Very professional company, but I can only give a three star review as Patrick G. ran figured my income and came up with a 45% debt ratio, the lender they gave the loan to, Deephaven ended up with a 53% debt ratio, so I had to go from a Conventional to a DSCR with a crappy rate. Like I said he tried hard to get it approved conventional, but did not come through with it. read more

If you would have asked me to review Ruoff while they still owned my mortgage I would have given rave reviews. But asking me now is a different scenario. I know that it is standard practice to sell mortgages, that being said I put my trust in Ruoff to vet the company they would sell my mortgage to. Clearly they didn't do that, or they don't care. My mortgage was sold to Roundpoint Mortgage servicer, not accredited with the BBB, has multiple open court cases (where they are defendants) in my state alone and any quick google search will show they have a problem with paying peoples taxes/insurance out of escrow. So I ask you to do your homework before buying into their "98.8% Customer Service rating", because surely they were rated prior to carelessly selling people's mortgages. Thanks Ruoff read more

Amy Helman is absolutely amazing! I have recommended her to my entire family and many friends. With all of us, she has taken an individual approach to home buying or refinancing. I would recommend Ruoff but I would not recommend Jennnifer Schmitt. Jennifer is very unprofessional, very rude and tries to do the job of a Real Estate Agent and Lender. If I had to do this all over again I would of asked to have a different Loan Officer at the very beginning. She made the first time home buying process an actual nightmare. If you want a smooth process where your loan officer doesn't call you crying, I suggest you find a different Loan Officer. read more

We entrusted our mortgage loan to Ruoff Mortgage. Agents dragged their feet while at the same time assuring us that things were moving. They kept promising us closing dates, then would "find" other documents needed. Now at 60 days and still no closing, they have decided "they just can't help us". Thankfully the sellers are patient to wait on us as we have to start all over with a new application, appraisal, providing multiple documents and will probably take another 30-60 days, all while having things boxed up in anticipation of moving and giving notice to landlord and may have to now move twice! I would never recommend for anyone to do business with Ruoff. read more

We LOVE Ruoff! Our mortgage loan officer, Jan Edwards, was AMAZING! We had an unusual situation where the closing of our Ohio home was delayed by over a month, but somehow Jan was able to get an extension on our locked-in interest rate TWICE for our new South Bend home!!! Not only that, but when I didn't have a computer or printer to use (because we were in between homes) Jan printed off the necessary papers so that I could come in and sign them to send back to Ohio. She went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy a home! read more
