Since he loves to cook and is learning more and more recipes, it only makes sense to get something a bit nicer. This place has it all! If you've ever wondered where restaurants get their cups, salt and pepper shakers, even the cute little french fry baskets they bring out to your table, look no further. Maybe I'm alone here but I am intrigued by supply shops. One side of the store is all your kitchen utensils, pans, bowls, dinner wear, cutting boards, etc. The other side is all machinery and appliances like slicers, coffee machines, ovens, blenders, etc. I could have easily spent another hour in this place just checking out all the cool stuff. Right away you will probably balk at the prices. It's to be expected. If a simple whisk is $50, it's because the person who buys it will use it day-in, day-out, all day long. It has to LAST! It's a bit of an investment for a casual cook. There are a ton of amazing knives here, bar wear, and cake decorating bags and tips. I would definitely stop here for gift ideas too. Needless to say, we didn't leave with a fancy new pan, but we did get a handy dandy meat thermometer! YAY! I'm very certain we will be back soon and with stronger intentions to spend. They have all of the spices and packaged things you could want, to make Indian, Pakistani, and even some middle eastern food. I've been to a number of the other Indian supermarkets around, and this is the only one that had a curry leaves. If you are looking to make Sri Lankan dishes, this is a must and so good! I will come back for sure.
