As stated on my full Review which is on my Facebook page and which I will link below for your…read morereview because my actual review was too lengthy because of the situation. I felt everything written needed to be shared though! Please check out the link if you are interested in what I have to say and I won't ever send my worse enemy to this company for help! Bottom line though, in case you don't want to read everything, the volunteers my husband and I dealt with through both The Michigan Bikers Helping Veterans and The Buddies to Buddies Program was very opinionated, judgmental and arrogant from the get go! We did everything, all the leg work and could not get one piece of information for proof because of a situation beyond on control with his VA people! They judged us and basically acted like it must not have happened, saying there hands were tied! We decided that we are just going to do things ourselves but it is sad that for a company that says "Never Forgotten"... they didn't even care about my husband and I! I guess we aren't somebody! Please read my full review and hopefully it makes enough sense! It has been a long ordeal for us and I feel we have been robbed twice! Once by my stalker and another by the very companies who in the beginning, promised help but fed us to the wolves! Thank you for your time and for reading this. We hope you aren't ever mistreated like we were, especially when you need a helping hand one day. It's like pouring salt over a festering wound! Who does that? Just not a company with any decency! I may not be high on the totem pole of life, but even I know some Business Ethics! Maybe they need to go back to Grammer school. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10155183426546371&id=670566370

Thrift shopping is my favorite place to get gems to add to my library. Here at The Salvation Army…read moreFamily Store the books are right in the front to your left. They are well organized as well as the DVDs. You can't beat the pricing for hard cover books at $1.49 each. It wasn't until I left that I noticed I was charged $2.99 for a book and $4.99 for the Forest Gump DVD. These items had small stickers on the spine that I thought were hold overs from the person who donated the items. The other books were $1.49. The children's book I purchased was only 49 cents. I will be back because this is next door to one of my favorite ice cream shops!

Well Ive messaged directly before with NO Reply so this time Ive posted on Social media and online…read morereviews with my words and photos and I have tagged the Saginaw MI store as well as The organization and have left a one star review. Here's my Post The Salvation Army USA The Salvation Army Saginaw Family Store REALLY? TWO Big Gripes and what Im going to do about them: First.. Wed is Senior discount day and they lowered the senior discount from 20 to 10%. SO Tell me what population are you trying to serve? This is a shameful nickel and diming of your elderly community. Same goes for your Veteran discount. Yeah, give them 10% off for dodging a bullet... oy. Salvation Army on State Street in Saginaw Mi. The prices in there are nutty .. sometimes they are okay and sometimes its like squirrels priced stuff. I usually shut my mouth and shake my head, leaving alot of things behind. Today I was in this morning. They have stuff priced for more then I can buy it new. Yes, no exaggeration but here was one of the most JAW DROPPING price tags. Empty jars that candles came in .. for 3.99 each. YEP... completely empty clear glass jars that used to have a candle in it. Some even with the old label still on them and they are selling them for 4 bucks a piece! GEE I wonder how much you could sell a Tomato sauce jar for? I hope they have an explanation for this and please since I cant imagine that they could explain it.. I hope they have someone go through their shelves and price items like they are not on dope. MY PLAN moving forward Ive ALWAYS donated to Salvation army with $$ with household goods and by shopping there. Im going to start donating to smaller thrift stores that are not trying to match new store prices. There are Thrift stores that continue to do the work locally.. sell their donated items at a sensible profit without overpricing everything and treat their senior and veteran communities with a respectful discount one day a week. Seems like a small thing to ask of a MAJOR organization that we keep funding. Try out : AbleLight Underground Railroad Resale
