I recently moved to a different neighborhood in the Heights, and was in need of a new deadbolt for the door to my house. After settling in, items would disappear from my house. My best guess was that during the move,somebody made a copy of the key to the deadbolt, and was sneaking in while I was away. Unfortunately, I had almost no money. I combination of the move,and several other issues, had almost completely tapped me financially. After asking around, the consensus seems to be that Howard Safe and Lock would be the best place to go for a good deadbolt. I walked into Howard Safe and lLock with $15 in my pocket, knowing that I would probably not come out of there with anything that will secure my door. After listening to my story, and seeing how distraught I was over not having a secure home, the people at Howard Safe and Lock helped me out with a new deadbolt, using the money that I had. I'm quite sure they took a loss on it, but they were truly concerned about my situation. These are good people, and they actually care. I find that to be a rarity these days. And, if I understand correctly, they are responsible for the locks at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, so, I would add "trustworthy" to their description. The people at Howard Safe and Lock are courteous and professional, and I highly recommend using them. Even if you have to pass up a locksmith that is closer to you, it will be worth it to know that your needs will be met by courteous, caring professionals, at a fair price. read more

I could not of had a better experience with Howard Safe and Lock. I am a huge over thinker and I panic when things go wrong. The technician who came out was so nice, first he assured me everything was going to be ok, he then very promptly and professionally rekeyed my lock on my condo. The price was a little more than what I wanted to pay but I got quick excellent quality service. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. You want great service then the little bit of extra cost is well worth it. Great guy's and really came through for me. Needed a key for my truck tool box and had been to multiple places and outrageous quotes.
