And in our room the first time we stayed we woke up to the lights on and we didn't turn them on. This last visit we took pics of everything in the room before we put suitcases or anything else in there to compare and we're so glad we did. 2 little porcelain statues appeared on the sink that was not there. I love this place. You get dinner with the package. The first time we had baked chicken & veggies and it was pretty good. This last time I'm just going to say the meals need some improvement. Everything else was great. From the people running the place to the people doing the ghost hunts are very nice and will answer all questions. I've been twice and will definitely be going back. This was a treat and I loved every minute of it, most of the staff was amazing. I went with a group of friends as a last minute stand it and I will go back. The younger man (I think he was running it) came up on stage with so much energy and gave us a lot of tips and pointers to look for! The food was good, you could tell the kitchen staff knows what they are doing. The only complaint I think I would have is the older woman that checked us in, I couldn't tell if she was drunk, high or both and she was definitely not personable. Apparently they've had a lot of problems with dogs. I checked in the lady behind the desk was kind of strange, but she checked me in efficiently and we were able to get into our room. Normally when I reserve ahead and I say I have a dog, they put me on the first floor, so it's easy to let the dog out. But apparently they were full so we were on the third floor. It happens. Like the La Quinta is got a few little issues. Like the . Otherwise it was very comfy beds and mostly quiet, I slept very well. And it really may traveling much easier when you can get a good rest. The location was convenient because it was right off the freeway and easy to get back on. It also helped that I had a number of good restaurants, but we can get food and then get back on our journey. We did a wedding weekend, so my grandparents, parents, and our entire bridal party were able to stay at the venue the entire weekend which made it really special. The staff at Cherokee Dock were awesome. We were able to call or email whenever we needed something, and Kelly and all of the staff were so knowledgeable about the venue and the wedding industry. They were super kind and flexible and helped with whatever we needed. They are definitely pros in the wedding industry! All my vendors also loved working with the Cherokee Dock staff. It rained on our wedding day, but The Estate at Cherokee Dock has a built-in rain plan that made the day so much less stressful. They also have so many beautiful ceremony spots, a great catering kitchen that all of our caterers loved. The pictures came out amazing, too! There were so many great photo spots like on the swing by the Cumberland River and on the dock! This weekend was the best weekend of my life and I could not recommend having your wedding at The Estate At Cherokee Dock more. All of her friends came from everywhere and we were all able to stay at the mansion together for several days. The mansion is beautiful, extremely well kept and quite modern. The views from every window are gorgeous views of the river. My daughter loved it so much that she wanted to get married there.... Fast Forward to this weekend: The wedding was more than anything any of us expected. Every detail was thought of. There wasn't a leaf by the pool. There wasn't a weed anywhere to be found. We used the pool, hot tub, pool bar, arcade, movie theater...... and the list is never ending.... Kevin, Anika and the entire Staff are like family to their guests. They will take care of every detail that you need help with.
