I usually lift or do yoga and had tried pilates twice before and had been unimpressed. That was before I had a one-on-one session with Linda at Urban. She is a fantastic coach. She clearly has a deep understanding of the discipline and is an excellent motivator. The session was perfectly tailored to my goals -- strenuous and focused on core strength and mobility. Joel's teaching style is patient and kind. The classes are so small it feels more like physical therapy or personal training rather than group fitness. They put me through the paces three times a week in a trio setting. The instructors work with students of many levels at once, so each participant gets a workout on their own level. My husband trains with me two times a week. Any infirmities we are blessed with are always taken into consideration with special modifications, so don't worry about aches and pains. The atmosphere is pleasant and encouraging at all times, with a variety of apparatus to make the workout interesting. The result is improved strength, endurance, and flexibility.

They offer quite a variety of classes and have the most up-to-date, nicest equipment including full cadillac reformers. Sign up for a jump board (cardio Pilates), Pilates aligned, Core-Align, Pilates chair, or a mat class. Highly recommend all of them! The instructors here are so knowledgeable and really help push you to your fullest potential. They also offer private sessions if you are new to Pilates or looking to have a solo session so you and your body are the main focus.
