Had the pleasure of staying at site 48 for my first camping experience! I can only speak of the…read moresite and the hiking trails. Site 48: There are lots and lots and lots of bugs. You will find flies of all shapes and sizes, mosquitoes, and spiders. This part isn't fun. But it's nature and it's expected. Make sure you load up on your bug spray. Other than that, you're given a fire ring, picnic table, and a pretty large space to back your car in so it's out of the road. The site is more or less secluded if you parked your car in the entrance. It's not fully shaded like it says online though. The latrine is suuuuper close by and so is the water spout. Definitely recommend this spot and will for sure be coming back to it. The trails: we hiked blue trail and it wasn't terrible but was totally not what I expected! There's tons of inclines and lots of climbing. If you're a hiking junky, you'll like it. If you're a first timer, I don't really recommend. And if you're a casual walker/hiker, you can give it a try but I personally don't think it's worth it. There are some slippery and rocky slopes. Other than that, I still enjoyed it but hear me out when I say it's not for the casual walkers!! The campground and park is overall well kept. The latrines don't smell awful in the day because of it's solar panel ventilation systems. Beware of it when the sun goes down. The water is safe to cook and drink. The staff maintaining the area is more or less nice. They have a very strict no alcohol and pets policy so don't let them catch you with either! And I repeat again DO NOT FORGET YOUR BUG SPRAY.

The showers are clean and the water is just right. Every day the camp site workers come by to keep everything nice and neat. Definitely a place to return to in the future, we paid $77 for 4 days, 6 people, 2 tents & 2 vehicles.... you can't beat that for a great outdoors experience with the family.

It was not open the whole summer we were there for almost a year we signed a contract with them and he decided to break that contract he gave us less than 30 days notice to leave the premises he only gave us four days our family did nothing wrong he accused my daughter of breaking into the gym and in our contract you can use the gym because we live there and there's really nothing to do there for kids they say they have all these activities they don't. Ron comes off as a nice person but he really is not when you first meet him you'll see his true colors if you want to have a great summer of camping mirror lake is not the place for you to go. They have a gaming room there which is for campers but the only time that the gaming room is open is when there is a large group of out of town people not there for the kids that actually stay there for long term. State parks charge more for less. - Quiet setting - Wooded sites - All sites have water and some have water and electric - Clean bathrooms and showers (only 2 of each but in 2 evenings, I never had an issue. I was gone during the day and not sure what it's like in that timeframe. it's not a large campground and there are multiple RVs and I suspect they use their own facilities.) - You will receive a welcome bag at check-in with a site map to help you get to your site, the rules and regs, a guide to The Berkshires, a large garbage bag, and a pen. - The On-site laundry is in a small cabin-like building. It is clean and has a table, two chairs, and many books - On-site propane station - Large playground, an entertainment pavilion, a rec room (I didn't use them so not sure what's included) I will definitely stay again if/when I'm the area.
