Expensive lunch place but with good quality. The Caesar salad was a bit overdressed but tasty.

We stayed in this lovely hotel in Lauterbrunnen in early March. The rooms were charming and unique,…read moreso unlike the large chain hotels. It was clean and the bedding was SO comfortable! Our room had a good sized balcony with table and chair and absolutely breathtaking views of the mountains. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk to the train station as well as the gondola to ride up the mountain. Also close to shopping at three coop store. Breakfast was included and was excellent. Coffee and tea available 24/7 in the lobby. Staff super helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Loved our stay at this property in Lauterbrunnen. Not sure how/why, but we ended up with the 007…read more(James Bond) suite. Smelled faintly of cigarette smoke (rooms are non-smoking, but they allow smoking on the balconies), but I just kept the window open and that helped. The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the falls. Usually we don't like to eat at the hotels where we stay (unless we have to), but the restaurant here was top notch. Liked it so much we ate there 2 of the three nights we were in town. I had the deer both nights, absolutely scrumptious). Their pizzas seem popular, though we did not have one. Super conveniently located across the street from the train station and next to the cable car up to Murren and next to the Coop Grocery (easy to pick up snacks or a bottle of wine). Not for the faint of heart, though. Dragging our bags up the hill to the property was a job - thankfully we were up to it, but if you're booking keep your fitness level in mind (or maybe the hotel offers some sort of help? I didn't ask.) I would definitely recommend staying here. If ever back in Lauterbrunnen, I would stay again.

Incredible experience all around. After wandering Mürren looking for somewhere to eat we stumbled…read moreupon here and could not have had a better experience if we tried. The food, drinks, prices, staff, and portions are amazing. We shared a Rösti with fried egg, a Rösti with bacon, and the Regina platter between 3 of us and there was more than enough food. The Helles beer is light and refreshing after a full day of hiking. Could not recommend this spot more. Oh, and to top it off, the view is unbelievable. Thank you for an amazing time, Hotel Regina!

So, my sister and I, the unofficial "booking agents" for our family trip finally said piss on it and went with the "cheapest" family-option we could find in Murren. I'm not going to say the price because it's slightly embaressing given we had a shared bathroom...but for the sake of curiosity, think luxury hotel in America. Despite our desperate splurge on what would be comparable to a national park/no frills establishment in the US, there were many perks to staying at Hotel Regina. 1.) Murren is the perfect-sized village - small enough to be tremendously quiet at night (so much in fact, we could hear the waterfalls outside our mountainview windows at night - - the waterfalls were all the way across the valley!!!), yet, big enough to have a mini grocery, stash of restaurants and plenty of starting points for hiking. Note: I highly recommend the route down to Gimmelwald and from there down another level to the bottom of the valley. 2.) Spacious mountain view porches with big windows and doors facing out towards a drop off (both open so you can let the outdoors in). 3.) A delicious and traditional complimentary Swiss breakfast complete with muesli, multiple cheeses, fruits and cereal. Not to mention, that the bright and airy room breakfast is served is breathtaking. 4.) Free wifi in the lobby - but who needs internet with they're in the Alps? 5.) The rooms, in my opinion, are gorgeous in a natural and simple way that beats out a fancy hotel any day.
