HP Lanes held the PWBA Barbara Chrisman Classic presented by Storm Bowling. The lanes were great the lady bowlers participating. I had a small Pepperoni Pizza which delicious and recommend their pizzas. I normally buy a large Diet Pepsi and bottled water. The center has hosted High School Bowling Tournaments, PBA 50 Tour events, and more at the center. I want to thank Gary Joyce, the proprietor of HP Lanes for what he has done over the years along with the renovations of the center during and after the pandemic. I look forward to another tournament at HP Lanes with my normal Sunday morning bowling at $2.50 a game. read more

first time coming to HP as I don't go to this area of columbus much out of safety concerns. I was pretty damn impressed and the prices for bowling can't be beat. Most places try to gouge people on weekend. Not HP. $13 for 2 hours on a mid Saturday afternoon is great! read more

Talk about a blast from the past. Once you walk through the doors of HPL Bowling Center it's as if you time traveled back to the 90's. To the right you'll find a standard game area with pool tables and token operated games. To the left you'll grab your bowling shoes, pay for your bowling, and order your food and drinks. My friend and I went with the open bowling option, which gives you unlimited games for up to two hours. The area was clean, the machine was easy to use, and we had a great time. Actually, everyone around us was having fun as well, talk about good vibes. We got a couple rounds of drinks for about $20 and played for about $20, so it made for a really affordable evening. While this place is outdated, it's bound to leave you with a feeling of nostalgia. Bowling is one of my favorite activities to do with friends, on a date, with my niece and nephews, etc. and I wouldn't hesitate to visit HPL again. It's good bowling. If I had to criticize anything it would be the outside being pretty barren and for a second I couldn't tell if I was in the right place. I went here for a furmeet so the option of lane reservations and using OpenLane to change your display image is a really fun addition. Growing up in a smaller city, bowling was one of my favorite past times with friends. That being said, HPL reminds me so much of the alley I grew to love. Although the exterior could use a face lift, the inside of HPL is clean and well-kept. The main reasons I am giving HPL 5 stars is because it is a price-conscious bowling alley in a city full of over-priced options. On top of this, the management is super friendly: The owner was extremely inviting and would walk around and make sure everyone was having a good time. As a college student, you can't beat their college night deals. We bowled for 2 hours and had a pitcher of beer for $15. You are not going to find that kind of deal anywhere else. I have attached a picture of the college night deals. However, they are Sundays from 7pm-10 pm and Tuesdays/Thursdays from 9pm-12am. It is $8/person for 2 hours or $9/person for 3. A pitcher of beer is just $7. One thing that I thought was cool was that they offer "bowling shoe slides". AKA: slippers that go over your tennis shoes so you don't have to wear traditional bowling shoes. We were able to bowl in the comfort of the shoes we wore there. Me and my friends were celebrating the ending of our autumn semester at Columbus State with bowling! We ended up getting three lanes and just started having a good time! The place was huge there were plenty of bowling lanes they were shoes for every size and different styles as well. They have a ton of variety of bowling balls which was great for some of us who can't handle the small balls as well as the big ones. There are arcade games and pool tables off to the left when you enter the building. We got pizza and pop from there and they cut it up into squares which I highly suggest if you have a party larger than 4. When you see the initial sign in front of the building off Innis Road that is not the front of the building. You have to walk around towards the arch. Some of my friends were sitting on the other side which was not the entrance. So keep that in mind! Have fun, and enjoy people watching as well as some of the ongoing tournaments. read more

I agree with some of the other reviews, not the best part of town and the exterior can use a facelift. But don't let this keep you away! HP Lanes is a great spot to bowl! Games are affordable and they have a rewards program. The staff is friendly. We have been coming here for years, back to "college night" every week. HP Lanes is a really solid bowling center. The 50 lanes are well-maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food at the snack bar is quite good, certainly better than most bowling alleys. They have a full bar. I have been a league member there for many years and they treat everyone with respect and courtesy. If you go there often, their rewards card is hard to beat, lots of free games and rewards. Highly recommended. read more

Be carfull guys they steal your money from your credit card and they don't refund it. I went there two times last week and evrything was okay except when they charged me the machine frozen and I tried to pay three time until the payment was accepted. Apperantly, evry time I tried to pay the machine charged me but without priniting the recipt. DO NOT GO THERE. I just left this place and security and stuff throw us out because they had an issue with one person in my group. The security threw my drink away because I was not done. He then told me he doesn't work there when I asked for his name. Both customer service people that helps in bowl told me they don't have customer service and no upper manager. But then later gave me a business card. Clearly blacks are not welcome because they didn't even want to listen to what we had to say. I will make sure no one comes there. I have been bowling here on a Monday night league for two years and have found the staff to be very friendly. This is a bowling alley with a game center, pool table, lounge and grill. They run specials that vary from time to time. The lanes are in good shape and I agree with Steve C. I have not had any problems. read more

First let me start off saying that I bowl about 3 times a month every summer, so I consider myself a well knowledged bowler. We have been to HP Lanes once before and had a good experience. This time around, we bought 2 games and proceeded to lane 41 as we were told. Right off the bat, the lane had issues. The pins would fall over when they were gettinG reset, the machine would give us points for getting gutters, etc. We went to talk to the front desk to ask to be moved, and the man said that he reset the frame and said to come back with further issues. More issues continued so my friend went back up to ask to be moved and he was saying the lane wasn't broken, but in fact it was our issues and insinuated that we were stupid and couldn't figure out how to use the lanes. It was frustrating and we had to go over a third time to demand to be moved and he finally moved us while saying the issue was "a combination of us and the lane". In the end, we were in the tenth frame and the lane shut off, saying "payment expired". I was already in a bad mood and now I couldn't even finish the game. I love bowling but I am disappointed by the rude service! read more
