I also had a very poor experience with an employee recently as well. A couple of friends and I decided to go at 10pm because there's almost nobody there that late, and after one of my friends connected to the gyms sound system to play our own music. The employee (the only other person in the gym apart from us) thought it was appropriate to immediately yell at us and accuse us of not having a membership in an attempt to throw us out. A simple, "you're not allowed to do that" would've sufficed, even though we do this just about every time we go this late and none of the other employees seemed to mind given the place is totally empty and we aren't playing anything different than what they play. Then the employee decided to put on his own music and turn it up as if to drive us out. Ive been considering canceling my membership for a while because of the decreased quality of the equipment, but after this my friends and I are definitely going to a different gym.

Once I entered, I saw the front desk and apparel area and saw the cubbies to put my stuff in. They had glass doors separating the reformer area from the front which I liked. The reformers were quite spaced out and the equipment was really new. Even the bathrooms were quite nice and could double as a changing place. My instructor Jody was really knowledgeable and made sure to account for any injuries and added enhancements for each move in case we wanted to get more of a workout. She also made sure we got on and did the exercises safely. Overall I like this franchise because of how new it is!

Our only "offense"? Politely asking the trainer and manager not to pressure us into lifting heavier weights or making modifications we weren't comfortable with. Rather than fostering an environment of respect and individual growth, they chose to remove us entirely instead of finding middle ground. When we voiced this concern, the manager's only response was: *"Do you not want us to talk to you?"* That was the extent of the solution offered--no conversation, no compromise. Meanwhile, trainers repeatedly called us out on the microphone during workouts, creating an unnecessary distraction that took away from our focus and enjoyment. Ironically, the first trainer we met understood us immediately. She reassured us, saying, *"You guys know what you're doing. We won't come around and correct you."* So why was that respect not extended across the entire staff? To be clear, we loved the workouts and expressed this to management. Yet, it seems that didn't factor into their decision at all. Fitness should be about progress at one's own pace, not being forced into someone else's idea of intensity. If you're looking for a place that respects individualized goals, this may not be it. On top of that, stretching--an essential part of any workout--feels like an afterthought here. Instead of properly guiding members through cool-downs, trainers cut the session short to pitch their products, leaving many walking out without stretching at all. Burn Boot Management made a lasting impression--but for all the wrong reasons.
