Very helpful on the phone (I live in Michigan). The day after Mother's Day when stock was very low, they came through with a lovely (upgraded) basket of mixed plants and flowers. The basket was sent to the funeral home very promptly. My daughter loved the dragonfly that was with the planter. I am writing you because I am simply overwhelmed. My very special Aunt Jewel passed away a week ago yesterday in Springfield. I am in the Atlanta area in Georgia. As of Friday morning, I did not have any details of the funeral arrangements. I began looking all over the internet for the kind of floral arrangement I wanted to send for the funeral froom my Father, Jewel's baby brother and myself. I was very disappointed by the limitations I found on the "big" floral websites. I have found in the past that it is often better to contact local establishment for better service. This has been true in catering and other arrangements I have needed across the miles, so I thought I would try it in this case...I googled Florists in Springfield and was blessed to find House of Flowers. I called and was also blessed that Ian picked up the phone. Ian took the time to LISTEN to me talk about my Aunt. He did NOT hurry me off the phone. My Aunt was indeed a very special woman to her family and to her extended family in Springfield. I cannot tell you how much it meant to me for Ian to take this time with me. Moreover it was so reflected in the arrangement that was delivered to the funeral home. IT WAS PERFECT. I know that Ian took special care in the details of this arrangement for me with the Angel, the Cardinal and every single piece of greenery and flower. Everyone was so amazed at how it perfectly reflected the spirit of Jewel. Every touch was her to the last detail. The beauty of the arrangement touched everyone at the viewing and the funeral. I went in to get flowers for my daughter 16th birthday! I wanted to do something special for her but as always for me I didn't have much too spend. I can't say enough about how sweet, kind, understanding, patient and helpful they were. I'm not sure if she was the owner, manager or simply an employee but the young woman who helped me seemed to see and feel my internal turmoil and how important it was to me. She did what few would do (I'll keep the details between her and I) and she really showed up for me and I'll never be able to thank her enough! My daughter LOVED the flowers, they were perfect!
