Their billing lady works at home like one day a week and takes forever submitting anything to the insurance company. Because of the delays, the insurance company doesn't have an accurate deductible met. They said if I was over charged based on their estimates, I would have to 'call back' to get a refund because they are 'too busy to review everyone's file.' As it turns out, I was overcharged because what they billed me is more than what my EOB says I should have paid. Shelly, the office manager said they don't submit everything to insurance and charged me $40 for a band aid! I've been waiting a week for an itemized bill from Shelly and still haven't received it. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE. It's a joke and a not funny one.

So the day of my appointment, I drove down there from 30 minutes away just to have them call me a half hour before and say they needed to cancel because the doctor was sick. Honestly, if this is the state of healthcare in Texas, we are in serious trouble. Get some competent people for your front desk and check your ego. Your business is supposed to be helping people.

He told me it had to be removed immediately or I'd end up in the hospital with a serious health risk, and gave me no other options. The procedure was coded in a way that insurance denied as cosmetic or comfort care, leaving me with a $400 bill that overdrafted my account. When I reached out for notes or a letter of medical necessity to appeal, I was told the physician no longer works there, transferred to billing, and the billing manager refused to help. She said they wouldn't do anything more, it was an insurance problem, and this was the last communication they'd have on the matter. She became aggressive when I simply explained I was upset about the situation. On top of that, they charged my card for the full amount without any prior notice after the denial, which came as a complete shock. The doctor was also negligent in dressing the wound, the gauze stuck to the nail bed, I had to return two days later, and he ripped it off dry, causing extreme pain and re-traumatizing the area. The nail is now not growing back properly. Patients deserve better than being left financially harmed and physically worse off with zero cooperation on fixing a preventable insurance issue. I wouldn't recommend this practice.

Rather than going straight to orthotics, the doctor had me try inserts, sticking with lace up shoes, and it worked! The doctor took her time and was both prompt and thorough. She answered all my question and confirmed that lower cost orthotics might be an acceptable (not as durable) next step, if the boot was not effective. I was very appreciative of the honesty in dealing with my condition. Not jumping into professional orthotics saved me thousands and made me a happy patient for life. Highly recommend the Neville clinic for anyone that suffers with foot, ankle, and even for back and knee pain. If the feet are not happy, everything just seems to move up to the knees and back. May 14 Mayla called and advised me that my insurance has not paid I need to pay them out of pocket. This is the first I heard of them not being paid. Each visit I was told I owe nothing. She asked me to call my insurance company to try to get it resolved. I said I would and to not charge my card until we got this resolved. We continued to work on getting this resolved, kept in contact by phone and email. Last correspondence was June 4th and I explained the insurance said it could be about 4 weeks. Today, without a call, email or any bills they deducted $2,000 from my bank account! This is robbery. I had less than 30 days to get it resolved! They knew about it since January! Ridiculous!
