Heather is an amazing hygienist....the guy hygienist is rough and doesn't really care. Dr. Stanton preys on people who trust him. He preys on human ignorance when it comes to somebody's teeth. I paid for a crown and I got a "half crown" that has been troublesome ever since I got it, Stanton didn't care. I also ended up paying full price because they said it wasn't covered by my dental insurance only to find out, too late, that it was. My ignorance played into Stanton's greed. My dentist today asked me if I requested a half crown, I said no. She was kind of dumbfounded. I pointed out that I have a cracked tooth and she laughed and asked if that is what I was told by Stanton then she said "there is no cracked tooth". Again, Stanton counting on my ignorance. Going to Stanton please make sure you have a back-up dentist to confirm his diagnosis' and costs. Stanton plays into ignorance and fear and does it quite well and so does his staff, though, I am not sure they have a choice. As for the person who is constantly defending Stanton's practice you have to, you are invested. Stanton's arrogance and his talent for scamming people and your rudeness, there has got to be a fall heading your way, look out!!! read more

Extraordinarily rude & abrasive behavior, dismissive and unprofessional to the upmost extent. Being around Robert is like being around a child with a title, when they're told they're wrong or they don't have the knowledge the lash out. He should be held responsible for treating patients this way. He's clearly going through some personal problems but that has nothing to do with others, especially in the tiny filth he works in. Bad infrastructure and a clearly underpaid staff is struggling to deal with his mental illness. He smack grabbed the monitor with his hand when attempting to explain things right in front of me and was making aggressive gestures along with dirty petty mannerisms as I was trying to explain something he miss understood about how I was feeling. After this I left and asked the front desk to remove me from their systems. Wasted my time just trying to get an evaluation so that I can get treatment. He has absolutely no people skills in my opinion. I had an accident that did some damage to my front teeth. He treated me and I asked him if i am ok? I've been going to Stanton Smiles for 9 years now. This is by far the best dentist office I've ever been to. They did my Invisalign and I go 3x/year for cleanings/checkups. The receptionists are wonderful. I love seeing the same staff every time I go, they go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The hygienists are amazinggg... the Dr is awesome. This is the most efficient, modern medical office I've EVER been to. No filling out stacks of papers on a clipboard, and in 9 years I have NEVER waited more than 5 minutes to be seen. I walk in and sit down and are almost immediately seen, they always run on time. My appointments are always in the morning before work so I appreciate this tremendously. My mother went here for dental work in 2021. She got 16 veneers from Dr Stanton. She called post veneers to say her alignment was off and instead of calling her back like the receptionist said, she was sent a letter saying she should find another dentist. This is after she paid him almost 30k!!! Here is where the real problems start- she now has had to get 6 root canals on these teeth- teeth that were perfectly healthy before Dr Stanton touched them. He shaved into the Dentin which basically caused the teeth to have so much trauma the root died and had to be removed. This is a nightmare and this dentist should not be allowed to practice. I have heard great things about this dental office and inquired more about them as my father needed some treatment. You see...he has been going to the same dentist in North Miami for at least 15 years, and upon hearing that he needed a root canal didn't sit well with me; how does a dentist who's had my father as a patient this long give him this news? I told him he needed to find someone different and so I started looking. We went to a local dentist off Lincoln Road and they gave him 2 options; one as a root canal and another as removing the tooth and giving him an implant. Looking for a reputable dentist brought me here to this office. Upon my arrival, we were greeted by a friendly receptionist and signed a few forms for their privacy act etc. We only waited around 5 minutes or so before being brought into an office where my father was given some digital x-rays to see the current health of his teeth and soon after we met the dentist who gave us the good and the bad. He also gave us the same 2 options, but offered an additional one which was actually cheaper than what the other two offices had as options. Besides it being less expensive, it was the right amount of work that needed to be done and if it wasn't for this dentist's knowledge and skill level, there's no way it would have been suggested. My father will be doing this work in the coming weeks and we're looking forward to and grateful for the services that will be provided. read more

I have been coming here for seven plus years. Dr. Stanton's dental hygienists do a great job with cleanings. I have had to have periodontal cleanings over the years and get them done here. No need to go to a periodontist. I also have had a crown put on here and had no issues since it was put on. The office is very good about sending reminders and calling. They also are great with finding me a new appointment when I've had to cancel mine. read more

I bought a Groupon for zoom teeth whitening. I met with the dentist pre-covid and she examined my teeth to see if there would be anything preventing me from whitening. I received the go ahead and was told to purchase a flouride toothpaste (they have this in office). This toothpaste would help my teeth from the sensitivity the whitening would cause. Fast forward a couple months, and I finally completed my whitening. The toothpaste helped a lot. I did experience some sensitivity and overall had to stop the sessions early (I can tolerate pain but not when it comes to my mouth). There were 3 sessions, 15 minutes each. During the session, I comfortable and watching tv. If I had to call the dentist in for any reason she gave me the staples "no" button (which I used twice and she came running in). It was quite funny. I would highly recommend this facility for teeth whitening. She was thorough and explained what she was doing while she was doing which was nice. She also answered any questions I had thoroughly. My teeth show a subtle difference because they were not really yellow to begin with. The whitening works best for those who have yellower teeth. Overall, highly recommend. read more

I'm very very unhappy with my services regarding my upper partial. In the beginning the process went well. Once I got the first set they did not fit properly in my mouth. I went back 3x in one week to have them adjusted an I still was not happy with one side fitted better than other. Dr. Stanton decided to retake impression and started over again. It going on a 3weeks and I still have not receive the new ones. I got a called stated they will be ready on 6/28 or 6/29. Since no one call me to let me know anything. I took it upon myself to call office just to hear. He haven't started on them it. What I'm having a major issue with is. Why did the office call me to say the will be ready? This was one of the worse dental experiences I've ever had. I was treated very arrogantly and uncared for. I got a crown put in. The procedure was hurting me, I was told to stay still and that they WERE NOT giving me more numbing! Very abruptly and rudely! After the procedure, I couldn't even bite or chew on that side but I did not want to go back there. Six months later, I found another dentist and couldn't be happier. Stanton did a por job with a crown, for it does not fit properly. He has the worst besides manner I have ever experience by a dentist. I asked him to adjunto a dental haurd, that was uncomfortable. This is unbelievable! I wrote a critical review 10 years ago (2012) and just today I received an email alert from Yelp that Dr. Rob S posted a response to my 2012 review. He posted the following boilerplate statement that is now appearing on many of his negative reviews: "Unsolicited reviews skew Yelp's star ratings in favor of negative reviews over positive reviews, as the Northwestern University study found. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. This dentist said I needed three crowns (as a preventative method- right). The COST WAS OVER $6,000. Within SIX MONTHS, TWO FELL OFF. Their comment was based on x-rays, their expertise, and the fact that I take excellent care of my teeth (their words, not mine). Of course I understand that you claim no fault. After all, admitting fault would fall below the standard of care and would open yourselves up for further criticism and even lawsuits. Yes. I went to Stanton because he participates in my dental plan. I know I have at least 1 mobile tooth from a cavity caused by dry mouth. X-rays were taken. He showed me the x-rays which included a tooth with an exposed ball of wires. He explained that was where my crown fell off. I needed a cleaning & a crown replacement at a cost of $7,430.00, with $3,576.00 to be paid by me. I knew this wasn't descriptive of my dental situation; I didn't have a missing crown or a ball of wire protruding from any tooth; I've never paid a participating provider more than $300.00; & he refused to request a "Pre-Determination of Benefits" from my insurance company. This dr is professional the office is adorable and clean he has all of the equipment to make my veneers there! I used to have to wait weeks with temporarys on and dr Stanton does it right there!! My sister had an emergency and on a Sunday dr Stanton came and saw her,, the hygienist is gentle and top class. I've been to Stanton 4 times now. All visits have been well worthed and I have written outstanding review on google Today I just wanted to see Dr Stanton because I have been under much stress additional to covid 19 prevention. I suffer from stomach hernia and am waiting for liver biopsy tests from my GI. Doctor. Upon explaining all this I just needed to explain I noticed my bite was off and 2 front teeth looks like shifting. Ive been keeping a very good hygiene routine for over 30 years and have all my original teeth. During my conversation I became uneasy as Dr Stanton wasn't giving me any transparent info on how to adjust, fix or remedy my new somewhat crooked smile since not noticed a few months ago at office. I also added that I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and read theres some relationship with how it affects teeth and mouth left untreated. He seemed adament that I was directing the conversation and appeared uncomfortable. After about 15 mins I decided he wasn't offering anything productive. I complimented him several times and apologized on my anxious curiosity. We both decided he could not help. As I was checking out vicki who I adore decided to dismiss me as she said she overheard my conversation which was inappropriate. She no longer wished to speak to me. Ana attempted to help qualify me for a deep cleaning procedure but said Im not covered by my very extensive Insurance program. I felt I wasnt welcomed there any longer because they took my conversation with Dr Stanton personally and was dismissing me from the practice. I love Dr. Stanton, but the male hygienist is the worst. I used to always come here for my cleanings. Dr. Stanton did one of my fillings and was awesome. They used to have a great hygienist (Echarra I believe) but she left about a year ago. I. Her place is a young male that talks down to you and has to be the roughest person I've ever had clean my teeth. Horrible. I even told the desk to mark my account and never book me with him again, but they ignored my request and put me with this guy on the next visit. Unfortunately, I had to stop going to this office because of that. I don't enjoy being scolded and talked to like I'm 5, and have to take aspirin for two days due to the rough cleaning. I'm now 38, but I've struggled with my teeth since childhood, and I've carried insecurity with me throughout my life. To add more insult to injury, I've also had to deal with not just a lot of painful, expensive dental work, but also poor quality and service, so I was one of those who avoided dentists altogether until I had an emergency, up until I found this place about a year ago. I cannot overstate how much Dr. Stanton's work on my teeth has changed my life in the past 15 months. He first changed a crown, then removed a tooth to make space for invisalign, which lasted 12 months. I have as much esteem for my hygienist Marcos, whom I visit regularly, and Jessica, who assisted me with my invisalign follow ups. Dr. Stanton AND his office team are the best of the best. I come from Boston and have always had outstanding dentists. My friends were dentists so i got the best recommendations, and when i say Dr. Stanton is the best I have a lot of detailed reasons why. The office is friendly and extremely efficient and unlike any other medical offices, they are helpful and accommodating. Dr. Stanton knows what he's doing and does it, and does it fast, is straightforward and if he has any questions, he will tell you to wait. He's good, he's honest and importantly he's available. If you ever need to reach him because you were delaying an unpleasant task, he replies and he's fast. His office does the work, a machine measures the crown, his in house lab makes the crown and out the door you go. He takes my medical insurance. He doesn't pad the bill and make up all these extras that you don't need, like many dentists in F. L do....(I wrote a review, look up Bay View Dental) His hygienists do a great job. I've recommended him many times, and two of my friends go to him and one won't stop raving about how great he is for all the reasons I've listed.
