The view was really nice. We stayed in the newer tower. The room was comfortable. The bed was low. More pillows would be great. Location is good. There are restaurants nearby. Taxis and Ubers are easy to find. Easy access to public transportation. The elevators worked great. Fresh fruits and water were available near the check in desk in the lobby. I wish that the hotel would have provided guests with a couple bottles of water upon arrival, or in the room. Public transportation is easy to access from the hotel. We purchased the breakfast, but did not have time as we had massages booked for that morning. I hope we weren't charged for the breakfast. I would stay there again. The upgrade was really nice!

If you are a person like me who enjoys walking, you can walk to many/most of the places that you may want to go to around Copenhagen. Also, this hotel is very close to the rail station. So, if you hope to use this hotel as a base of transportation around Copenhagen, or beyond, you can easily get moving. In addition, though this hotel was constructed in 1960, (and the staff is very proud of this fact), it is a very up-to-date hotel. The rooms are well designed and very modern. Plus, the staff keeps this location very clean. A tip I would like to provide is that I believe if you are going to stay at this hotel you should really go for one of the rooms on the higher floors, known as their Superior Rooms. Though a bit more expensive, with this, you get a great view all across Copenhagen. Though this is a good hotel, I believe a few of the negative elements that take place at this location also must be discussed. Which I will do in a moment. To tell my most recent story at this hotel. My plane arrived at 10:00 AM. I got to the hotel a bit before 11:00. As check-in is at 3:00 PM, I expected that I would just do the initial check-in process, give them our luggage to hold, and go out on the town for a few hours. I was surprised to hear that the room was ready and that I could have, "Early Check-in." Amazingly, either due to the fact that we had prepaid the room on the Radisson website or that I am a Radisson Premier Member, they did not charge us the early check-in fee. Thanks! That was a great gift as we got to get our luggage situated in our room before we hit the streets. Sadly, that is where the positive elements of this stay ended. A few negative things happened. When we checked in, our room was supplied with two toothbrushes. This is very expected in a five-star hotel. By the second night, we had run out of toothpaste, but the housekeeping staff had not replaced the toothbrushes. We called down and were rudely told that they only give out one toothbrush per stay. They would give us one more but if we asked for another one, they would have to charge us for it. What! I wish I asked for that individual's name, as I would put it in this review. I have traveled extensively for over forty years and have stayed in five-star hotels all across the globe, and this is the first time I was not provide with new toothbrushes every day. My suggestion to the management, if you wish to continue this policy, is to not provide any toothbrush in the first place, as that experience was simply insulting. We were staying in this hotel for a week. How long do you expect those little baby-sized toothpastes to last? The next day we went to a local store and bought our own toothbrushes and toothpaste. This is simply poor policy. The next problem also involved the housekeeping staff. It was very common that our bar soap, shampoo, and conditioner would not be replaced each day. Again, I have never experienced this at a five-star hotel. Every day, it is common practice that you will find a new supply. If this hotel is trying to save money, and this practice comes down from the top, my humble suggestion is that you re-think this method of operation as it truly leaves your guests without the essentials that they need. On our final day, we left the room at 8:00 AM and returned at approximately 4:00 PM. It still had not been cleaned. I am assuming that the housekeeping staff heard me when I entered the room and exclaimed, "Are you kidding me," because a short time later one of the staff members knocked on the door, "Oh, did you want your room cleaned?" "Of course." Thus, we had to go back outside for a time. Finally, I want to discuss elevator noise in this hotel. Long ago, I learned that you never stay next to an elevator in a hotel, or your sleep will be disrupted by the constant noise. The room they gave us was one room away from the elevator, so I thought we would be fine. Wrong. As stated, this is an old hotel. I didn't notice it when we first checked in or I would have requested a different room, but even though there was a room between us and the elevators, you could hear the elevators moving up and down constantly. If you stay at this hotel, be sure to request a room as far away from the elevators as possible. That's my story. Overall, the staff, except for the one previously mentioned individual, were all very nice. Though, I must state that when we went down to check out at 6:00 AM there was a notice on the reception desk that the staff member was on a break. We had to get one of the kitchen staff to call her to get her back to her station. But, other than that, all of the people seem very nice. This is a good, centrally located hotel, but be aware, it does have its setbacks.

We got a room that overlooked Tivoli, so that was a unique experience, especially since there was a rock concert one of those nights that was playing right outside (and the hotel gave us 2 cans of Mikkeller beer to enjoy the concert with). You also get free access to Tivoli by staying here, on all of your days including days of check-in and check-out, just ask the front desk for wrist bands! And it's the premium pass with all the rides. I didn't realize that until we got there and had purchased tickets beforehand, but the hotel advised that I could go to the service desk and get those refunded, which they did without a fuss. We booked 2 nights via points through Hyatt and it was more than worth it, since we spent 40-45k/night and the cash rate was going for over $1k/night. Availability might be limited so book early. The room can feel a little dated, but it's part of the historical vibe with creaky wooden floors and antique furniture. Nevertheless the restroom is modern and clean. The free breakfast we had is amazing. Not sure if it's free for all, but we have Explorist status with Hyatt if that mattered. It was quality over quantity, but man, quality. There was this truffle scrambled egg that was so good. Check out the Nimb bar too, the ambiance is classy yet casual, and the drinks are uniquely presented. Service is great too! Our waitress actually took time after getting our drinks to chat with us and ask where we're from, how long we're visiting. It's a pricey place, yes. But if you have the points or can splurge a little, it's worth staying at least a night once in your life!

Management of the Hotel Nimb is both incompetent and inflexible…read more Over Memorial Day Weekend 2022, more than 7000 flights in the U.S. were cancelled due to weather and personnel shortage issues. My flight from Miami to London Heathrow was cancelled initially due to weather-related issues and then thereafter pushed another day due to crew and operational issues on behalf of BA. While I was in contact and had my travel agency contact the Hotel Nimb, we were advised irrespective of the reasoning for a hotel cancellation, given the last-minute cancellation I would be charged, nonetheless for a no-show penalty. Problem statement: the hotel could not charge my credit card - not sure why, but my travel agent gave the wrong AMEX. Hotel Nimb's Key Account Manager reached out to me directly and I willingly provided my AMEX number with the caveat, the moment you charge my AMEX, I will transparently review your inflexibility and irrational management style. And thus, we are here... as a frequent U.S.-based business traveler who holds Concierge Key status on American Airlines, Platinum status on Delta Airlines, Ambassador status with Marriott, and Diamond Status with Hilton, I can wholeheartedly let you know I have never had such rude, incompetent, and outright aggressive hotel personnel interact with me. Mind you, I appreciate we live in world where the entire hospitality industry was affected by COVID, but so were we all... I forewarn all potential guests of the Hotel Nimb that Summer 2022 will be impacted by significant number of last-minute flight cancellations due to staffing, crew, and operational issues with all international airlines... given my suboptimal experience with the Hotel Nimb's soft product, e.g., management, I would promptly steer away from this property under any circumstances. The breakfast buffet was delicious as well and had a variety of options. THE BAD: A Masterclass in How Not to Let Guests Sleep Apparently, this hotel believes the true Copenhagen luxury experience is choosing between heatstroke and listening to strangers drink wine beneath your window until 11:00 PM. There is absolutely no air conditioning in the rooms--which, okay, understandable in Denmark. But what really elevates the experience is that they also provide no fans whatsoever. Your only option is to open the windows... which would almost make sense if management hadn't decided to host a nightly courtyard social club directly underneath guest rooms. My room faced the courtyard where guests were encouraged to sit, drink, laugh, and hold full-volume life discussions every night until 11 PM. With the windows open, it sounded like I had accidentally booked a bed inside the hotel bar. With the windows closed, the room became a beautifully sealed Scandinavian sauna. And before anyone says, "Surely the hotel offered a solution?" -- no. Staff were completely dismissive when I raised the issue. No effort to manage the noise, no room change, no fan, no concern. Just a polite version of "good luck." The fan situation deserves special recognition. The hotel website prominently features stylish rooms with decorative fans, giving the impression that cooling exists here in some form. In reality, asking the front desk for a fan was apparently equivalent to asking them for a private helicopter. They informed me they had exactly zero available. Attention to detail inside the rooms was equally impressive. I checked into a room with no towels at all. The next day housekeeping forgot to replace coffee supplies, creamer, and sugar. And because the room has no phone, every missing basic necessity requires getting dressed and walking downstairs to reception like you're on some sort of scavenger hunt. THE GOOD: Credit Where It's Due To be fair, the main bedroom area itself did generally match the online photos, and the lobby/common spaces are modern and attractive. If you happen to win the room lottery and avoid the courtyard side, your stay might actually be pleasant. THE REST: Breakfast: Perfectly average. Not terrible, not memorable. It exists, which after the rest of the experience felt like a victory. Bathroom: The bathroom was like stepping into a 1993 time capsule. The online photos show sleek modern bathrooms; mine featured aging pink subway tiles and a layout seemingly designed by someone who fundamentally misunderstood water. Shower runoff floods directly around the toilet, creating a charming "wet room meets college dorm" aesthetic. Whether you get a renovated bathroom or a museum exhibit appears to be entirely luck-based. Location: There are some decent restaurants nearby, which helps. To my fellow Americans, ice is not readily available so ask the wait staff to get you some. They will. Trust me try the elderflower)berry water, wonderful. Oh and management?
