I come to Puerto Vallarta twice a year. I don't stay anywhere else with this hotel. There's a job by the name of Miguel. He's absolutely wonderful. The rooftop pool the food the drinks the staff there's a gym centrally located, clean the viewer to die for everything about this hotel is just perfect. If you haven't stayed here give it a try barbra loza

My partner and I stay here every year for the past 4 years. Adult only hotel with rooftop pool makes for a great getaway. Room is clean and comfortable, very reasonably priced. Hotel is a little bit away from the zona romantica but a quick taxi ride. Service is great and the frozen margaritas are delicious! Love the hotel itself. Staff is incredibly helpful and there's a buffet breakfast as well.

Nothing bad to say about this place. The rooms are just enough and clean.. Staff is very friendly and speak great english! The rooftop pool is great, Aly and Yessi are just as cool in person as they seem to be in all the reviews! This hotel is very close to the airport and located right in the heart of action. Very fair priced rooms with beautiful views all around. Definitely will be returning to this hotel! This place is a must stay !!

Hotel Mio is situated in the perfect area and very close to restaurants and shopping malls, with the exception of having no beach access whatsoever. The overall property is clean, and gives you a smaller boutique hotel vibe. I found the staff to be friendly (especially the bellmen...who consistently greeted me with smiles on their faces). The room itself was nice, clean, and had excellent views of the ocean and city. While I found the room to be nice and cozy, the bed was a little harder than I would have liked but it did the job. Unfortunately, we had to keep calling down each night because housekeeping did not supply us with any wash cloths...I thought it was accidental until we had to call down a second time for the same exact thing. The pool area was nice, and wasn't that crowded during the day. It seemed more people came to the pool and enjoyed an evening swim. I must admit, the restrooms in the pool area was very nice...probably the nicest I've seen at any hotel. The food was mediocre and the breakfast was a complete fail. You'd be better off going to one of the nearby eateries to have breakfast/dinner.

I'm sorry but Hotel Mio is giving resort without the resort price tag. I stayed three nights. Great service start to finish. Poolside is great though I wish the DJ hung around til closing. Drinks are good and affordable. Room service was pretty decent. Shower was amazing! Rooms so clean with filtered water on each floor (though mine kept running out). Complimentary coffee near the restaurant in the mornings. Walk to beach is like 5-7 minutes so not bad. Would definitely stay again.

First time staying here and very happy. The hotel is clean and modern design. Very friendly, attentive staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. I selected to have breakfast included in my option and was pleased with the breakfast options; small buffet of pastries, fruit, cereal, juices as well as the hot bar which included hashbrowns, chilequilles and an egg/ omelettes made to order. The rooftop bar and pool didnt feel crowded, has a good variety of music/ entertainment several times each day. Nice views from the rooftop. Unfortunately, no beach access from this hotel, but i knew that when i booked. The food was surprisingly good including one of the best shrimp tacos Ive ever had.

PLEASE NOTE: SAME OWNERS but NOT THIS HOTEL!!! Review is for HOTELITO MIO : Outstanding resort! This charming little place is fantastic whatever your fancy is... it is nestled between a "US / Gringo beach" on the right side of its private beach or go completely (yet SAFE / FUN/ COOL) local & on the left ! Or just just namaste at fantastic Hotelito & you will likely catch a a great laugh or two with Nico & Josue by the pool. On your way to the relaxing jacuzzi you might catch a glimpse of the warm owners. They helped celebrate my birthday while I was there ... it was so so cool! I can't Thank Marcela enough... she's the estrella (star) of this place ... go to her if you need anything... she's magical! After the owners , I think she's the most powerful person there '-)) but so sweet! Also, we got unit 7 ... it's perfect... remember... it's an eco resort! The Roosters are part of nature... deal with it! And when you're a little higher you're protected from a lot of noises (natural or not). On a more MUCH more positive note ! The bed at Hotelito is one of the BEST (if not THE BEST) my husband & I ever slept in it was SOOO GOOD!!! The food is fantastic! The cocktails are great (especially the one w/ the coconut) and the staff is outstanding, professional and warm! Thank You Pablo, Netti, Karen, Paloma. Favorite restaurant next door is hands down Los Conos !

The workers that couldn't go home were housed. The guests, like me, that were checking out were allowed to book another night, even though they were in a sold out status. The hotel mgmt took care of all of us in such a beautifully kind manner which allowed us to find some safety while the town was burning due to the car fires. The property is right on beach, has a family pool and adult swim area with hot tubs in both areas. We booked a hotel room that had a small pool access from the patio. They have 2 swim up bars, a children's play area, spa and an excellent workout room. I was told they will be renovating the hotel this summer 2026, which is needed in some areas, such as the spa. It was a very enjoyable visit other than the cartel action and I would stay here again if I come back to Puerto Vallarta.

Food: Several excellent restaurants but Buffett pricey, instead a 15 min walk to marina area for much more reasonable food. Great ice cream in lobby, opened til 11:00 pm too ! The sound of the ocean at night is awesome! Pillows were Devine.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta for a wedding, and since…read morethe accommodations were already chosen for us, I didn't read any reviews beforehand. But after seeing some of the mixed feedback now, I was honestly surprised. It seems like this place can be very hit or miss. Thankfully for us, it was definitely a hit. We were there for three nights, and overall had a great experience. Our main complaint would be the food, which we found to be mediocre overall, though there were definitely a couple of standouts. Next time, I'd skip the buffet except for the freshly made stations, which were the only part consistently worth it. We really enjoyed the teppanyaki at Tamari, and the fish and shrimp tacos from Blaze were so good we had them twice during our stay. On the other hand, dinner at Blaze was unremarkable and we were disappointed with the pizza and zeppole from Melanzane, though we didn't get to try anything else there. I do wish we had stayed an extra night or two to explore more of the dining options, though based on what we experienced, we may not have missed out on too much. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Rafael at the club lounge bar and Lizbeth at reception - both were a pleasure and made our stay even more enjoyable. I was also surprised by the size of the gym and the variety of equipment. I made sure to get at least one workout in and really appreciated the incredible ocean views while doing so. We visited in February and never felt like the resort was overcrowded. In fact, some restaurants seemed surprisingly empty at times. One thing worth noting: they have pickleball courts and a basketball court, which we didn't see advertised anywhere. We would've packed our pickleball gear had we known, but fortunately they provide equipment you can borrow. They also offer activities throughout the day - we mostly enjoyed the evening bar shows. I'd definitely recommend downloading their app to keep track of the schedule and access other helpful hotel information like menus. Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay and a strong positive experience for us. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the dining experience didn't quite match the rest of the resort. While the food could be more consistent, the friendly staff, beautiful setting, amenities, and relaxed atmosphere made it a memorable stay.

We spent most of our time at the adult pool which was a lovely location with an infinity pool, hot tub, and drink service. There was also a great view of the beach, which seemed very private. The atmosphere in general was relatively relaxed and upscale, and not too many kids, but maybe it was off season. Overall, would certainly go again!

I think the worst part was that the gym area was moved halfway outside and some of the machines I had seen in pictures weren't available. Pros: * Staff is incredible. From the front desk, to Antonio on the beach (great guy), the breakfast staff (shout out to the auntie making waffles and omelettes like a machine), everyone was very friendly, helpful, and made us feel comfortable and welcome. The one exception was the towel lady who was a bit brusque- but that stood out because everyone else was so great. * Breakfast was solid, with varieties of bread, fruit, omelettes/waffle station, bacon, eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal bar, green and fresh orange juice every day. We ate there every morning and didn't get too bored. Cons: * Walls seemed pretty thin. I could hear other people using their key cards (just the clicking sound) late at night when I was in my room, and sound of other TVs and chatter in the hall. The people above us seemed to be dragging furniture around frequently which was also noisy. * The property as a whole is pretty dated and needs some renovation. We checked out the Marriott which had nicer pools (infinity pools) and seems much less run down. They also have a nice looking spa and a much larger fitness center (available for Westin guests while the construction is happening). The room seemed somewhat dated, and particularly the bathrooms could use a refresh. * The construction was a minor annoyance- a couple restaurants on site were closed.

I recommend eating off the ala carte menu for breakfast, it's half the price and the potions are great. The room was nice but not updated. We appreciated the extra seating and table. The added crib wasn't clean, once we wiped it down, it was a big difference. We are glad we stayed on points, not sure it is worth it to pay while during construction. I heard it's becoming all inclusive in 2026, it will be well worth it for that type of business once construction is done. 15 minutes walk to Marina where there is a Thursday Market.
