I was the bride of January 2nd, 2026 As a bride, and seeing other brides, I would love to say I was the calmest bride ever the day of the event. Vannessa and team did everything possible to get my day to be perfect. The numerous calls prior to the wedding. Attention to detail and last minute adjustments was incredible. They even had a member clean up my room after I got ready for my event. The view is incredible. A little over an hour drive from San Juan airport. But the view was worth it. I wouldn't change anything about my wedding, they made my day incredible. My older sister has a soy/ dairy allergy. During my stay at the island. No restaurant has taken this as serious and Hotel El Guajataca and FireHouse Subs in Quebradillas. We were there for a friend's wedding. The room was booked months in advance and we booked a larger room because there are 5 of us. Upon arrival,they told us they didn't have that room and they would have to give us two smaller rooms. The rooms are extremely outdated, in poor shape, and dirty, as is the entire hotel! The wedding coordinator was not present several times through the wedding and showed up 10 minutes before the wedding. I don't recommend a wedding here! Stayed here in July for a week. For some reason we thought this hotel was near San Juan. It's over an hour away from San Juan but it worked out for us because it's surrounded by several beautiful beaches. We stayed 7 days, the staff was ok. There are no Uber in this area so rent a car, you'll need it. Taxis are hard to come by also. Nothing is walkable from here. We ate at their restaurant, ordered paella which was inedible. If you've read other bad reviews on here about this hotel they are all true. Wish I'd read them before booking. This place is a landlord special. It's indescribable. Maybe gross describes it. It needs to be knocked down and rebuilt. I think they've been doing construction for years now. The pool was ok, needs to be cleaned better. Pool has a bar area but the music is so loud that you don't want to be out there. Sounds as if it's in your room. The only saving grace are the views, they were incredible. The beaches in the area were very nice and there are many restaurants to choose from. read more

We came here a few years back and the staff is super rude. We wanted to check in 30 minutes early and the horrible lady will not let us. We just stood there and then after 30 minutes, she gave us the key. She was doing it on purpose. Of course, I was not surprised since this is the kind of hospitality you get in this type of place. We checked in late at night and after bringing in our suitcases, we noticed that the room was flooded and had a bunch of large spiders everywhere. We called the front desk and they sent over two men to kill them. It was late at night around 12am and we just wanted to go to bed and they had us just standing there watching them try to kill the spiders and clean the water on the floor. I asked if we could just be moved to another room because we wanted to go to bed so they moved us to a new room. Due to our experience from the last room we throughly checked the new one only to find a COCKROACH in the closet!!!! We immediately grabbed our luggage and went to check out (the grounds also had a lot of cockroaches and crabs all over). We told the man at the front desk that we didn't feel comfortable staying there because of the cockroach and overall lack of cleanliness. He was very nice and apologetic and said we would receive a FULL refund and I thought the matter was over. Come to find out we were only given a partial refund because the hotel claimed that the man explained to us that since we checked out after 3 pm we wouldn't get a full refund. This is completely untrue the man offered us a full refund and then they turned around and lied to us. I tried getting in contact with the hotel and they then blocked my number!! I tried calling on my boyfriends phone which got through and when they would answer and I explained who I was they would hang up. I was in disbelief, I have never encountered such terrible customer service from a hotel especially when the issue was the fault of the hotels cleanliness. Do not stay here!! Where do I even begin? This hotel is saling a great package, NOT! We were charged WAY to much for absolutely NOTHING! NO restaurant, NO bar, NO breakfast, NO fridge or micro in room, NO iron or board & not even a coffee maker in the room. Doors & windows do not seal, we killed bugs ALL night for 3 nights. We were given a discount card for the bar, WHAT BAR. Spiderwebs all over room balcony. Small dog that roams the lobby looks REALLY sick. Five stray dogs roam the entire property ALL day. The ONLY thing this hotel has is a fantastic view. We started off our trip at one hotel, then came here... REGRET EVERY MINUTE OF IT! We survived a 6.3 earthquake & tropical storm Karen in beautiful island. If I could have given it 0 stars I would have! read more

Very old hotel!!!! Lots of peeling paint, cracked/thin walls, loud guests and broken/decayed structures around the building. Out of order vending machines and no ice machine. Also stray dogs roamed the hotel inside and out, very low class for the amount they charged per room/night. The best part was waking up to a beautiful ocean view but it was slightly marred by a random van that looked to be camping in the back of the property. read more

I recently stayed here with my family and we loved this boutique hotel! It sits directly on the most beautiful beach I have ever seen in PR. The food at the restaurant is great, karaoke available, and the hotel grounds are beautiful. This is not a sterilized chain hotel experience, it felt much more like a real local experience which is exactly what we were looking for. My only complaint is the hotels prevalent use of plastic straws, plastic cups and other plastic environmentally-unfriendly disposable products. read more

What can I say you are paying for the beautiful view the rest of the hotel (room,bathroom and more )needs a major update the air condition almost does not cool the TV only shows 5 channels and very poor quality the customer service is very good if it is Jose super friendly and sympathetic mystays It was supposed to be from August 3 to the 7 I ended up leaving on Day 6 at 3:54 pm and they didn't even give me a discount or they returned anything($$$) for leaving before They didn't even ask me why I was leaving early. This hotel is WAY overpriced for the service and amenities. I would recommend staying somewhere else, that would be more affordable and accommodating. The rooms have your basic hard bed, TV (10 channels) and air-conditioning, plenty of ice. NO FRIDGE, POORLIGHTING AND NO WIFI. The fridge was especially a fail, because the restaurant is only open on the weekends, so no trying to save leftovers or get food to store, unless you buy a cooler. The only nice thing in this entire hotel is the view, they have a great view. Aside from that, asking for Towels was like pulling teeth, we don't have any they are being cleaned? We just did your room is that not enough, etc... Towels are not a gift in a hotel, it is what they should provide and always be available. They were not even at full capacity to complain about such an issue. Not to mention you have a pool, people use towels for pools and showers, you need more than one. They seemed to hire security at night and they patrol the hotel. However, there is no one there to help you at night. Seems like all the staff is gone and you are on your own. The pool is small, so only a few people can get in at a time, without awkward stares of closeness and the hot tubs do not work. The only person there that was nice was the housekeeping woman, she was sweet and always tried to help us. The staff overall is very friendly however, they are limited to what they can do at this hotel, so their service suffers because of it. I hope they renovate this hotel, add more amenities, like small fridges, a microwave to heat up things, a relaxing space to read or eat, aside from outside where you sweat, more channels to their TV's, WIFI service. Then it would be worth the $109 a night. Five minutes away, you pay $65 a night and get everything I mentioned. I had to stay here due to a wedding. For the future, I will definitely pay $65. read more

Access to the famous Guajataca Tunnel through a scenic little walk (dont take the way through the street, that is boring.) BE CAREFUL, this area and especially the area behind the hotel that goes down to the beach are hot spots for burglary from locals. They smashed the windows out of our rental and stole all our belongings as we took pics of the beach. Police were not willing to get our things back after we tracked the thief to his apartment. We wasted a lot of time sitting in the police station, all for nothing. We should have taken all the broken glass on the beach parking as a warning. Anyway, We booked this hotel for 3 days. The view from the balcony is very nice. The room however is very small, my mother bought cleaning disinfectant towels to scrub the floor because it was dirty and sticky. Everything in the room worked but was kind of run down looking. Chipping paint, loud AC unit, flooring coming loose, and an odor. read more

The place is dirty, dark at night, the staff is rude, nobody seems to be in charge, and there always seems to be constant threat of local crime. In short, the place is a rundown dump. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! This place advertises "100% Satisfaction guaranteed" but the reality is they care very little about customer satisfaction. They advertise cable and Internet access in every room but our room had only 5 local channels on Antenna TV. I was unable to get work done because there was absolutely no internet access in my room. When we complained, we were given the royal runaround and they tried to resolve the issue by giving us a lousy complimentary $9. Breakfast. The owner/manager, Dr. Colombany, should be ashamed of himself for providing such shoddy and disrespectful service. We requested to speak with him, but there was no way to reach him. Then we were told he would get back to us but he never did. If you can't run a hotel Dr. Colombany, then hire an on-site manager to do it for you. Do not waste your time on this place people. The beach view is not enough to make up for the stress and the poor customer service!!! read more

We stayed up the mountain from this hotel and all I can say they party on Saturday night I wanted to go down the mountain so bad but I had no car and no transportation to get there but this place is jumping in.... all I can say is next time I am in Puerto Rico this is the hotel I'm going to stay at! read more
