I found the studio online and of all the studios I looked at, it had the most variety of classes at times that worked for us (after regular working hours and on weekends). We signed up for the initial $20 unlimited 2 weeks pass and crammed in as many classes as we could over that time. Every class we took and every instructor we worked with was fantastic. I did 2 of the video classes as well. Everyone was kind and welcoming. And we loved that every single class and instructor reinforced that everyone's yoga practice is individual and we should feel free to modify as needed and ask for help when needed. We have since purchased multiple of the 30 class packs but I think we'll switch to the monthly rate as soon as we've used all of our classes. We look forward to the 2-3 classes a week we attend; they've become so much a part of our weekly routine that everything feels "off" if we miss one! The fact that Lift has now added a John's Creek location is even better for us, since we split time between my home in Alpharetta and my partner's house in John's Creek - so wherever we are, we can find a class time and location that works. Final note: I can only assume the handful of people giving 1-star reviews and complaining about the studio being "activist" and "political" are anti-maker folks who bristled at being asked to wear a mask and social distance inside the studio. We gladly wore our masks for the first several months we attended and continue to distance while inside the studio when requested. Yoga is not a-political. The very essence of yoga requires truth, justice, peace, and learning - and yes, activism. Anyone who doesn't understand that doesn't understand yoga.

It's a semi-private studio environment so you don't have to worry about being judged! The space is always clean and well-stocked with snacks, towels, water, etc. Their use of technology is also great - you receive a heart rate monitor, you can see your schedule on an app, you get scanned periodically on the Styku to see your progress, and you can even text your trainers! As you continue to go, you learn the moves and if your flailing someone will quickly be at your side. The music is loud, but I find music really helps in a harder workout. It gave high school boys locker room during PE instead of $35 a class pilates. I was left extremely confused after every change, unsure if I was performing the movements correctly, and genuinely in pain. I didn't feel like I was exercising, I felt like I was completely focused on not falling over and trying to figure out what she was saying. I genuinely believe the instructor did her job perfectly fine, but the class style itself was the opposite of what I was prepared for. Do NOT book this if you are used to normal pilates and are hoping to experience that style of class. It was so overwhelming between the confusion, lights off, blaring the most dogsh!t music, the weirdly fast pace of the class, and the lack of direction.

I will admit that the prices appeared too high at first, but I decided to give it a try. I ended up signing up for 8 stretches a month. The schedule is fairly convenient, and it was easy to book appointments using the App. The sessions last 30 minutes. You can decide to have your upper or lower body stretched during each session. You can also combine two sessions if you want a full body stretching over 60 minutes. I have found that the male practitioners provide a deeper stretching experience. If you decide to sign up, I would highly suggest scheduling a session with Quon Foote. He's the best. In terms of overall results, I feel lighter, looser, and more relaxed than I did previously. I've been able to improve my flexibility and even develop some muscle definition over time. If you're looking to reduce stress and take better care of yourself, then I would definitely recommend trying the Stretch Zone in Roswell. Cheers
