PTA program, is not good at HCC. They don't even help you pass the classes…read more They make it tough to pass the program itself. My daughter struggled the last year. She finish the 2 year program and they told her she didn't make it and that she Would need to retake the program.

From the time I tried to apply to the RN program there have been issues. From informing me late…read morethat the program was unavailable, despite me being upfront on wanting to join the RN program, to applying for and attending the LVN program. No one knew anything, ever, on the steps I had to take to get into the programs; and despite not knowing anything they felt they must inform me of errored information instead of helping me get into contact with someone that did know. If they even decided to answer the phone or emails that is. They are completely uninformative to people who do not know about the medical field. It took multiple emails and many phone calls to find out the steps I needed to take. You need to make sure to file for a background check with IdentiGo through the school. They must do it. Make sure they have sent your information and do not stop calling. And check with the TBON after that they got your correct information. I waited 3 hours on hold (1 hour separately) with TBON just to find out my information was entered wrongly by HCC. Create a Complio account; I was informed that I needed a code to access it only to be told the code is for the drug screening and not the account itself weeks later when I called (not the first or last call I would make that week) confused on why I have not received it. On complio there are certain files provided on how they want the information, so when you go to the doctor make sure the information needed is on there. Once you're in, you still face difficulties with professors, scheduling, and clinical sites. You may or may not get one, your site may be two hours away from your home, or your site may not want to teach you. There are many issues and far as I have seen, they've had these issues for a while and are not working on fixing any of the core problems.

My sister and I was racially profiled when we walked in. The security guard and some Caucasian lady…read morestopped us, questioning our whereabouts, saying we needed badges to enter the facility. The Caucasian lady even accused us of being homeless and said that since the recent death of the doctor that more homeless people flock at the Pizza Hut. We were there to participate in one of the nutrition research studies and I didn't expect to be disrespected. The security guard had to escort us to our designated location and didn't even believe us when we told him who was conducting the study. Utterly disgusting. I was considering this TWU to be on my pre-professional school list, but I guess I'll see about TWU-Dallas instead.

I'm currently in their MBA program. Like anything else, there are hits and misses. To me parking…read moreshould be discounted for students - even though I only go on Saturdays, it still costs me $9 which equates to almost $90 a semester. The graduate classes costs about $1100 a class and range between 3-7 week sessions. During the hotter months, they are hesitant to turn on the air so it gets really hot and vice versa during the colder months. The plus is that there are some great teachers (even though most of them fly down from Dallas) Overall, I have enjoyed the majority of my experiences in the program and would recommend it to others.
