I'm opting to remain anonymous as I would expect some sort of backlash once my review is posted. I…read morehave been a member of this gym for a while and consistently attended classes with several different coaches. There's bad apples every where you go; however, in it's current state, this gym is one big bad apple. The surface level issues I encountered were: equipment is damaged or in disrepair. Example of this is 8 sections of there 15 section HSPU wall are all broken with big X's drawn across. These have been unusable for the majority of the time I've been a member. Barbells are very rusted, plates are broken, wall balls are covered in duct tape, and the rig has never been cleaned. The childcare room is nothing more than a closet filled with donated toys that are covered in dirt/debris and is rarely monitored by a childcare worker. They've received threats of eviction due to noise complaints so they're unable to play music at anything other than a low to possibly moderate level. Those are all issues that can be easily corrected (with the exception of the music). However, the culture of the gym is extremely toxic. There are numerous cliques in every class and they make a point to make you feel like you're not "in their circle". The female coaches openly gossip about members and make fun of anyone who considers leaving the gym. During workouts the coaches either train with their older children exclusively, or they spend the class sitting on a box and playing on their phone. Injuries happen in CrossFit; however, injuries are a common occurrence at this gym. Proper form is not monitored and you're made fun of if you happen to be a scaled athlete. Instead of leaving the class satisfied with what you've learned or accomplished, you end up leaving feeling like you're not good enough and defeated. Watching members come out of the pitiful foundations class they offer just to be made fun of during a normal workout is nothing short of infuriating. Due to these issues the gym has lost in excess of 20 members over the last 6 months. They've recently been purchased by the few remaining members and I sincerely hope they can overcome the stigma they've created within the community and make this place successful. The previous owner resides in another country but that should never excuse the unprofessional behavior of the coaches and the lack of care/attention a simple cleaning or remounting of equipment. The coaches didn't own the gym until recently; however, they directly contributed to the failure of it.

I read the last review left on here and felt like I needed to post my experience at CrossFit Mount…read moreJuliet. The gym is under new ownership and they're awesome. Both my children have gone to the gym with me since they were both 8 weeks old. The coaches and child care staff have loved, held, rocked, entertained, and kept my babies safe and happy while I got an hour to work on myself. There is always a child care worker who is engaging and plays with the children. There is a TV for the kids to watch, books to read, supplies to draw and color with, and toys for the kids to play with. The child care worker is engaging and both my kids LOVE going and getting to play with their friends! The coaches are so helpful and genuinely care about you and your progress. They can change or modify anything you have issues with or are uncomfortable doing! As someone who couldn't do a sit-up when I walked in that gym, I have never felt belittled or made fun of for scaling a workout! I was praised for knowing my limits and for trying my best, always! I was given plenty of different options for workouts to best fit me and where my fitness level was during different stages of my life, like pregnancy and postpartum. I have always felt welcome and apart of this great CrossFit community! I love the new changes to the gym the new owners have made, like new, extended rigs, organized equipment, an awesome handstand push-up wall, updated bathrooms and showers, etc. these owners and coaches care about YOU and your fitness and only helping you to be the best version of yourself!! Thankful to be apart of this awesome community and gym!!

There are not enough reviews for this gym, and there should be more 5 stars!…read more I've been visiting from Washington DC for a little over two weeks, and I wanted to find a gym that I could go to, and thankfully I found Crossfit Hendersonville!!! They have three coaches, Lindsey, Alex, and Scott who are extremely knowledgeable, go through each exercise with the group, walk around and provide tips, guidance and instruction to the members to make sure that they are doing the exercise properly as to not to injure yourself and to get the most benefit out of it. Their workout programs are thoroughly thought through for each week, and provided on their website. They apparently moved in to a new facility, and it is top notch! Plenty of room, nice and clean equipment. They also have classes for kids too, so you can bring your kids with you and everyone gets their sweat on! They acknowledge any new members or walk-ins (like me) at the beginning of the workout, everyone is so nice and welcoming. The coaches make it a point to carefully watch all the new comers and help where needed. I know that I've made huge progress on my T2B's because of Scott and Lindsey. I've also learned new mobility movements, movements to help stretching, injury rehab, etc... I will take everything that I've learned at Crossfit Hendersonville with me back to DC, as well as the friendships that I've made while visiting. I can't thank the coaches and members enough for pushing me, and providing me a great workout experience! I found a new gym while I visit, and I can't wait to come back!

Great Facility -- Terrible, Vindictive Ownership…read more The Goodlettsville HOTWORX studio itself is clean, well-maintained, and the saunas are always in great working order. Unfortunately, the ownership and management are the complete opposite of what this brand stands for -- overly sensitive, vindictive, and unprofessional. After I asked a few questions about my cancellation date and billing, they revoked my access immediately, despite my final payment covering the entire month of December. For full transparency, and since Candace will most certainly respond, and I won't have the ability to follow up, here is exactly what I wrote throughout the exchange. I'll let you decide if it was worthy of revoking my access to the studio. And for the record, I've tried to call the facility and her cell phone, but she won't take my calls, and she has not responded to a single email since she revoked my access... Nov 1, 11:44 AM: "Hi, Candace. I need to cancel my Hotworx membership. Do I just need to send you this email to make it official?" Candace replied with the standard 30-day policy and said I'd be billed through December. Nov 1, 12:15 PM: "If I'm canceling today, why would my 30-day notice include the entire month of December?" She explained that November only had 30 days in it. Nov 1, 12:50 PM: "So, you're charging me a whole extra month over one day? That seems a bit ridiculous that you can't look past a one-day difference." Nov 1, 12:52 PM: "If you count today as one of the 30 days, then it would end on Nov 30." She said she understood where I was coming from, but needed to be fair to all members and offered to downgrade me to Sweat Basic. She didn't answer why Nov 1 didn't count toward the 30 days. Nov 1, 12:59 PM: "Please downgrade me then. Why doesn't Nov 1 count toward the 30 days?" She then let me know that Nov 1 would have been included in the 30 days if the request had been processed before midnight on Oct 31. Nov 1, 12:51 PM: I then sent the cancellation statement to her. She responded that the correct amount in the statement was $59, so I sent the corrected version (I had a typo in the first one). Then I received confirmation that my cancellation was processed, but they were also revoking my access immediately, accusing me of "negative or disruptive behavior" without ever specifying what that meant. I have been nothing but respectful to Candace, her husband and the members. I have even had conversations about franchising opportunities and they seemed like good people. Little did I know the pettiness lying underneath that facade. Before this experience, I was referring Hotworx to all my friends, but not anymore, thanks to Candace. I hope weaponizing your membership agreement was worth this bad review. UPDATE: As mentioned earlier in my review, I sent two emails and called twice only because I never got a reply. When I called the studio line, the voicemail provided a cell phone number, so I called that immediately after. They didn't answer, and I didn't even leave a message--yet the owners contacted the police, asking that I not reach out again. In my experience, the owners reacted very strongly to my attempts to get clarification about my membership, including involving the police instead of responding directly. It felt like a drastic reaction, so I'd advise other members to be aware of that possibility before signing up.
