Sunita is an experienced Ayurveda practitioner with a background in nursing, so if you visit her with a problem diagnosed by an M. D., she can see it from a medical and an Ayurvedic perspective. She has helped me with three different health problems. Before I met with Sunita, I saw more than two different medical specialists for each of my three health problem. Ultimately, the doctors were only managing the problems. At times the health problems would flare up and I would have to see a doctor on an emergency basis. Sunita took care of all three problems. Now I have no pain and have benefitted from learning about Ayurveda in her classes, and applying it in my daily life. My husband has seen her for his prostate problems and his PSA went down for the first time. Houston Ayurveda is a welcoming and peaceful place with a small garden with a fountain and water lilies. I want to begin this review by saying that the therapists at Houston Ayurveda are professional and talented. I am giving this business 1 star based on my experience with Sunita, the Founder and Director. I went to Houston Ayurveda for a purification therapy called Panchakarma. I met with Sunita and we discussed my symptoms, which she said would be 100% remedied by the $1,700 Panchakarma therapy. I guess a guarantee should have been my first clue but I was in so much despair about my health, that I bought her pitch hook, line, and sinker. As the therapy went on, I expressed my concerns to Sunita over not seeing the results she'd promised. She kept telling me to wait until the various phases of the therapy were complete, so I did. In the end, she told me that the therapy wasn't working because I didn't believe it would. Apparently, skepticism was a deal-breaker in terms of the treatment's efficacy. Sadly, this wasn't disclosed in our initial consultation. --If you interested in a facial, massage or cooking class, then great. If you are actually looking for an Ayurveda professional who will honestly and ethically advise and treat your health concerns, go elsewhere. read more

Since 2010, I have been working, as naturally as possible, to deal with my joint and inflammation issues. I have had great success, considering the severity of my initial diagnosis.
