We hired E2 to remodel our kitchen in our condo. We had met with two other contracting companies and we were given a similar quote as E2 but to be honest, meeting with Frank gave me a totally different level of confidence than meeting with the others. He listened carefully, was very honest with us about expectations and I immediately felt comfortable. This is the first remodel me and my husband have ever done so we were nervous! Frank and Alex made very quick progress with our kitchen - it's a more complicated inspection process with condominiums so inspections were the main hold-up for us. Along the way they made sure we were getting the results we wanted and were quick to make changes if we had any requests. Alex was great to work with, he is very detail oriented and does great work. He and his team always left our house and the common areas in the condo building extremely clean (cleaner than it was originally, honestly). I always felt great greeting them in the morning, knowing that the place was safe in their hands. We ended up having a weird water heater valve issue from a previous installation that had to get fixed before our final kitchen inspection and Frank came over to offer his expertise on what he thought the fix could be. I was very appreciative because I wanted to be able to talk to the plumbing company with confidence about viable solutions. Frank and his team really went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable and happy with the work. Frank asked us to leave a review and I am happy to do it because I was very pleased with their work and would truly recommend them to any one who is looking to have remodel work done.

When I moved into my condo, I wanted the hardwood floors to be renewed (not refinished since they…read morewere installed 1-2 years ago). The scope of work was to buff down the current top coat and then reapply the protective top coat/gloss. The square footage was about 500-600 sqft (hallway + living/dining room area). I called Frank and he was very responsive. I made an appointment for a walkthrough and he gave me estimates for everything I wanted done (although I went with another person for painting/other jobs). He was nice and explained everything very well. So his people came to do the floors (only took about 1.5-2 hours to complete) and he stopped by at the end to check on the work. Since the topcoat was oil based, I wouldn't be able to walk on the floor for 24 hours (which was fine because the entire condo was empty anyway). The next day, I went to check on the finished floor. I was very disappointed! There were dust particles all over so the floor felt bumpy/dirty (there were some places where it was ok but some places where it was very very dusty looking). Frank called later that night to see what I thought of it and I told him that I was dissatisfied. He went to take a look and agreed that it was unacceptable. So, he scheduled his people to go to my condo again to redo the job. I showed them where the worst places were and they said they would vacuum and wipe down the areas after buffing (I guess they didn't wipe it down afterwards?). They were in and out of the condo in 1.5 hours. The next day, I went to check on the final result. Disappointed again! There was definitely less dust particles but it looked like they buffed down some parts and recoated while other parts it just looked like they recoated on top of the existing top coat. As a result, you can see the streak/brush marks from the top coat (almost like when you paint your nails ... you put on the first coat of nailpolish but you don't wait long enough when you paint the second coat, and then you get that horrible clumpy streak). Also, you can clearly see that on the edges of the floor, there is no clear coat at all! I was very frustrated at this point because I had already scheduled other work to be done, so I didn't have time for him/crew to come in again to redo the floors. Frank called again the next day and I told him that I wasn't satisfied but I didn't have the time to have him redo it again. And with that, he charged me the price we agreed upon and my floors look actually worse than they did before they did any work. 2 stars: 1 star - Great communication ... will call you after the work is done and responds to emails quickly. 1 star - He did redo the work when I was dissatisfied ... but if you're redoing the work, it better be done correctly! But that's about it ... the work is the most important and they just didn't do a good job. I would not recommend E2 Remodel and would not use them again in the future.

He was only competitive with pricing on the countertops and paint. So I told him I would hire him for those and he started waffling because I guess he wanted the full job. I told him I never promised the entire job to one company and that I would rather break the jobs up at that point. He told me his pricing was contingent on doing the entire job and that he would get back to me on the numbers for the reduced job. I said fine. He never did get back to me even though I reached out to him 2x after that. Not professional at all. Might have been a blessing in disguise because he took over a week to get the quote to me and appeared complacent and lazy. Could have been a warning sign.

We felt incredibly lucky to have worked with Zeledon on this project. Jaime and his team have great competence and met every challenge the space presented. Their work passed City inspections quickly and we have Zeledon to thank for being able to open the doors of our business on a tight timeline. We highly recommend Zeledon. They are honest, know what they are doing, and are excellent at problem-solving. This is after checking references and receiving a contract. I have no idea if they are actually good at what they do, because I never got that far. If you need to remodel or rebuild - the last thing you need is additional stress or someone to waste your time. They did both. And their quote was easily $10K more than any other company I spoke to. So consider that as well. If I could give a zero, it would be warranted here. Don't bother responding to my review. Since you dropped my project only days before my demolition was scheduled, your feedback is worthless and I'm not interested in anything you have to say.

When US Modular came to my property, they told me it would be an easy project. I felt reassured and very comfortable with US Modular. Well, it was anything but... During the entire project, I felt like I was battling with US Modular. Estimates kept changing along with the original time line. I paid for a low profile granny flat (ADU). Due to the slope of my property, a low profile granny flat (ADU) was not possible. A low profile granny flat (ADU) cost considerable more than a standard granny flat. I never received a credit for the change. I felt like they were constantly asking for more money and I was having to negotiate at every turn. Since we were in the middle of Covid , I felt like I should not complain. I had to pay for extras such as a pump because of complications due to plumbing issues. I was charged $4000 above the original estimate for the cost of the crane. I realized prices were rising, but they should have started my project earlier and should have anticipated some of these issues. They were very careless when it came to restoring my property. Instead of hauling away the bulk of the dirt, they just spread it around my yard. There were a few places they dug up in my yard when trying to solve the plumbing problems. A lot of debris was left and i had to pay to have it hauled. The granny flat (ADU) has a 1 year warranty. Just 6 months past the warranty's expiration and the paneling on the back of the granny flat (ADU) is separating. There are other issues with the inside such as the cabinets falling apart within the first few months. The one nice thing they did was fiance me for $4000 for 4 months. I would never recommend US Modular to anyone. I have made several attempts to contact them and they don't have the courtesy to even return my phone calls
