We provide House & Pet Sitting, servicing All of Winnipeg and the surrounding area. Our sitters are generally semi-retired or retired individuals that are home owners and pet lovers. Many of our sitters do this to keep busy and to have the pet companionship that they miss. Our sitters are very reliable and responsible. When caring for a house we will ensure that the visits are provided that meet insurance requirements and that the home is secure. When at the home we will vary drapes, lights and blinds to give your home a lived in look. We check refrigerators & freezers, sump pits and in winter run water to ensure that the plumbing is not frozen. Our pet sitters care for all types of pets, including dogs, cats, large and small birds and all of the other many household pets that families may have. Cats normally need a daily visit or twice daily visits if there are dietary or medical reasons. We provide for dogs twice daily visits or live-in services when the owner is away and a dog walking service while the owner is at work or the dog is still a puppy. We generally provide these services while a customer is away on holidays, travelling on business or otherwise away from home.

Established in 1992.

Established in 1992 as a House and Pet sitting company serving Winnipeg only. By 1998 Houseguard was providing services in the surrounding communities, including Oakbank, Dugald, Niverville, Lorrette, La Salle, Headingly, Stoney Mountain, Stonewall, Lockport, East Selkirk and the Birdshill Area. We care for Homes when owners are travelling, dogs, cats, large parrots and cockatiels, the many other pets and creatures kept as pets. We care for all properties.

Tara was well known for travelling a leaving others to care for pets and then taking no responsibility for the problems that would arise. The dog that lost an eye, I was there that night and I can tell you honestly this dog was in a crate with a much larger male dog. The use of shock collars was the norm because Tara didn't want the dogs disturbing her AirBnB guests. Steer clear of this place and use a reputable service.
