I called Install It Direct to inquire about turf maintenance. I spoke with Jonathan, the…read moreOperations Manager. He explained to me that they only provide this service to clients that they have provided turf for. He then went on to refer me to two landscape companies near my home where we could purchase the infill and the broom to do the maintenance ourselves. He willingly spent about ten minutes helping me, and was so friendly and nice. When we are ready to have more landscape work done, I will definitely be calling Install It Direct.

I am posting this update as a severe safety warning to anyone considering Installing Direct. Since…read moremy initial review, a catastrophic and life-threatening incident has occurred. The fire pit installed by this company exploded into my girlfriend's face. We had an independent professional company come out to inspect the unit and the gas line. Their findings were shocking: the gas connection was completely loose. This negligence allowed gas to build up inside the fire pit structure, which caused it to explode upon ignition. Because of the physical injuries sustained and the absolute gross negligence regarding a gas installation, we are now taking this company to litigation. If you value the safety of your home and your family, stay far away from this business. A "loose connection" on a gas line is not just a mistake--it is a deadly hazard. We are currently in the process of legal action to hold them accountable for the damage and trauma they have caused. Zero stars. Avoid at all costs.

They stayed in touch with me and then David Walter and his operations management group got us through the County's long permit processing. Jesus Herrera was our job lead, and he is a true professional! He communicated on a daily basis in person or via phone/text. He ensured that the crews stayed on time and did perfect work. It was a joy watching our patio room grow from the ground up, and Jesus made the process run smoothly and communicated extremely well. He deserves a lot of credit!

In 2018, Western Pavers (parent company to Western Outdoor Design and Build) remodeled our…read morebackyard, including pavers, a pool, an outdoor kitchen, and a patio cover, for $180,000. Unfortunately, the subcontractor responsible for the deck and patio cover caused significant rotting issues and leaks, documented through pictures and videos since November 2018. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the leaks, including removing tiles, the subcontractor claimed the problems were due to an unrelated sliding door installation. We first noticed the deck sagging a few years ago, worsening over time. We contacted Western Pavers about this issue in November 2025, and they assessed it in March 2026, reinforcing the patio cover and labeling it a safety hazard. However, over six months later, no action has been taken. Repair estimates for the deck are around $65,000, while litigation costs could exceed $150,000. Even though we have evidence of construction issues within the five-year warranty, we waited until after the warranty expired to contact Western Pavers. Fortunately, California has a ten-year statute of limitations on structural issues, granting us some hope. We now face a tough decision: pay for repairs ourselves or pursue litigation, which may leave us without our outdoor space for years. We urge anyone considering Western Pavers for remodels beyond paver installation to proceed with caution, as they subcontract many aspects and may not inform you adequately. We've been unable to enjoy our backyard for over six months due to safety concerns.
