And it was the day before the Seattle FIFA game, so all flights going in that direction were full. Security went fast, and the passport control was zippy. All in all I had a great experience on the flight out. My husband was a little perturbed on the flight back that we had to walk and ride trains a long way to get to the baggage claim. And then it was another 5 min to get back to the UBER pickup spot.

My only knock is due to construction the airport was a little confusing. For instance Zone 5 is actually two separate sections and you can't see each other. Minor nit. Half of baggage claim six was inaccessible from blocked off construction so bags got stuck on the other side... but construction workers helped people. Mine was stuck in a closed AA office because it arrived early so they had it better.

At the gate, I was carrying a CPAP machine (which is a medical device), a carry-on bag, and a very small fanny pack that was approximately 3 x 4 inches. The gate agent rushed me and told me I needed to condense everything immediately. She showed no concern that one of the items I was carrying was a CPAP machine, which is considered a medical device and is generally not counted as a standard carry-on. I was also carrying it for my father, who has severe arthritis and has difficulty carrying his own belongings. While I was being rushed, I told my mother, "How irritating." I was expressing my frustration to my mom--I was not speaking to or directing the comment at the gate agent. Despite that, after I boarded the plane, the gate agent stopped my mother and told her they would remove me from the flight simply because I had said, "How irritating." Which seems kind of taking your rights away. Does southwest not believe in freedom of speech?? Do I have to be careful what I tell my mother or I'm going to get thrown out ?? The interaction felt unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional . Whether this was due to poor training, a power trip, or something else , no passenger should be treated this way, especially when traveling with medical equipment. Southwest, please do better. Train your employees on the policies regarding medical devices such as CPAP machines, and remind them that passengers deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect, even during stressful boarding situations.

While exploring around Brenham, we decided to drive out to it for lunch. It was unique, and had great burgers & shakes, and good, friendly service. We watched a smaller plane taxi up relatively close to the restaurant and a traveling family got off and came in for a burger while their plane was being refueled. After eating, they then boarded and took off. I write this now because we were planning another trip to Brenham, remembered our lunch here, and looked it up on Yelp to find it again; and decided to post our last experience.

Wow. I haven't flown out of IAH terminal A in several years! Much to…read moremy surprise there were some notable changes. In the lower gate A numbers (A1-A15) they now have 2 new eating restaurants. In addition to the Breakfast Klub (southern breakfast/brunch food), they now have Simone Biles Taste of Gold (American, cocktails) & El Tiempo Cantina (Mexican, cocktails). I'm pretty sure they changed out a few of the fast food restaurants but I honestly didn't look at those. They had live music in the center near Breakfast Klub, in the area they call "Symphony in the Air". The live saxophonist & drummer sounded really great. Another change was the exit to baggage claim. It was surprisingly a much longer walk! From the lower A gates you now must walk all the way around toward the higher gates to get to the baggage claim exit. Its about a 5 min walk to get to the baggage exit/escalators. During this walk through the connector hallway of the lower & higher A gates, there is an Art display area called "Houston Airport Artist in Residence (AIR)". The display from local artist is wonderful to see. The enhancements for terminal A are good. Previously, it always felt like one of the more neglected terminals. I know IAH still has a lot of construction underway. I look forward to seeing additional airport improvements.

We had no issues landing and taxiing to the ramp, and fbo was extremely easy. To out surprise, a man came out to chock our plane and assist us in unpacking our aircraft. He was very nice and helpful. On top of that, we were so incredibly surprised to see FRESH BAKED COOKIES awaiting us inside the fbo. Nothing tastes as nice as fresh baked cookies after 6 hours in the air! As I'd this wasn't enough, there were snacks and drinks for pilots who flew in as well. We felt very welcomed, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the man working definitely made us happy we flew into this airport. All of the aircraft tie downs were occupied when we landed, but the next day, we were informed a spot had opened, and they towed and tie-downed our plane for us. From the firefly service to the snacks and clean FBO, our stay here was incredible!

Galaxy FBO can be found here to fuel up and make a pit-stop. The Black Walnut Cafe has a restaurant here so I may be back for breakfast before an airplane ride. We have friends with airplanes parked here and we spent a fun afternoon flying. It didn't seem very busy compared to other executive airports I've been to and it's not far from the Woodlands.

Drive up at the facility, wait till you're given the all clear, get on the plane and fly away. No lines, no aggravation and no arriving 2 hours ahead of time. The location is a bit remote, but it's well marked and easy to find. Be sure to get exact directions to your plane, as there are several charter companies and privately owned facilities. Each one will have their own little waiting areas and you will walk directly to the plane. No jet ways here. Another neat thing is you can oogle planes all you like as you drive in and taxi. There are some beautiful birds sitting out there. All in all, a nice facility.

They also have chargers on every table for your electronics. Vida Taqueria, Cibo Express, BamBam, Sunglass Hut, Jo Malone, Wendy's, Pick Stix, Potbelly and Neapolitan Pizza are all located at Terminal C.

We have lived…read morein the area for five years, and we noticed about two airshows a year being offered at this small airport. So, finally we ventured out and arrived shortly after the 10 am opening. It is best to use the entrance from Barker Cypress (better road); line to pay and park was short. The walking distance to the displays was short and lined with Corvettes. Food and drinks were available. Overall, we had a great experience and will likely attend more future shows.

Airport owner helped me sell it at a cost of 7500, I had to pay 1500 to get it "fixed" before it could be sold. If I didn't, I would have to pay 5000 for inspections next year is what I was told. I was billed for hangar fees even after it was agreed that once I listed it for sale with the airport there would be no hangar fees. All told, I lost about 35k on the whole nightmare of buying that stupid plane. Not their fault, but they sure didn't make getting rid of it any easier.
