For starters she lost my earnest money and told me I DID after the day I drove to the office I dropped it off at the day before she found it in the trash can at the front desk AFTER I called the bank and told them they gave me the wrong paperwork. Then she only wants to reach out when she has questions, not answer yours. She also told me that I was not to pay for the inspections after I paid for my home inspections. That part of my agreement was for them to pay that so we waited until after my close date for the sellers to pay for it. Now I'm being stuck with the bill and I'm just going ahead and eating the cost after her not wanting to really do much about it. The cherry on top was the lockbox with the combination she failed to remove and a third party came by without my consent and took it off and she had the nerve to blow me up about it. Even if she offered me a free house I'd rather pay a toddler with paper money versus ever dealing with her again, at least they'll be honest with me and talk to me with respect. 0 outta 10

I'm confident that Laurie's #1 goal truly is the satisfaction of her clients. She will not try to sell you on the first house you see so that she can make a quick transaction and closing. With her great amount of experience in showing houses, she made many observations about some of the properties we looked at that we did not notice at first. Her observations often actually steered us AWAY from those particular homes in search of something more ideal. I cannot express enough how appreciative I am of a realtor who will give her honest opinion on a matter instead of put her own interests first. After we found our ideal home and began the complicated closing process, Laurie really came through and showed her value. She handled all of the fine details, such as arranging inspections per my request and communicating with the seller through the seller's agent regarding inspection results. The MOST impressive aspect of working with Laurie was certainly her tenacity to improve the deal for her customer. For example, there was one inspection result (leaky window seals) that I didn't feel confident in asking the seller to repair. However, with Laurie's insistence on the matter, I eventually decided to ask the seller to repair the defect and replace some window panes. At first, the seller initially refused to make any repairs at all, and said that I could back out of the closing altogether if this was unacceptable. But Laurie would not allow that to stand. With my approval and her insistence, Laurie managed to convince the seller to pay half of the costs to repair the windows. That saved me several hundreds of dollars! Laurie truly will go above and beyond the call of duty in order to ensure that her customers get the best deal possible, with no hidden surprises! Honestly, our experience has been very pleasant! The management team has been VERY helpful and timely when a work order was submitted. The house we moved into was vacant for 5 months, and soon after we moved in we noticed a mouse problem. We were naturally very nervous and hoped HomeWorks would resolve the issue as it was preexisting. My husband and I personally purchased about $70 worth of pest control, and after submitting receipts to management they credited our rent for the following month. They were very reasonable, understanding, and helpful throughout the whole process. The only frustration I had was that the house was grimy/dirty/filthy when we moved in. The company does a "commercial cleaning", however the floors were filthy, and there were COPIOUS amounts of dog hair throughout the house. When I mopped the basement the bucket had thick mud at the bottom, even after 4 times mopping. I had to clean for a week straight-- scrubbing banisters, sweeping, and mopping multiple times before we felt comfortable unpacking. As a whole, HomeWorks is a decent place to lease from. If you read an especially terrible review, keep in mind that 9/10 times it's bitter tenants airing out their dirty laundry, for reasons that were likely their own fault in the first place. HomeWorks management are NOT slumlords.

Note: please check for rats roaches and other animals before moving in. management is horrible and don't even ask for maintenance because it doesn't exist. You'll basically be taking over ownership of the home while your there. Nasty carpets, bathroom falling apart 2 mos after I moved in not to mention none of the vents were cleaned before I moved in which I was told they would be. Most of the people in that office lie and pass you on to another person to lie to you again until you say F** it I'm out and had to pay to break your lease. CPM has been managing my…read more4 unit apartment for a few years now and back in December 2022, just before the holidays, a pipe burst in the kitchen of one of my units while the tenant was on vacation. As soon as Jackie was alerted about the situation, her team sprang into action, was able to shut off the water to the unit, took pictures and assessed the damage, notified the tenant and me, and even helped with the clean up. There was significant damage to the kitchen and bathroom which needed to be replaced which was no small task. Several months later, Jackie and her team were still working hard on my unit, working with the insurance adjuster and making sure that restoration company that the insurance company had recommended did the repairs accurately and on-time and holding them accountable when they didn't do something correctly. Jackie is dependable, reliable, tough, a no nonsense type of PM who knows her market and the industry. As an out of state investor, it's important that you can rely on your PM to take care of your properties as if it was their own, and Jackie and her team at CPM is that PM who I would highly recommend.

I was told, in messages from the company, that this is simply their policy. Sadly, I feel they addressed the request improperly. They are very hard to communicate with, especially if you work with Abbie. There was even a lawyer involved and Abbie told the lawyer to go back to school and that she doesn't know what she's talking about. For someone in a professional position (Abbie) it was a choice of words to an established lawyer. Abbie must be very unhappy with her job, she needs to find another profession. She's also very laissez-faire attitude. If your realtor or mortgage agent wants to use Meridian title, I'd have them pick a different title company. Not recommending this one.
