It turns out that I had no problem getting approval from the same insurance company and for exactly the same test Quest Diagnostics at Caparra Gallery. From this I deduce that Laboratorios Borinquen doesn't know what they're doing. I am now a Quest Diagnostics patient and customer.

That's where i started receiving advice from people saying to NOT go to Laboratorios Borinquen because they tend to be expensive. So i contacted 3 or 4 labs nearby and the prices were $50-60. Funny part was that Laboratorios Borinquen ended up being the most affordable one ($25 for Titulo de Varicela) dispite what people told me! The biggest issue you will ever have is the small parking lot of Garden Hills Plaza is a bit hectic from 11am-3pm (due to all the lunch places like Ponte Fresco, Starbucks, Taco Maker, etc). Once i survived parking mayhem, They attended me in less than 5 min. They were friendly, helpful and i was impressed at how clean everything was (even the bathroom). What usually takes 3 days in other labs, they had ready STAT for the next afternoon !! Yep- this is where i will be doing my lab work done from now on.

It really was not worth going to the hospital for but would require antibiotics so I was looking for some sort of Telehealth option and came across this place. It's a bit pricey but obviously it's not through insurance and offered the convenience I was looking for and it's definitely cheaper and faster than an ER visit. Glad I did, I got a Telehealth appointment within 40 mins, did a quick video appt, and within a few minutes I got the prescription sent over to a pharmacy that's still open. It was easy and quick!
