I am very sad that our local hangout has become so expensive. A 16oz summer shandy for $7.50 which is considerably more than all the other local places we've been to, and even more than the local brewery and most breweries charge for a micro brew. Are you getting a 22 ounce IPA. $10.50. A margarita $11. A 14 inch pizza $30.50. A bottle of Pacifico $7.50. I'm not sure if they're trying to pay for all the remodeling they've done or what is going on with these prices are way more than they have ever been. The new deck is nice although I liked the old one, thank God they haven't started changing the inside that has all the history of DL by much. They now have a gaudy T-shirt showcase in the dining room. I would think that T-shirt room and the rolling rack when you first enter the restaurant would be enough. I guess that is the Zorba's ownership. Sell merchandise. I guess I should be happy our local restaurant is still there but I'm sorry your prices have gotten way out of line. Not a place where we will choose to hang out and drink any longer. May explain why the late night life has kind of died there.

    Sirloin and au gratin potatoes

As it's getting cooler the patio is no longer open and we sat in the bar area. It's a pretty tight space and can be loud. Our food was great. The au gratin potatoes were creamy and flavorful. My steak was perfectly prepared but could have benefitted from seasoning prior to cooking. The seafood pasta was creamy and delicious. I would leave out the fake crab and use just shrimp as the flavor of the fake crab can be overpowering. Service was good.

    Bar seating view!

Food, service, ambiance all great! Our waitress, Katie, was especially wonderful, attentive but not overbearing. Watchful and responsive.

No children's menu. Our waitress suggested chicken strips $12, with fries $6, so an $18 meal for a three year old. Yikes!!!

From what I've seen of other entrees, it might be best to stick with either walleye or a burger.

We sat outside, as there was a nice view of the lake. Put your elbows on a menu, or you'll burn your arms on the metal table. Ordered maple syrup burger and subbed salad for fries. There wasn't much maple syrup and a tiny bit of bacon. I removed the lower bun also. Beef Burgers are fresh and are 1/3#. Bison and Elk are smaller at 1/4 # and frozen. Service was a little spotty. No check-in after we ate or refills of water. Needed to go inside to pay. They do charge 3% to use a credit card, which is not disclosed anywhere. I paid in cash anyway. There is much better food and value compared to Sandbar. Better views, too.

We ordered different burgers and wings, and they were excellent. The burgers were cooked to order, wings were good, and the fries were excellent. Shout out to Abby, our server, who was professional, attentive, and kind. The place has a great "Up North" vibe with an awesome view of the lake. Prices were fair, and bathrooms were clean and updated. BONUS: several gluten-free options including pizza and buns.

It gives off the vibe of a sports bar but also a place to sit and have a casual meal. The fried pickles came out hot and crispy and they were wonderful! Even after sitting and munching on them after 5 minutes the ones that were still in the basket were still warm. The PB+J burger was amazing! It has a nice little kick with every bite you took. It had the perfect amount of spicy that wasn't too overwhelming. The BBQ wings were also very good! Cooked to perfection and had the perfect amount of sauce on them. The cheese balls were really good but had too much cheese in each bite you took. The cheese balls were also much larger than what we were thinking they were going to be. Roughly the size of a golf ball. The service was splendid. There was one waiter and bartender working while we ate but you wouldn't have guessed that by how fast our drinks and food came out. Our waiter was very attentive and checked in on us, while waiting on every other table in the building. If you are passing through town this is definitely a place to try out!

It was relatively busy when I arrived but found a spot at the bar. A lady behind the bar saw me and immediately looked away. I overheard a waitress come up to her behind the bar(right in front of me)and ask how to split a check and she told her she didn't have time for that shit today. I waited for about 5 minutes for her to take my drink order. I ordered and moved to a table to wait for my friends to arrive. We ordered 4 shots and they come right away but the waitress disappeared for awhile. We ordered drinks and food finally....while ordering the waitress didn't think we were ordering fast enough and said "if you guys aren't ready I'll just come back"....while we were ordering.....overall...food was excellent but everything else was a joke! Another waitress was stomping around and throwing chairs down like it was an event....it was a lot. I came to spend money and have a good time and we left. Spent our money elsewhere. Kudos to the cook! You a real one! Our server never greeted our table, never told us any specials, never introduced herself the entire time we were there. So upon leaving I had to ask what her name was....Rochelle.
