I had a good experience. The staff were great. I was greeted as soon as I entered, despite the fact that the facility was very busy. The application process was "long" but very clear. I was able to visit the dog in which I had an interest with no delay. Although I did not have the fortune to adopt that dog, the process was very straight forward and simple. I love the fact that the adoption process is "first come first serve". Masks are required. There is a decent amount of free parking The location is a bit tucked away, but not hidden

I gave up my two cats for adoption a month ago, which Leah I believe her name is, lied and said they been adopted. I had to give up my pets due to my apartment complex does not accept pets so I thought. I simply just asked if I can adopt them back. This was the response they gave me. If you planning on adopting a pet or turning them in, this is how they handle previous owners

We adopted Westley, it was a battle trying to do so because the shelter was against us adopting him as he had already been returned. It was understandable to try and protect the cat. (The previous owner claimed he was hyper, aggressive, hated being held, and would randomly attack them and the other cat they adopted with him) The shelter supervisor told us he would be euthanized if we were to return him. I've had cats my whole life and recently just lost my little buddy a couple weeks ago. I assured them any negative behavior he exhibited would be corrected through training. This cat chose me (he literally stuck his paws through the cage and hugged me as I walked past) and I was determined to become his forever home. We were advised against bringing him to a home with young kid. Needless to say the previous owners assessment couldn't be further from the truth. This little guy is an absolute sweetheart, he gives us kisses, purrs constantly and absolutely adores our kids. He is warming up to our toy Australian Shepherd and they look like they will become lifelong friends. Thank you for allowing us to bring him home and become a part of the family. His new name is Loki!

THAT'S WHAT TO EXPECT WITH DR SPIGA AT SMALL MIRACLES SURGICAL CENTER! I was a Veterinary Technician for 25 years and was blessed to have worked next to many wonderful Veterinarians. Dr Spiga is NOT a wonderful Veterinarian. Dr Spiga is the most unprofessional and uncompassionate Veterinarian I've ever met in my life. I undersand that the surgical procedure my dog had has a risk of failure and I understand that Small Miracles Surgical Center is low cost/high volume facility. But basic surgical protocol is NOT followed at Small Miracles surgical center. All they need to do is place a catheter in each animal for surgery so that they have quick access to a vein in case the animal starts to crash during the anesthetic procedure. Catheter placement takes less than a minute typically. This also provides a way to administer IV fluids during the anesthetic procedure. I took my dog to Small Miracles for a cherry eye (prolapsed tear gland) to be repaired by Dr Spiga and the surgery failed in less than 6 hours post op. My dog was IN PAIN and extremely restless since the sutures in his tear gland/eyeball were ripping and tearing through his tissue all night until they finally ripped through his tear gland. OUCH! My Veterinarians...all 4 of them... realized that Dr Spiga had used the wrong suture material! When you work near the eye the sutures are supposed to be soft. She used the incorrect suture for a tear gland! My Veterinarians were horrified when they checked him after his surgery. They found infection in his eye, severe swelling and they found that Small Miracles used the absolute wrong suture material for a tear gland repair! The suture material that Dr Spiga used scratches the cornea, could have punctured his eyeball and ultimately creates larger problems and is painful for the dog. And the fact that there was not even a catheter placed just really upset me and my Veterinarians because they know that basic surgical protocol involves placing a catheter in every animal for safety. I got extremely lucky that the improper suture material did not cause permanent damage to my dog's cornea. I have spent nearly $700 so far trying to repair the neglectful work of Dr Spiga. Plus my dog came back immediately with an infection which probably means that their surgical tools/surgical field are not sterilized properly. My Veterinarians do not perform cherry eye surgery and that's the only reason I went to Small Miracles. I went there seeking a consultation but they don't offer consultations! They'll do a quick, subpar surgery on your animal but they won't talk to you about it first! They expect you to drop your animal off like an assembly line with no communication, (limited text messaging at best) no telephone in the office, no way to follow up, no expertise, no compassion and no empathy for the problems they create in your animal. My advice is to never take a living being for surgery at Small Miracles Surgical center. I have supported their rescue since they open their doors many years ago. I was excited when I heard they opened up a surgical facility to offer an option for lower cost surgeries for rescued animals. But after my experience with Dr Spiga and the facility and the way they handled me, my dog and my complaint... I will tell everyone I encounter who has an animal about my experience at Small Miracles. Word of mouth is the best advertisement and I will be spreading the word of my experience. Loudly.

I am 100% sure they kidnapped my cat from my community and hostage her for donation and selling as a business rather than a non profit organization. Pure intention matters! I have donated to multiple organizations monthly base, raising fund for good purpose, money is not a problem for me. However, I don't want to reward bad behaviors. The missing time for my cat and the one they posted online matches and the very detailed stripes pattern matches. It's questionable that one employee said she from North Carolina, another one said she from West Virginia. I have my cat since she was born, I can recognize this cat from eye contact. Well, if you know your children, you know them by the spirit, right? I sent them many details to JUST take a look, they refused. It's not built to help ppl or animals at all. I will show how my cat look like and how sick she is now in their foster home. I'm deeply saddened and worried about her. She is territorial as a cat does. She has been a happy cat in her own home, wtf they think this is a rescue. Now I have to either kiss their ass or be assertive to fight against this negativity just to get her rescued from these horrible ppl. F that! If they don't practice as ethical as it should be, this is a big big issue! I put the photos of how my cat looked before and how she looks now in their foster homes(one with name caption) I am seriously furious and frustrated about this. If they couldn't give me an explanation why they made it so difficult to meet the cat. I have to say I will use my popularity and influence to the extreme to make things right!!!

I was in need of dry food for my cat and every single place I had stopped was completely out of it. I thought that maybe PetSmart would be the place that would actually have this. Walked in and navigated to the cat section. Checked the shelf, and it was a negative. I even scoped out the top shelves to makes sure it just wasn't pulled forward. Even though they did not have the exact item, I did grab a bag and head towards the registers. Why in the world was the worst part about this store? Like they planned for it to be a total breakdown area. I got to the register and there was only one open. I was third in line and more were coming behind me. The hold up was a customer had an item that just happened to not be scanning and was the last one in the store. Instead of seeing that a line was forming of people and opening another register, both the cashier and another employee went off to search for a solution. Finally, another employee came to their senses and noticed that we were all just standing around. Another register opened and the line started to go down. By the time I had gone through the register they still hadn't got through that customer with the unscanable item.
