It has also really helped socialize my rescue, as he was not exposed to other dogs before. This is a safe, clean and comfortable environment for our 2 dogs. With 2+ day stays, they require a bath for your dogs, which is great to know they all stay clean/free of that stinky dog odor, during their entire stay. The staff are all VERY friendly, and my dogs love seeing them when we visit- All tail wags and smiles! I also love how k9 resorts posts photos regularly, so you can check in on your pup! We have tried calling to leave messages but the voicemail box is always full and unable to accept messages. Clearly they are too busy to handle any more business. Unlike traditional kennels where your dog is caged the majority of the day, Priority Dog features 6 acres of fenced in land for furry friends to frolic and enjoy. At night, the dogs sleep in a pack (read: no crates) on comfy bedding in an air conditioned barn where they are supervised at all times. When I first heard this, I was worried my little pup might not be safe sleeping in a pack of other dogs (he's crate trained), but all of Susan's dog are well-adjusted. Throughout my vacation, Susan sent me updates and photos of my pup - he looked like he was in doggy heaven.. totally loved it. At $34 per day for boarding, I'll definitely be using Priority Dog in the future.

We've been going to Joanie's for years. Not ever because of the service. She is always rude and has…read morean attitude about how your dog looks (like hello, we're going to you for help). We continued going there because of the price (which isn't even cheap anymore) but jokes on us, now I know why. Yesterday was the last straw. Not only does the place look like it's getting dirtier but the cuts are getting worse. Our dog look pretty much the same when we picked her up. At first glance you think it's nice that Joanie's doesn't cage the pups. She leaves them to roam free in the store. Not after today!!! There is no prescreening to check for rabies or ticks. My dog came home with a tick AFTER the haircut. She's never had a tick. Last thing I will say is that my sister in law went to pick my dog up and she didn't know it was cash only. They kept my terrified dog there as "collateral" (even though my dog saw her come in) until she could find the money. She ran around town for 30 min trying to find a cash back spot. We've been going there for over 9 years & you'd think they'd allow us to come back with the cash. Sorry Joanie, it's time to retire.
