The room was clean but very basic: little equipment, no towels without asking for them, no slippers, no soap in the toilet, no chair or storage. Breakfast (€30 more) was clearly lacking in choice: some pastries, bread, juice and tea, good but too little for this price. The next morning, the reception lady was dry and unpleasant as we left the room at 11 a.m. as agreed. It was only after checking that she returned the bail with a smile. Overall, it wasn't catastrophic, but for this price, I expected more attentive service - I've already been received much better elsewhere for less.

My room came with robes, a safe, a tv, heated floors, decent sized bath tub, small shower, decent sized toliet, room on top and below the sink to place your toiletries, room service was lovely, have an outside and inside dining area, and there is a spa. If you happen to forget some items (such as toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.) they will provide it for you. There is also a blow dryer you can use. If you happen to want to wash your clothing while there, they do offer that for a price. Every morning they have breakfast that is open buffet style. They have champagne and wine choices and they have a fresh orange juice machine! I loved that! They had a waffle machine, assorted cheeses, smoked salmon, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruits, and when you walk up to the upper part they have breads, jams, potato's, meats, cooked veggies and a chef that will make you eggs or an omelette. So there are lots of choices to please everyone. The only two cons I would say is the shower could be bigger and depending on where you room is you may have to take one elevator and then walk and then take another. I did and with my luggage it was difficult. It is in walking distance to a good amount of eatery's, shopping and landmarks. Such a great location. A car mishap on a snowy Friday night sent me on an adventure in this quaint village, known for SpA water. Customer service of this establishment was great. Maitre d also managed the booking of the hotel. Due to my car mishap, I did not have a reservation, but he managed to find a room for me, and give me advise on what to do in the morning to remedy my car woes. The rooms are standard size. However, the feather bed in my room made for the best sleep I'd had in weeks. Breakfast was not included in the rate. Standard breakfast fare: Croissants, hard cheeses, Cold cuts, nutella, jams, pate', soft boiled eggs, and strong coffee. The bartender on duty helped me translate a few questions I had to the persons servicing my car. Very appreciative of the hospitality and generosity of the staff at this hotel.

When we checked in the gentleman at the front desk was less than friendly and not very helpful. This was made up for in the morning with a different gent who was super friendly and helpful especially regarding the parking for the remainder of the day. The room was small and the bathroom tight neither a surprise. The AC was just ok but at least it had it which was a good thing given the unusually hot weather. The bar had a 50% happy hour special which was nice. The room price was ok. But not sure it was a 4 star hotel...

Furniture is old, chipped and scuffed. Carpets and walls are worn and marked. There are lots of little things that show minimal upkeep such as badly hung shower curtains and sinks that don't drain well, mid level bedding with a few stains, wobbly cups and mismatched glasses in both the rooms and dinning room. Breakfast was OK, eggs looked like powdered eggs! Hotel staff were not that friendly either. Sink some money into it and update the place and they could have a winner. In short stay here for the location but do not expect to be wowed.

The lobby was cozy and the front desk service was efficient and polite. I was assigned a room on the fourth level and found it to be clean and surprisingly spacious. The work area was adequate and the bathroom was sufficiently roomy to allow maneuverability. The WiFi was free of charge and worked well during my stay. The bed was comfortable and the environs were adequately quiet to allow me to get good sleep. The view from the room looked over a construction lot; as such, it was nothing special. The breakfast was quite good as it featured the hot and cold choices one would expect. In addition to eggs and meat, there were also good bread options with yogurt, cereals, cold meats, cheese and fruit. The dining room was adequately spacious such that one did not feel cramped. My room rate was 140 euros. I thought this was reasonable and represented a decent value. In general, I was happy with my stay here. If I need a hotel in Liege again, I would certainly consider coming back to this hotel.

However, the moment we arrived we noticed a day and night difference in staff, people were friendly, well informed and quick to help us. The food was heavenly, nothing more to say, it was almost perfect, the cooking time was exactly how it should be, and even the wine our waiter recommended matched everything perfectly. Definitely a recommendation for people who don't mind paying a little extra for excellent quality.
