I moved in when Bradco owned. Would NOT have moved in if I didn't need a place very quickly. I called to set up a viewing, made a date and time but they didn't tell me which apartment number to go to. When I got there, I called and asked which one to go to and apparently no one was notified that I had a viewing. The owner, Brad Smith, had poor communication skills with his employees. Good thing his office wasn't very far, as I had to wait on him to arrive to show us the apartment. The front building of the apartment looks lovely and wonderful, however my apartment was #20 all the way in the back, and the back lot was completely trashed. The building looked gross and run down and there was glass and trash all over the parking lot. When we went in for the viewing the apartment had a heavy mildew smell. The carpets were nasty and hadn't even been vacuumed, and the banister on the stairs was missing a couple of vertical posts. Brad Smith said that he would get the banister taken care of, didn't say anything about the carpets. We said we'd take it because we were so desperate. The dishwasher in our apartment was heavily stained and beat up, the ceiling above the stove leaks, the stove doesn't cook evenly, and the floors in the kitchen are very worn down. There was still some remaining items in the bathroom from the previous tenants, it's like they didn't even check it out before they posted it for rent. The on-site laundry facility has one working dryer and 2 working washers for 22 apartments, and it is located in a separate building. The door has no lock, the handle was broken, the light bulbs are always stolen from there, and I'm pretty sure the neighbors in the lot next to it are using the facility as well. I would have $200 electric bills from the thin windows, non-properly insulated door wall and front door. I can see outside around my door handle and underneath my door. The air is always running in the summer just to get the place to cool down to 75 degrees and the heat doesn't even work in the winter, we bought space heaters. The banister I previously mentioned fell down and broke our T.V. This review is for the ownership under Bradco, the new owners are actually looking after and remodeling the apartments. I hope they do a much better job than Bradco.
