No service unless you press the issue and approach the bar. sitting at a table leaves you thirsty. Room was great and all other staff was amazing. I rate a 5 star because a few bartenders should not ruin your stay. I sure capo will fix this issue.

During breakfast, the owner was making the rounds taking to the guests that were visiting, which was something unique. But just the overall customer centric experience that the hotel provided was absolutely impeccable. The Grand Hotel Parker's is one the oldest hotels in Naples. She doesn't seem to understand customer service or if she does, she simply doesn't treat people from a service standpoint. Everything we asked for from pillows to change, the answer was an immediate "NO!". When we asked the same requests of the gentlemen who worked behind the desk, the request was granted. This woman is unbelievably rude and un-accomodating to everyone we saw her interact with. She made our star very unpleasant and for that reason we will not return to this beautiful hotel.

There was two things I loved the most. One, the staff were so nice to us. Made us feel right at home. We got spoiled but more than anything we felt like family. Second, after traveling all over Europe, we just wanted to relax. This place was so quiet and peaceful. Also, because we went there in October (off season). We had the resort to our self. We were scammed out of money for a taxi to the Amalfi Coast (Positano)…read more The hotel quoted us 110 euros for the transfer by email and said we must book the car upon arrival and check in. However when we arrived the front desk staff made it seem like booking the transfer was very hard (like it should have been done in advance, which they wouldn't let us do) and said that due to traffic the new cost would be 160 euros. They required this be paid in cash to them, and not to the driver; this was weird - normally a hotel just makes the booking and you pay the driver. There was in fact little traffic during the drive (total transfer time ~1 hr 40 min). There was a price card in the taxi that said the trip should be 130 euros flat rate. In retrospect it seems the hotel probably pocketed the extra 30-50 euros. Don't believe the nice photos online. The rooms are actually small and dingy. The breakfast is bad (chewy croissants, watery old scrambled eggs, warm yogurt, etc.) The hallway to our room had dirty carpets and smelled like a pet store.

Wow what can I say, this would have to be one of the best boutique Hotels we stayed in while on…read moreholidays in Europe during July 2011. Our room was delightful and well appointed. The breakfast was lovely and catered to all taste's. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. There is not one criticism I can truly think of. Palazzo Alabardieri is situated on a lovely cobblestone lane way, an oasis in the city right near all the designer stores (if that is what you are into.. Chanel, Armani ,Dior and one of their representatives from Paris was at breakfast the morning we were there, so I guess if it was good enough for them well.....) but also very close to the major shopping/resturant areas, via a lovely pedestrians only mall. . We really only came to Napoli for two nights to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum, but I wish we had stayed longer, we will be back again. PS: we took the train to Napoli from Roma (which was great so much better than flying which we had considered) and I thought it would be an idea to warn you all about the taxi drivers... we were grossly overcharged for the trip from the train station to Palazzo Alabardieri.. on departure from the hotel to the airport the staff told us how much it should be and low and behold the taxi driver did try to rip us off ,but luckily we knew what it should cost. Buses we discovered were a little hit and miss, timetables well did not really seem to exist and very few drivers spoke English...take a taxi to the station or long distances ...and walk everywhere else. Catching the train to and from Pompeii and Herculaneum was so much fun it was summer and lots of kids going to the beaches and fans to the soccer matches singing their team songs. It was very warm the day we visited, I found taking a light umbrella much better than wearing a hat and a lots of water. We made the mistake of doing both Pompeii and Herculaneum in the one day... if you love history take your time and allow a day for Pompeii and half a day for Herculaneum. From the station down to Herculaneum is a bit of a walk but obviously OK on the way down, just take your time on the way back and stop for cold drink and a break. I would love to hear from anyone that stays at Palazzo Alabardieri and hope you have as lovely a stay as ours.

This hotel is a five-star gem for its prime location, as it's just a short walk to all the must-see…read morespots like Christmas Street and those amazing pizza places, all within about seven minutes. The street can get a bit noisy, but once you're inside, it's a peaceful retreat. There are plenty of drinking places just outside the hotel. Interior - The hallways are spacious and accessible for those with disabilities, and there's also a small elevator or stairs available. You might hear some footsteps from guests entering and exiting their rooms, though. I'd suggest checking out the restaurant just outside the hotel; they offer a sweet 10% discount for hotel guests. The hotel was incredibly clean, though it had a bit of a college vibe with IKEA-style furniture. Getting from the Naples train station was a bit of a challenge, especially with our large luggage, so we ended up taking a car service. The only downside is that you have to hand in your key each time you leave. They do have a 24-hour front desk, and the staff is incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating. I initially booked a queen bedroom, but they upgraded us to a larger unit with stairs and a loft-like feel. I wouldn't recommend the loft if you have mobility issues, as the bathrooms are upstairs. There's a sofa downstairs. Overall, I recommend this hotel for a walk, ability and access to some of the touristy spots. However, it is pretty far from some of the other highly rated pizza places or the coast. You're really depends on what you're looking for, but I do think this is the best hotel in the central Naples area. It was very safe.
