a solo business traveler, I would be very happy to stay here again.

That made the location extremely convenient. The hotel sits a short walk from Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. Some areas near the main train station are often described as unsafe by Italian standards. We did not experience that near the hotel. Tourists and locals were out late, and the neighborhood stayed active into the evening. Rome is compact and easy to navigate. Most major attractions felt reachable within about 20 minutes by taxi, bus, or rail. We tried to visit the Trevi Fountain at 10:00 pm to avoid crowds. That plan failed completely(see pic). It was packed. Locals eat later than in the U.S., and many parts of the city stay busy well into the night. Restaurants remain open late. A note for U.S. travelers. European hotel rooms run smaller for the price. Even using Hilton points, our room would have cost close to $700 per night USD and felt small. The hotel offers a pleasant rooftop bar and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The buffet breakfast was a solid, comfortable way to start the day. It was included for us as Hilton Diamond members. I am unsure of the cash price. Overall, the location and amenities make this a smart pre-cruise choice, especially for travelers relying on rail connections.

However, it is quietly nestled in a beautiful little neighborhood. It is very quiet and quaint. Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. With the curtains open the natural light is perfect. The bed was comfortable and we Sisto very nicely here. The bathroom is very big with a walk in shower and bidet with all toiletries needed to have a comfortable stay. I will say I was a bit bummed that the tile warmer was not functional but the hotel was very kind offering anything to make sure that we were happy. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I would also note that the building is quite old and the bathroom had a metallic smell perhaps from the pipes of older plumbing but it was fine as long as we kept the bathroom door closed. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain. All details are thought of here including mini bar, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and a welcome gift. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always ensuring that we were comfortable and happy. We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is a special place and experience. The nostalgia of standing and staying where the Romans once stood 2000 years ago was definitely a treat! The hotel has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine in the evening. The lounge just inside of the terrace is cozy and comfortable to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening and there's a cozy fireplace to warm up, which we took full advantage of after a long wet rainy day in the colosseum and Roman forum. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special Roman experience. We will definitely be back!
