Last time I have been, I tried to check out the group of 23 - as I said I was traveling on a major photo assignment​ - and even getting the invoice was a problem. Most recently I helped my buddy Greg Gorman, a superstar in the photographic world. His room was so cold he wanted to leave a day early and asked if we could check out early with no charge for the coming night. "Not a problem at all" the friendly lady at the check out confirmed - after all, it was just before nine am. Of course,​ the hotel charged us - and accuses Greg and his and my assistant to lie. I found this place last minute on Booking dot com for my boyfriend and I. We both had never been…read moreto Hamburg and it was my first time in Germany overall. Our first place we picked was too sketchy so we needed a comfortable place and quick. We got a 25% discount just by using the third party website. Our room was cozy. The staff was very helpful and very hands on. The vibes and art work were immaculate haha. Drinks were reasonably priced. The community was really nice. The breakfast was a great deal! Overall, a unique experience and would stay there again. Only thing I wish could've changed is on both the basement and main lobby floors. I get we had those bracelets to scan us in, but I feel there should be more security or at least one security guard. Anyone can accidentally and unintentionally open the door to a non-guest who does not have the right intentions and it could be a crime scenario. The street itself is a mixed bag of people, mostly partiers or people looking for work at all hours of the day. It's super close to the central station, a lot of free sights, great restaurants and a lot of fun shops! If you are a pair, group or even a solo female traveler, my advice is to still stay here but when you're walking to your destination, walk with a purpose meaning don't get distracted with your phone, know where you're going and look serious haha.

Talking about the staff, it's one of the best aspects of this hotel in my opinion. They were all very friendly and helpful, although I remember Henning in particular because of his chill and easygoing vibe :) The only thing that could be improved is the food offers in the common areas. The food itself is great and very tasty, but I would have liked to see more healthy options on the menu like salads, dishes with more vegetables, or more fresh options. This isn't really a big issue since there are a lot of varied restaurants within walking distance, but it would be nice to see fresh and healthier options on the hotel's menu. They have a mobile Hotspot that you can use for free as well as a bike, and even a mini that you can rent for free for 4 hours. That's all just for starters. The rooms are excetional, beautifully designed with a modern travelers feel with the best bathroom I've seen in europe. (Full disclosure I love my showers!) They really have thought of everything from the fresh scent of flowers throughout halls to the beautiful pictures hung on the walls. Another thing about this hotel is that there is two on the same block and that you can visit either one of them. While exploring the bigger of the two I found an area that you can really sit back and relax at. The area had a section where you can surf the internet, play Foose ball, play pin ball, and even listen to vinyl records (which was my favorite ). All in all of I could give this place 10 stars I would.

If you are facing Woolworth it is the door directly to the right of it. The staff was nice and the hotel is very boutique like. The rooms are small and there is no restaurant on-site, but they do serve breakfast, and I believe they have a bar. The breakfast included cereal, meats, cheese, breads, yogurt, granola, fruit, hard boiled eggs, and scrambled eggs. The room was small and strange, but it seemed clean and the shower was nice. It even had a heated towel rack. The decor didn't really flow well and there's a random yellow sink in the bathroom but it was nice enough. Overall- overpriced but not terrible.

Walking from one end of the famous Reeperbahn Street (where the hotel is) to the opposite and is an easy walk with lots to do, eat and look at. The room itself was small...we had a room with 2 twin beds that we were able to separate so my son and I could have a little space. Besides the size and the tiny bathroom, everything was very clean. The room had all the amenities we needed (hair dryer, soap, shampoo.) The water in the shower was hot. The staff were very friendly and took care of any requests we had. (I think we just asked for extra pillows.) The breakfast was more than adequate, with a super-automatic espresso machine that made any drink we wanted and tasted really good. (Okay carafes of drip coffee were available too.) There was enough to eat for us vegetarians in terms of cheese, bread, eggs and vegetables as well. Besides the size of the room we were happy with everything about the hotel.
