To call these people amateurish is a compliment. I originally contacted Diego, the owner through an…read moread for tile floor refinishing. He gave a competetive quote and promptly sent a guy to refinish about 900 sq ft of terrazzo. The finished job was spotty and left a milky residue throughout which was all but impossible to remove. We (mostly my wife) tried for many hours to scrub it away with vinagre as suggested, but made little progress. Diego apologised profusely for having sent a guy with no experience to do the job, but that he would make it right. He did send someone out who made an honest effort to fix the mess, but they never did get it quite right. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I called back 2 years later to see if they could tile our bathrooms as Diego had mentioned that tiling was their specialty. In a word, the job was awful. Some parts were crooked and misaligned, tiles were overlapped incorrectly in the showers, excess grout was not cleaned off, etc. it was as if he had grabbed a couple of day laborors off the street who told him thay could lay tile and off they went to my house. Not only that, but after giving a quote and having his son come out to measure and verify, we were told, halfway through the job that the price had gone from $4200 to $5750. By the time we finished, he presented a bill for over $8000 to my general contractor who was handling our other work for payment WITHOUT mentioning that I had given a $2500 deposit before the work began. I wound up paying him only around $5750 and he did send a couple of guys around to fix a couple of the screw-ups, but I still had to pay another crew to undo and redo much of the detail work. Do not be tempted to go for a low quote from these people; you will be sorely disappointed.

As, you can imagine on a regular day our house is a mess. I hired Mom's cleaning (Nora) to come do a deep clean of our house... and I was very impressed! Nora, was on her hands and knees scrubbing everything from the bathtubs, to the inside of the oven, the microwave, the stove top. She brought all of her supplies with her... which made it super easy, and stayed for a total of 5 hours. Didn't leave the house till it was spotless. I will be using her again (this week, to be exact). :) Honestly, I feel so it ease now that I can rest on my day off instead of worrying about mopping, sweeping, and scrubbing.

On top of not being very responsive, they were also unreliable. The power had been shut off for almost an hour, so we asked to simply sweep the floors and clean the bathrooms and the kitchen. Fairly simple tasks. However, nothing was done and we were charged full price for the "service". We were also told the alarm was going off, which is surprising considering we didn't have power. Very disappointed with the service and would strongly encourage anyone considering this service to strongly reconsider.

In addition, due to Chinese New Year, I needed the house cleaned the next day, which they worked out a time slot to do for me (Christopher responded within 1/2 hour and right after I was about to sign with another company). The women made every effort to make sure the areas I needed cleaning were scrubbed and wiped of dust, dirt, and grime. They wiped the window blinds, the exterior of cabinets, refrigerator and oven, and they mopped the floors and corners clean. Blanca checked with me to make sure I was satisfied or if I had more concerns (after they cleaned each area) = total of 2 hours. There was a spot they did not dust or mop upstairs, but I let it go because they wiped and cleaned other areas I did not ask for. The only question I have is "Where is my swifter?" because it disappeared from the restroom. Also, I would prefer they empty dirty water from the living room floor into the toilet and not my kitchen sink and they should not refill their bucket to wipe the floor by use of the kitchen sink. There is a faucet and hose outside the front door to refill their bucket and a grate on the street to empty out dirty water, so using my kitchen sink was not appreciated. The reason the review has 5 stars is because Christopher acquiesced my request and charged me days after my Lunar New Year, which I'm truly grateful for, and he gave me a discount as a first time client. That's great business ethics for you!
