It was my first visit to Lafayette and we had just eaten there right before the store so it was an awesomely coincidental souvenir. The lady working the checkout counter (I think she was the owner) was super friendly. The roads all around them are under construction so it took us a few tries to get in to the parking lot. I found this shop tucked away in a strip mall on the near south side of Crawfordsville and was delighted. From the moment I stepped in, I noticed the pleasant aroma of candles and the comfortable appeal of country chic decorations and gifts. The main room has the check out counter facing the door in the center of the room, so you can explore to either side: Lots of candle varieties including some made in state, lots of items with clever witticisms to make you think or smile, women's bags, wall hangings, and seasonal (Easter) pieces to add some charm to your home. And when you think you've seen it all, there is another room to the left that has even more items including rugs, lap quilts, and other cloth items. More seasonal items were out in preparation for the weekend sale. The woman who was working apologized for the store being in transition, but it was still neat enough that I wouldn't have known there was anything out of place unless she had told me. She let me browse and asked how I had heard about the shop. I was surprised that nobody had reviewed her store yet on Yelp. When I was ready to make a purchase, she immediately stopped what she was doing so that I didn't have to wait. That's a person who gets customer service. They need to keep in mind the owner controls the facility and the vendors run their own booths. Like any flea market the prices in individuals booths vary wildly, but when I stopped in I found some bargains and some really cool costume jewelry in the main case. People YOU need to know your price points and what you are willing to pay for an item. That is the key to flea market success.

A bit less classy stuff than some other fleas but that's the nature of the flea market, it depends on the booths and who is trying to sell their goods. Prices were alright. We bought a few items. Had an enjoyable time looking around. Location sucks! It is back behind Kroger. I as convinced my GPS was telling me incorrectly as when you pull into the parking lot of the shopping center you don't see it at all. Seriously drive around the lot for a solid amount of time before I found it.

Before its door opened, there was already a line waiting out there. Once we got in, we realized that all the fans and fridges were sold out. We just walked around the store to explore what they had. There was a variety of items, from office supplies to personal items. Some of the items were likely from lost & found, while some looked so brand new. They also had some Purdue spirit wears that might be from previous seasons. We were able to get some Purdue sweatshirts at a very cheap price, and we also got some office supplies such as staplers, staples, and printing paper. Those were all brand new but way much cheaper than we could buy from outside stores. Although we didn't get what we were originally looking for, I would recommend this store if you're looking to buy a good deal. You may also want to come before it opens to make sure that you get what you want before someone might grab it.

I wouldn't have minded paying the same as what I do online on eBay but their desktop offerings were $5-10 more than eBay offerings for same but with hard drives. Thats even after shipping. Still, it's nice to get it on the spot. They did have some i7 that were completely priced wrong. I could find eBay versions for $50-100 less for better versions. Their monitors were $50 for used dated models. It's possible to get newer models for a little more these days and at least you can return them. A budget model these days are better than those older models. Now for non-computing stuff it's kind of great. This is of course if you are into antique lab equipment (I am). Then it's worth a look. The microscope I picked up wasn't a bargain but it was a good price for what I got and was looking for something just like it. The furniture was hit or miss in value. Definitely bring a truck or large vehicle. I have a small car and there was an old mail sorting cabinet I wanted for my workshop. I only went once but I'm sure there are days where the bargains are better.
