We reside 2+ hours away in Sterling Heights so I was happy we decided to make a pit-stop to this fascinating store. The store is right off of Hwy 20/Isabella; they are next to a store called the Merchandise Outlet. There is plenty of room for parking. Lots to look at! There are multiple vendors with a wide variety of items. Overall prices were reasonable. The isles were clean and well put together. I pushed my mom in her wheelchair and we fit nicely in-between the isles. There were two employees on site, they were friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely add this to my list of things to do when I am in the area.

They had a lot of fun and whimsical outdoor/farmhouse decor, vintage pyrex, antique dolls, old estate jewelry, and a lot of kitsch items. The prices on what I did see was on par with the area, but the lack of organization and messy layout was a bit of a distraction. I'm sure they had a whole lot more stuff I never even noticed or knew was there. It definitely is a cute antiques shop but I would definitely need a whole day to poke around a likely a few trips to the building to really get a feel for what they had and a better idea of what they are as far as being more geared to kitsch, memorabilia, decor, straight up antiques or all things vintage. One thing that stuck out to me- no one who worked here greeted me or my wife or gave us the time of the day. We were ignored entirely. I found that a little odd.

Even…read morethough a few of our club members wanted to go anywhere else, a couple people talked us into giving the MI Antique Fest ONE MORE TRY. What a waste of time and money! Charge way to much to get in, even charged for the driver of a show car. Fewer vendors each year as this once great show dies slowly like a fish out of water. The entire fairgrounds used to get filled with vendors, now less than 1/2 full. I realize Midland County most likely has raised the cost to rent the grounds, but at what cost to the show quality and numbers? I had enjoyed this show for decades, back when the flea market was big, the food vendors were all over, and you had a good car show and sales lot. NOT anymore. R.I.P. MI Antique Fest

Plus, I was surprised with a free ticket to get in the next day. $10 is a deal for shopping, being outside in a beautiful park, good food and getting back to normal. I love a company that gives back to their community! Also, I bought a very cool dresser and some heavy glass and a very handsome fireman assisted me with getting it back to my vehicle. It's a maze of every second hand treasure you could think of. My favorite was looking at all the vintage clothing. So many gorgeous sweaters- even 100% wool. I found the clothing prices to be a bit steep for secondhand, but most were quality materials so I get it. Didn't find anything to purchase this time, but if you like to window shop like me, then this is still the place for you!

What you aren't paying for is great service, unfortunately. During our visit, we needed a case unlocked to check a price. When we finally were able to find someone to help, she said she'd be right with us. Fifteen minutes later, we were still waiting. And it took another ten minutes of walking the store to find someone else...who made the same promise and then walked away. Finally, the original woman showed up. We waited literally 25 minutes to get a case unlocked! (And yes we debated multiple times about just leaving; we would have if we weren't so interested in the item.) Hopefully this was just a bad day for customer service and they can actually do better. (It was only our second visit, so I don't know how typical it was.)
