    In the wine bar area

Cute little boutique hotel in the heart of Copenhagen - near Tivoli and shopping. The room itself was the most disappointing aspect of the hotel but everything else is great. The downstairs has a wine bar (which is also where you check in and out) and a couple restaurants. The wine bar area has a nice vibe and cool artwork and really lends itself to hanging out with your friends and whiling away a few hours. Room was kind of small and the shower was the worst part about the whole hotel - smelled kind of musty and the shower head was very low. The elevator is also tiny and can fit really only one person at a time if you have a lot of luggage. It's also very slow. Employees here are generally young and very friendly and easy to talk to. Gym is well stocked with water, towels and new machines. They also have a free wine hour from 5-6PM every afternoon. I would consider staying here again despite the room given that the other amenities are quite nice.

If I would build a hotel, it would probably look something like this. The flat (=the hotel room that feels like the most important details in a Scandinavian flat squeezed into miniature version of itself) is like a home. It took me less then a second to feel "ah, home at last" when entering my room for the first time. They have an ecological breakfast served in the morning and wine a'clock (when the restaurant serves the hotel guests a glass of wine after work) from 5 to 6 in the afternoon. There are many nice corners to sit and work in the lobby and conference rooms are on their way to being built in this newly opened hotel. Details that I love with my room: the French balcony with view of cute orange and yellow facades. How the bed takes up all of the right corner (effective use of space). The ironer and iron table. And the Nordic color tones used throughout the room + the beautiful tall windows. I could live here!

Great Danish Modern styled Hotel in central Copenhagen. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The room 222 was a good size and well appointed. Lots of light. Washroom was also quite large. I understand this is in the newer building so can't comment on the older part. Food was great in the restaurant both for dinner and breakfast. Likely the best hotel buffet breakfast I've had. I usually opt out and grab something close by but after the first morning was zipping down to breakfast each morning. Cappuccinos were one of the best in Copenhagen which is, again, surprising. I usually spend much of my research time on the closest artisan style coffeehouse. Overall great design details, great gym, great food and friendly service.

Cool and very friendly place in the lobby area!

The bonus points is that it is steps away (literally just outside) to the metro and only a short 30 minute ride to the airport (via metro) and only a few minutes away from the city. The property is beautiful and the breakfast is phenomenal- perhaps my favourite part of my stay here. Staff are friendly, welcoming and the check in process was quick. I was able to leave my luggage here and take the metro to the city (only 7 minutes to the main station). If I wanted, I could've paid an extra fee to check in earlier too and get a bigger room but I decided not to. The room was quite small, yet comfortable and nice. The washroom was also nice and I really appreciated the cleanliness of both the room and the facility itself. I love the design of the place, and the breakfast area. I love the concept of juice on tap. The juice selection was top notch. I also enjoyed the wide selection of breads, pastries and a good mix of savoury and sweets for breakfast. Breakfast is at an additional fee but if you book in advance when booking your room, it may be cheaper than getting it once you arrive. Wifi worked well and was fast. I would recommend and stay here again if I'm ever in Copenhagen. For the price though, it's a bit high but convenience and cleanliness is what I was looking for, and I got both. The next morning, I only had to walk a short distance to get to the free shuttle bus that takes you to the cruise port.

From the quaint, secluded entrance (which looks like it is on an alleyway but it was an actual street!) to the plant-filled, cozy courtyard to the room to the common areas, I was so impressed with this historic yet contemporary property! It was our first night in Europe, and to say we were jetlagged from our eight-hour transoceanic flight is putting it mildly. But as soon as my head hit the pillow on the comfortable bed I was off to la-la land! And the breakfasts! Oh the breakfasts! Absolute best and most elaborate and varied breakfast of the trip! I have never before or since seen such an assortment of foods and beverages, including cereals, hot foods, salads (yes, salads!), cheeses, meats, breads, pastries, you name it! And the coffee was divine! You got your own pot at your table. And the service was extremely attentive and friendly. Also they had a free happy hour from 4 to 6 with wines, beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages that was just divine. They even helped us find free surface parking, next to impossible in downtown Kobenhavn! They also recommended a great restaurant district only a block or two walking distance away! The staff also spoke impeccable English and were quick with a smile or to answer any questions you had. The only slight complaint was how small the guest room (and especially bathroom therein) was, and the fact that there were some stairs and a pretty tiny elevator, but only by US standards as I later learned. You have to realize these cities and many of the buildings in them are hundreds of years old! In summary, to say I'd like to return soon to the Kong Arthur Hotel is putting it mildly!

Not to mention it was really close to Torvehallerne Square, which is around an eight-minute walk from the hotel. I arrived early, before check-in, and the reception staff offered to hold my luggage so I could explore the city. They give you a code and place it in a locked and video-monitored closet down in the basement. It was easy to do and safe for your belongings. After some exploring, I returned to the hotel around 4 PM and finally checked in. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my single room had been upgraded to a larger room for free. I was stoked to hear that and loved the room and location they gave me. The room was beautifully furnished and was very clean! The only downside is the no AC. The temperature that day was in the low 60s (60-63 degrees). This may sound nice, but it was rather toasty in my room. They had a standing fan that, unfortunately, did not rotate, but it helped somewhat. They give you very heavy-duty duvets that are better for winter weather, but thankfully, I opened some of the windows in my room, which made it more bearable to sleep at night. The staff here was so friendly and accommodating. It's very close to plenty of sights, attractions, and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. It's a beautifully decorated hotel, with lovely rooms and an excellent location.

We booked both as wheelchair accessible and while the Marriott has textured bathroom tile floors unlike the St Annæ's slippery smooth tiles, the lower than ADA allowed toilet was a problem. Also only one of the four table lamps worked. The room's door closer and threshold made egress very difficult. Staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good but subpar to the local hotel's. The location is pretty along the harbor, next to BIG's swimming and sauna chalet, and they provide robes and towels for daring guests. However it is a bit isolated from the many nicer local shops and restaurants.

The staff is friendly and quick to help. There are several amenities available on-site. The bathtub is high with a slope on all sides, making it very slippery to get in and out (1/2 star off). There is no rubber bath mat to prevent slippage. Be careful. The location is great if you are looking to mostly stay on the canal and walk around the boardwalk. However, it is 15 minute walk to the nearest metro station and city center. There is a hotel restaurant, but no other restaurants nearby within 15 minute walk. This is fine for the summer, but inconvenient in sub-zero temperatures (1/2 star off). I stayed here in February, so found myself rather trapped unless I take a taxi everywhere.
