I am very sad that our local hangout has become so expensive. A 16oz summer shandy for $7.50 which is considerably more than all the other local places we've been to, and even more than the local brewery and most breweries charge for a micro brew. Are you getting a 22 ounce IPA. $10.50. A margarita $11. A 14 inch pizza $30.50. A bottle of Pacifico $7.50. I'm not sure if they're trying to pay for all the remodeling they've done or what is going on with these prices are way more than they have ever been. The new deck is nice although I liked the old one, thank God they haven't started changing the inside that has all the history of DL by much. They now have a gaudy T-shirt showcase in the dining room. I would think that T-shirt room and the rolling rack when you first enter the restaurant would be enough. I guess that is the Zorba's ownership. Sell merchandise. I guess I should be happy our local restaurant is still there but I'm sorry your prices have gotten way out of line. Not a place where we will choose to hang out and drink any longer. May explain why the late night life has kind of died there.

What an exceptional experience! My girlfriend and I got to the hotel shortly before five and sat at the bar. We had a couple of cocktails and the Alfredo '10 pizza--the perfect size for 2 to split. We enjoyed the friendly conversation with the bartender. We had so much fun, and The Hotel will remain a staple in our restaurant rotation!

Food, service, ambiance all great! Our waitress, Katie, was especially wonderful, attentive but not overbearing. Watchful and responsive.

No children's menu. Our waitress suggested chicken strips $12, with fries $6, so an $18 meal for a three year old. Yikes!!!

From what I've seen of other entrees, it might be best to stick with either walleye or a burger.

I am so glad we finally found a place that is actually on the lake, not the road in front of the lake, and has great food. I will definitely be back!

Seems Yelp has both names on their platform…read more We are in the area roughly once a year and decided to stop by here for a change from Zorbaz and Cormorant. We were a group of 6, so yes, a "larger" table. It took over two hours to get our food, and there were some weird quirks along the way. But there were also some positives that I'll dive into. Our waiter was fantastic. He by far saved this from being a one-star review and likely saved us from walking out earlier. At one point, he said our food would be out within 20 minutes and even set a timer on his phone. 35 minutes later, still no food. We joked about free shots, but to our surprise, he actually came back with some! No charge. That was one of the reasons we didn't end up leaving earlier and why this isn't a 1/5 star review. What was weird is that we ordered appetizers, and those came out right away. The entrees then took 2+ hours to get to us. The wait staff said the kitchen was behind, but they seemed to be pumping out every other table's orders mostly fine. We were one of the last groups in the restaurant, and we weren't the final ones to arrive. This leads us to think the kitchen was skipping the "6-top" table and making other tables' orders first, even though we ordered before them. It makes no sense that our waiter said it would be 20 minutes and then, 35 minutes later, there was still no food. He kept the timer going on his phone, and it eventually got to be over an hour. Keep in mind, this timer started after we had already been waiting for about an hour. At the 2-hour point, we said we wanted to cancel our orders and politely leave. We were happy to pay for the drinks and apps. He went back to the kitchen, and I kid you not, 30 seconds later he's back out saying our food is being plated. Crazy how we wait for 2+ hours, then when we ask to cancel, the food is suddenly almost ready. Spoiler: It still took another 5-10 minutes to get our food even after it was supposedly being plated. One more note: Our entrees were not complicated. There were sandwiches, burgers, fries, easy stuff. The food itself? Good/fine. Bar food. It was mostly spoiled by the terrible experience. Bathrooms are nice, lol. Overall, the waiter was truly a great time and had a great personality. He saved this from being a one-star review and from us walking out earlier. I can't recommend this place unless you want to sit for several hours for "bar food." What was most disappointing is that we still got charged in full for everything. No small discount. Sure, the free shots were nice, but a 10-20% discount would have been the bare minimum after sitting there for hours. This might be the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. We won't be back. I can't recommend it for really anyone. Definitely don't come if you are a group of 5-6.

There wasn't much maple syrup and a tiny bit of bacon. I removed the lower bun also. Beef Burgers are fresh and are 1/3#. Bison and Elk are smaller at 1/4 # and frozen. Service was a little spotty. No check-in after we ate or refills of water. Needed to go inside to pay. They do charge 3% to use a credit card, which is not disclosed anywhere. I paid in cash anyway.
