I never really went shopping here because, while it has a fair number of shops, it never really has anything that you want or need. Guess that could be just me. The cinema is where I spent most of my days, chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool and watching some films after school. The cinema is average price with student discount and with your standard of sugary rubbish to enjoy while watching a film. The cinema screens themselves are good, the Digital screen is awesome, but the chairs and leg room leave something to be desired. It can get quite uncomfortable if you're a tall and are in a packed screening, but this rarely happens here, which is a other bonus. All in all a good place to while a way a fair number of hours with friends or that special someone.

Although it looks huge it takes hardly any time to go around and has nothing to recommend it in the way of differnt shops. They are the same as any high street. A large open area in the centre was laid out as a furniture vendoes. The stuff was ugly..even tasteless..and overpriced. Quite a few restaurants..untried but mostly the usual chains. The only saving grace, for me, was a pleasant cinema complex where we went to see Stardust. So much anticipation..such a disappointment.

I think i must have been invisable as i waited until the salesman had served another customer but he just ignored me and went on to serve a couple that had just entered the department.He then called for help but unfortunately nobody came. i finally walked out. What a waste of my afternoon.No wonder their sales are dropping. I had travelled about 12 miles there to order a fridge freezer as my own has packed up and i needed to order one straight away. I went to the store at he weekend to buy some things for my new home - bins, pillows, cutlery storage, towels... and I am happy to say they had virtually everything on the list (although some was on the pricey side and I bought elsewhere). It wasn't easy to find everything - the kitchen department is a bit haphazard, but if you hunt you'll eventually find what you're after. The main problem with the store in Welwyn Garden City is the building. There are three floors and it's a maze. Different areas are in separate small rooms so it's very difficult to find what you're looking for. I feel like a floor plan or more signs would be really helpful because it would be very easy to get lost. The website suggests there's store parking (for a fee), but even if you can't find that there are many options nearby.

For this merry store has it all. Homeward section is enormous and boasts almost anything you could wish to find. Hatfield branch Paying by cash is getting more and more…read moredifficult at Tesco, Hatfield. You can either pay cash at the check out counter or in the self checkout basket section which might be 3, 4 or 5 tiles. This changes all the time - apparently the tiles have 'problems' according to one of the staff. Customers are being asked to use the self scan service which works well if you pay by card. If you pay cash then you must queue - WHY. The customer is already doing everything and gets penalised because they pay cash. TESCO wake up to the real world, not everyone has a card !!!!!

I LOVE this store. I could have literally spent hours in…read morehere. Their Health and Beauty sections are both enormous and full of cheap goodies! Perfect for basic things like shampoo and conditioner, they do some of the more expensive brands for much less than it's competitors (Boots/Superdrug- I picked up some John Frieda conditioner for 5 quid less than the same product at Boots) It's truly a jungle of inexpensive goodies and i'd definitely recommend going here for gifts- they have bath and beauty sets on offer and lots of perfume that looks far more expensive than it is. The staff were really helpful and friendly and had a really human quality about them- YES we actually had a real conversation (maybe a normal thing outside of London but still took me off guard). Our cashier was mega-efficient and really knew about the products he was selling as well as their place in the store. A cheap lovely version of Heaven for bargain-hunters!

I have mixed feelings about this M&S. Overall it is a good store, quite small but does stock a good…read morerange of womens clothing. The mens section and the childrens section is limited though. Upsairs there is the food hall which being M&S is great quality as you would expect, there are plenty of tills so queuing isn't usually a problem. However, do not try to eat anything purchased in store in the cafe, even if you are buying meals or sandwiches in there. I tried to give my daughter a bottle of juice which was bought in store in the cafe with our meals and was met with a very hostile table cleaner who told me I was breaking the law. All a bit extreme I thought.

However, the childrens section is very good, with lots of designer outfits for babies and toddlers. The best find is grobags for half price or less. They sell lots of nursery bits and pieces. The toy section is good with a broad range at low prices. Its good for birthday gifts. The homewares section is fabulous, there isn't nothing they don't have. During seasonal times, they carry a range of decorations that are of a good quality. Especially nice are the Halloween decorations.

There are loads of fitting rooms though so you will never be waiting to try something on!
