Friday afternoon almost noon. I called and was told to come in at 1:30 pm. I arrived about 12:10 pm because I had no where else to go. I only sat there for about 10-15 minutes. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing and is the reason for my low rating. I was moving out of state and specifically scheduled a Saturday cleaning appointment before my move because I knew I would be losing my dental insurance and would not have coverage in my new state right away. I received an email prompting me to check in online, which I completed. When I arrived for my appointment, the front desk employee with short black hair informed me that my appointment had been canceled because they had called the day before and I did not return the call to confirm. I was never told that failing to return a confirmation call would result in my appointment being canceled, especially after I had already checked in online. I was told there was no one available to see me and no effort was made to accommodate me. After being a patient for two years, I found this incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I've never encountered a policy like this at any dental office. What made it especially upsetting was the timing. I was in the middle of relocating out of state, and missing this appointment meant I was unable to get my teeth cleaned before losing my dental coverage. It created unnecessary stress during an already hectic move. Toby deserves five stars, but the way this situation was handled by the front desk left a very negative impression.
