We ordered take out and it was a breeze. We stopped in their shop and picked some merchandise which is so fun and cute. The two gals working in there were so friendly and helpful. Always run into friends here. It's the place to be. Came home and enjoyed our zorbaz picnic outside. We had the chips with salsa(yum) and queso yum yum). We enjoyed the lees beef taco we added cilantro which really pops the flavor in the double shell hard and soft. Moving onto the Thai pizza with all its fun topping sweet and spicy. dissapointed. this is my first time ever eating at a zorbaz and i was expecting more from all of the hype. i went here with my family and my brother and we both ordered quesadillas, i ordered a veggie one, and he ordered a chicken one with extra chicken. when they brought us our plates my brothers quesadillas didn't even have chicken in them after he asked for extra chicken. they brought him new quesadillas with extra chicken, we didn't mind much because we knew it was just a honest mistake. then we ordered the super supreme pizza with sauerkraut and no pineapple. when they brought us our pizza and it had pineapple and no sauerkraut on it. out of the 4 things we ordered they got 2 of the things right. the food was decent but definitely not worth the hype, i do not recommend coming here. read more

What a fun and cool bar/restaurant to have dinner and drinks at! We ate there on a Saturday during WeFest and it was very busy but for how busy it was we didn't wait too long for our food. The Macho Nachoz were good. My only complaint is that we ran out of salsa but the waiters were nice enough to bring some more over along with some extra chips. Overall I would recommend, but just know that you could easily eat that as your meal for how filling they were. We ordered a large Bunn Zpecial which feeds 4-5 people or about 16 slices. I only had 2 slices of the pizza, as I was more interested in the nachos, and those slices were very good. The pizza is definitely the star and best thing to get here. I've also had the taco salad and that was enjoyable. If you're feeling Mexican obviously do as you please, but most people come here for the pizza. Such a fun and delicious spot! This place definitely encompasses the 'lake-life' vibe of Detroit Lakes. It's mainly a bar, but has a full pizza/mexican food menu to pair. When you arrive they check IDs at the door and you receive a wristband if you're over 21. You seat yourself and can order at the bar. There are staff members everywhere if you need something! I ordered the taco salad and a tequila soda pineapple. The drink was quick and the bartender was friendly. After getting a number and sitting back at my table, all of our food started coming quick! We ordered chips and salsa and it was easy to get chip refills. Taco salad was good, nothing super special but hits the spot after a long day outside! Visited Zorbas while at a friends cabin for a girls weekend and it was the perfect stop for dinner and drinks! Lots of food options and easy to change things around for dietary preferences, our friend who is vegan had lots of options. I got the Mexican pizza and it was delicious! I didn't realize how large a small would be but it gave me lots of leftovers! And it came with chips (bottomless!) and salsa which was great. If you are in lakes country and don't stop at Zorbaz, then did you are denying yourself. Zorbaz is a mainstay in DL and the surrounding area, and it is always busy for a reason. I took my partner here who is originally from Miami while we were back home visiting family, and she still talks about it. The food is classic, the drinks are great, and if you visit on a weekend in the summer, it is an experience all to itself. It can be tough to find a spot to sit on a Friday or Saturday in the summer, but that comes with eating a one of the most popular places in town. It is a counter service order, so while they will deliver your food to your table, you do need to go up to the bar to order your food and drinks. As far as food goes you really can't go wrong. The pizza is great, the Mexican food is better (in my opinion) and the bar staff will help you with any questions you might have. read more

And it's right across from the lake so you can take a stroll after you eat. They have large variety of beers on tap. The menu is primarily pizza and Mexican. Order at the bar, they give you a number and bring it out to you. Our first night we had a couple of pizzas and garlic bread which came with a meat sauce. The pizzas were good, nothing spectacular. Ditto for the garlic bread. The second night we had the nachos. It's a HUGE platter w/beans, jalapenos, olives, chicken or beef, salsa, and sour cream. I love Zorbaz in DL for the casual vibe & summer experience, spending some time at the beach then heading over to eat on the patio. I rate that a 5 because it's something we look forward to as a family, but only really do it once per year. They have excellent pizza and drink selections. For food taste & quality, I rate it more of a 4ish. You order at a counter and they have plenty of staff that come around to bring your food and clean up. The nice thing about the counter service is that you do not need to wait for a check, you can just split when you're done. For a pizza place, it's not an inexpensive meal. Again, I think some of what you pay for is the experience. With a tip, the four of us recently had one XL pizza, one 8" personal pizza & 4 sodas, and it was $60. The chips and salsa again are nothing to shout about and I have had better salsa in a jar. Just can't give this place another try anymore. Perhaps they cater to the seasonal lake goer and they find it nostalgic but every time I find it a complete waste of money. I ordered a small pizza basic pep and olives and it was bland nothing to it. $18! My visit before I ordered a Mexican dish it was the same bland and nothing special. If you want to get your drink on I get they cater to that but the food. Awful and overly priced. We've been there twice in this week. The first time, it was freezing cold. And I never get cold. I ordered a margarita, which I never got. When I asked to change it to a Coke, she said she totally forgot the margarita, because she was so busy. There were few people there at the time. I don't get why this place was so busy the second time, other than it was Friday night. You have to go to the bar to place your order, yet there must have been 25 "servers" aimlessly wandering around with bar rags in their hands. Only a few were actually doing anything while wandering. While you are at the bar ordering, you can guarantee you'll lose your table unless someone stays at it. I asked for a box for my leftover mediocre pizza and the girl told me where they were. OK, so you're too busy wandering to actually do something? Like provide a box on one of your 100 rounds around the restaurant? I get that it's "cute" to use a Z instead of an S, but it gets a bit old trying to read the menu with all those Zs. I would never return to this place. Even if the food was epic. There is nothing but total chaos, slow "service", entirely too many table cleaners (note "servers" was not used) that have no work ethic and the food, other than the guacamole, is below average. Very good food. We had two different pizzas and both outstanding with plenty of toppings; they do not skimp. A bit pricey but most often you have to pay for quality. Lauren the bartender had a massive attitude when I asked her to remake my margarita due to it not matching the menu and tasting gross. The menu does not list Sprite Zero as an ingredient in it, and it makes it taste like diet soda. That ingredient should be on the menu if it's in the drink. She refused multiple times to make me a new one even when I already spent $70 on my family meal and tipped her 20%. She was really rude and should not be in customer service. I would not come back again based on this experience. The food was mediocre -- you go for the proximity to the beach. The young ladies who deliver your food were polite and efficient. My advice is don't tip on the front end -- tip after you've gotten your order because they won't make it right without a big problem. read more
