We are about to complete a major remodel on a home we recently purchased, and needed a master carpenter for a difficult molding addition throughout the first floor. I already had the other subcontractors working and in place on the balance of the house. My wife did the research & found Kevin Wood & his company, Houston Renovators. Since we had extensively remodeled several houses over the past 40 years, we knew what we wanted & are very particular with the people we engage.
The initial meeting with Kevin was quite detailed, & he had several meaningful suggestions for accomplishing our goals. After getting back to us with additional details, we decided to engage his company. While he personally performed none of the work, he was hands on from day 1 through the end. Changes in the scope of the work became necessary due to the nature of the existing molding in our house. His team completed the work to our satisfaction in a timely manner and for the agreed upon price. Upon completion, he sent a separate cleanup crew to mop, dust, sweep and clean the first floor, something I had never experienced from prior renovations. Although he is not inexpensive, I would highly recommend and use Kevin & his crew again. He is a man of his word. read more
