Had a horrible experience here due to the front desk manager. I truly don't believe she should be in guest services. First we get to the hotel and the front door is broken with arrows to use the side entrance, not a big deal. We get in early and ask if we can check in early but they said no, 2pm and if we want earlier we have to pay ten Euro an hour, so we left out bags and went out, no big deal. Traveling with my 87 year old dad and when we get back to the hotel we go to our room and it's one bed. I go back downstairs and ask why we only have one bed if we ordered two. They said the room I booked had a plumbing issue that he can't fix but if they fix it they would let me know. I go back up to the room and talk with my dad, and we decided the bed was too small. So I go back down and was being as nice as I could about it and said could we please just get a refund, we would really like two beds and can just go down the street. She said no sorry, you have to take it up with Expedia, but let me get my manager. Manager came in with fire and was like what's your problem?! I said we really need two beds? That's what we paid for? She stormed off and came back and was like I just went up stairs to talk with your dad and he's fine with it, so what's your problem? Plus, your dad was sitting on the bed, so it's too late now. We will give you a free breakfast worth $30 Euro so you should not complain and should be thanking us!!!! I was like WTF, ok fine, we will stay tonight with a free breakfast as long as we can get two beds tomorrow, and she said she would try. So our room was very tiny, basically just a small bed, desk, and very small tv. It was in mid October 2024 and was still very hot and humid outside. We turned the AC on and only hot air came out... so we opened the balcony door but was still quite warm. I went to take a shower and the drain didn't work haha.. or it worked but drained very very slowly and filled with water and is the smallest shower you will ever see. I get everything in Europe is smaller, but these showers are small even for Europe standards. I could barely bend to reach my feet.... So we sleep in due to jet lag, and I go downstairs to tell them about the AC and she was like no sir, the city makes us turn off all the AC this time of year. I was like damn that would have been nice to know earlier. Additionally, she had a different story that we didn't get our room because they had a large group from Mexico come in, so I don't believe there was ever a plumbing issue. The manager mentioned the room with two beds would have no windows or balcony and we thought damn, we would be burning up with out that door open, so I told the front desk, we will just keep the room we have because of the AC not being turned on. And the manager lost her shit on me... you came down and made all that mess yesterday! And now you want to keep that room! You better not write any bad reviews about us!!!! I was thinking, I never raised any mess lol, I calmly asked if we could get a refund because we didn't get what we ordered. Anyway, the food there was pretty good, it's pretty close to a bus stop, and the rest of the staff was pretty nice, but that manager does not know how to deal with customers and ruined our stay. The rooms, bathrooms, and showers are extremely small, outdated, and looks like maintenance hasn't looked at it in 15 years. I would not recommend read more
