I have never done anything on Yelp before, but after my recent experience with my salesperson at Rand Realty in New City I felt obligated to. The worst customer service, and terrible communication through out the whole sales process. The KICKER was when it was all over, and this same salesperson came to the closing ( at the end of the closing she wasn't there at all during the closing ), but came to pick up her commission check she never said Thank You! The worst realtor experience . Jayne Morelock is the listing agent for a property I was interested to purchase . I texed her . call her several times . she finally respond and told me to drive by the property to see if I like it as it is difficult for her to walk . I drove by the property contacted her by text as she font answers her phone or return calls . I told her I went by the property and i liked it but I have some questions I would love to ask her she read the text I have not responded up to this day . my argument is if you can't sell the property give it to a realtor whom is communicates with potential buyers and is competent enough to sell the property , no wonder the property is up for sale over 6 months now snd cannot be sold .Realtors like these should be reported to the NY state department of state . read more

STAY AWAY from these people. THE WORST! All great in the beginning when the agent Jose Gonzales wanted the listing. I was selling my home in Jersey and relocated to Florida, left him in charge as the selling agent. As a single woman on her own, they for SURE did not help one bit with the stress factor. VERY long story short...he didn't show up for inspections and after multiple setbacks he ghosted me, I never heard from him again, no response to text messages nor calls. I had to fend for myself long distance until I reached out to the broker that recommended them. After that, his boss took over the sell of the property and once the hellish nightmare was over and the house finally sold, not even a 'thank you' or a Congratulations...NOTHING! It's taken me a while to actually sit and write this review because I wanted just to forget the whole thing and move on in my new home, but knowing how stressful selling a home could be, I'd truly hate for this to happen to anyone else. There are much better, more caring realtors in the area, DO YOUR HOMEWORK and stay away from HowardHanna/RandRealty. read more

They were awful. The first agent promised me the buyer was sound. He was not. 1000s of dollars later they were rejected by the board. The second agent was even worse. Now that I changed agencies I am unable to get my key back. I requested it back over a week ago. Still nothing. They are extremely unprofessional. read more

Howard Hannah is awful. Had an agent lie to me and tell me the house I wanted was in a flood zone only in an old map and no longer considered a flood zone except for optional insurance. False. Lawyer didn't say a word when the contract was supposed to be being reviewed. Broker informed me well after into contract. Howard Hannah admits to being partially responsible but is not willing to reimburse anything. Lost $1,500/ half my earnest money to end up with no house. Would give them a negative it was an option. read more

Someone from this Realty Group showed me a condo back in September 8 2021, As of March 15, 2022 and having prepaid countless of fees almost 5K, Is now 6 months later when I no longer wants the apartment that the seller and their Lawyer wants to close on March 31, 2022. In August 2015, after the death of a parent, I was tasked with finding secure housing for my younger brother who had lived at home, and contacted Eileen Daly at Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty- New City, New York. I had such a ridiculously small budget to work with that I hesitate to even include the budget amount in this review, and further, we had only a 3 month timeline to achieve the objective of finding him housing. I would be unable to accurately describe in this review how incredibly responsive and proactive Eileen was throughout the entire process. On virtually no advance notice, she arranged for her coworker Suzanne to meet us after my work hours to show the property that evening. Once we submitted a written offer, Eileen guided us through the entire process seamlessly and always with our best interest at heart. She continuously contacted us to update us throughout the entire purchasing process, and was extremely cooperative in every way. The service she provided would be considered "above and beyond" in all cases, with the added caveat that we were provided with the type of service one would expect for the purchase of a multi-million dollar property. That she provided us with the same level of service at our price point speaks loudly to her professionalism and dedication to providing exemplary service to all of her clients. It is not an overstatement to express in this review that I will be eternally grateful that we were able to find a real estate broker such as Eileen to help my brother out so skillfully during our time of grief and extreme uncertainty, and can highly recommend her services to the reader. read more

Ms. Margo Bohlin is the absolute best real estate agent in the area. She was the agent who sold our house and acted as the selling agent in the purchase of our new home. Both transactions were extremely difficult (the purchase was a short sale) and she was helpful and supportive through the long processes. Ms. Bohlin has been in the business for a long time and is as experienced and professional as can be imagined. We would highly recommend her if you are selling or buying a home. 2015 Short Sale (mis)handled by Joanne Finochio of Rand Realty. I made an offer, and after 4 months it was declined. She then emailed my attorney (and stupidly replied to all parties) " I guess you did not receive my email that the 280K does not fill the investors net. The counter was firm. (Seller's attorney) return the buyers deposit he was a bottom feeder who misrepresented himself and did not do as he said he would when we moved forward with his offer he wasted everyone's time." So she called me, a customer, a "bottom feeder" even though I made a more than fair offer for the property (which by the way a year later still hasn't sold and is now bank owned). There were two issues: 1. Her writing that I didn't do what I said I would do. Her explanation was that banks always counter the buyer's offer and the buyer is expected to counter again. She said that my realtor or lawyer were supposed to tell me that's how it works, and that she was told by my realtor that I would indeed counter the banks figure when this whole deal started in December. Otherwise she would have told us right away that the deal wouldn't happen. I told her that was never discussed. She said that either my realtor or I was lying. 2. Her writing that I was a bottom feeder. Joanne blamed my lawyer and/or realtor for including me on the emails on which she carelessly REPLIED TO ALL. Joanne said that buyers are never copied. I asked why she called me a bottom feeder. Joanne said that it was because I had such a low offer. I asked if that is how she treats her customers. She replied that I was not HER customer, even though if the deal had gone through she would have been paid a piece of the money I put out. She also asked me "what about my lawyer's email and what she said?" I replied that I agreed with my lawyer's reply. I demanded an apology in writing to all those copied on the email string. She said "I apologize" like I would expect a 5 year old to say it - no sincerity. She didn't seem like she was going to put an apology in writing saying "well that's something else". Joanne apparently cares more about people seeing her as a busy and successful professional than owning up to and correcting her mistakes. She "was very busy all day", "didn't have time to eat", "had a desk full of short sale paperwork", "wasn't making any money because I wouldn't counter offer", etc. All about her. I did what I considered the right thing and gave her a chance to make amends in person and end this. But to no avail. I escalated to her boss, who of course defended her and was no help. read more
