I have been a patient of Amy Waldman NP for about 4 years. Amy is Caring and thorough in her exams…read more I recommend her to all my friends and family. Wait time is short and easy to get in when you are not feeling well. I've never had a problem with her staff except at times lack of knowledge but they are office staff and not drs. I would not believe the reviews with 1 star and only one reviews they seem to be from someone with a grudge.

From the moment I arrived, the front desk person and manager, Sandy was hostile. Overall the appointment was demeaning, and genuinely disturbing, especially for a place claiming to provide mental health support. I arrived for my 10:30 appointment for medication management, something my therapist strongly recommended. I expected compassion and professionalism. Instead, I was met with a level of disrespect and incompetence that left me completely shaken. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist Sandy acted like my presence annoyed her. She offered no direction, no welcome, and no basic courtesy. When I told her I needed to fill out the intake forms in-office, she behaved irritated and dismissive. I filled out their digital packet not once, not twice, but three separate times, each time fully completing it -- only for the system to invalidate everything. When I brought it to the desk, Sandy gave me attitude every single time. She refused my multiple requests for a paper version until I basically had to beg, and even then she handed it over with a smirk, making it clear she thought helping me was some kind of burden. After I returned the forms, she asked for my ID. When she finished scanning it, she threw my license across the counter, letting it bounce off the papers. That was the moment I told her she clearly had an attitude problem. When I asked how to file a complaint, she smirked and said she was the manager. I asked to speak to Amy Waldman, the provider I was scheduled to see. Sandy told me Amy "only sees patients," implying that because I dared to hold them accountable, I suddenly wasn't one. She went behind the counter and loudly talked about me -- unprofessional, inappropriate, and embarrassing -- and when Amy came out, she didn't ask if I was okay, didn't de-escalate, didn't show any professionalism. She opened with, "What's the problem here?" Sandy kept interrupting, talking over Amy and over me, until Amy finally told her to stop. Then Amy -- instead of addressing the behavior, apologizing, or showing any concern -- simply asked, "Do you want the appointment or not?" Absolutely no accountability from either of them. None. This nightmare lasted over an hour and fifteen minutes, all while I was there seeking help for my mental health. When I asked how I could file a formal complaint, Amy told me, "This is my business, you can take your business elsewhere." And that told me everything I needed to know. After leaving, still shocked, I looked up their reviews on Zocdoc, Google, and Yelp -- and sure enough, there are multiple negative reviews saying the exact same things I experienced. Seeing those reviews confirmed that what I experienced wasn't a one-off -- it's a pattern. I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Board of Medicine. No patient should ever be treated the way I was treated, especially when seeking mental health care. Avoid this office at all costs. The behavior here is unacceptable, toxic, and harmful.

For example, I was running low on medications and my prescriptions from the last appointment did not get processed; the receptionists helped to get in contact with Dr. B and arrange my prescription that day. That brings me to Dr B. Himself. Cheerful, jubilant, and thoughtful. His words are positive and encouraging and I can tell he takes my concerns seriously. He has helped me choose a plan of action that has been so far effective. I'm sure the other practitioners are equally as receptive and kind.

I'm very disappointed with how my recent experience at Evolve Psychiatry was handled. I had a…read moreconfirmed telehealth appointment at 1:00 PM. I received both a text and email confirmation just before the appointment and waited until 1:30 PM for the provider to join. When I finally called the office, I was told the provider, Ruth Moze, had an emergency and that someone should have reached out to inform me -- but no one ever did. I was then rescheduled for another appointment later that same day, only to get a phone call twenty minutes later saying that appointment was also canceled because that provider had an emergency. Having two same-day cancellations, with no communication beforehand, was incredibly upsetting and discouraging. For context, I had been receiving care at Evolve for about a year for medication management. I was happy with my doctor at first. After a successful pregnancy and giving birth, I developed postpartum depression. During my last scheduled visit, my provider called earlier than the set time, and I wasn't in a private space to talk, which made the conversation rushed and uncomfortable. That experience made me realize I needed a new psychiatrist who could better support me through this period. I had hoped to stay within Evolve because I already had an established history there. But after both of my new appointments were canceled--one after I had already been waiting--it left me without care and feeling completely disregarded. As a mother of six-month-old twins trying to manage postpartum depression, this experience has taken a serious emotional toll. I'm deeply disappointed and now have to start all over again with a new practice, which feels overwhelming given everything I'm already managing. I hope Evolve Psychiatry takes accountability for these communication failures and makes changes so other patients, especially those struggling with their mental health, don't go through the same thing.
