Waited two and half hours, is first come first serve. I came for supposedly for a spine alignment and Mr. Bo Huang only spend less then 15mins on both my gf and I as we both went in together. When I walked out of the room, I did feel my left sided back seem relieved but my shoulder blades side was still feeling tiredness. For sure he didn't correct my shoulder and I was hoping at less maybe he did fix my spine but as of 10pm now I start feeling pain and needle again on my spine so to me it didn't fix any of my issue. $60 bucks cash only for a 5 mins visit and 2-3hrs wait. I was experiencing pain in the anterior deltoid /biceps area with certain movements and it's worse at night. Dr Bo Huang was able to immediately diagnose it when he asked me to raise up both my arms . Turn out my tendons ( long head) was displaced from it's sulcrus. He was able to manipulate it back in place. Within a few seconds, I was able to raise up my arms without discomfort. Then he applied some yellowish brown liniment and bandaged it. Last year, I also went to him due to calcaneal spur causing discomfort when I walk. It got a lot better after the liniment patch. I was able to do long hikes. I have know Dr Bo Huang for two years now and he has yet to disappoint me. His only day off his Thursday and he is in his office 6 days a week. If he is going out of town or on vacation he will post the notice on his front door and I recommend calling his office in advance. I have bad knees and his medicine has been very effective. I also developed nerve problems in my lower back due to weight lifting in the gym and had work related injury but his methods and medicines worked very well for both of these situations. Just went yesterday 2/36/2023. I have seen him before, acute joint issue he can fix very well, but might not be chronic issue from my experience. I went to the Chinatown location which opens Monday to Sat 9:30am to 4pm, close on Sunday. They told me the Brooklyn location is closed no longer serving. The 212 phone number still works but takes several try to get the lady on the phone which they only speak Chinese. Minimum charge is $60 (as of right now) and up depending conditions needs to be treated. Reasonable price even though it has gone up in price. I m not sure if this time his adjustment and herbal will help with my both ankle pain with tendonitis and tendon dislocation started about 2 months ago. Fingers crossed. He said that I had sprain, which I wasn't even aware as I was exercising but didn't experience any sharp twisting. If you have symptoms of joint pain like a sprain go see him sooner rather than later. Do expect a long wait as there was still a lot of people waiting. They don't have numbers to track who goes 1st, you just ask who was the last one on the line and ask/account how many people in front of you. People are pretty orderly. This is really a 3.5 review. He's one of the better Dit Da's in Chinatown. He knows how to pop dislocated joints/tendons into place just by feel, no need to X-Ray or anything. I may have over-estimated my healing ability in the previous review. There was one time I did visit him for pain/tightness in my calves. He massaged them for five minutes, put his "medicine on it" and then charged me $40. This did upset me a lot, especially with his typical hour long waiting room wait. Saturday morning: clumsily fell and twisted both of my ankles in one swoop. I elevated and iced my ankles but the pain worsen and they were swollen and bruised after two hours. I made an appointment to for x-rays but doctors won't see me until next week so my mom freaked out and sent me to Huang Bo. Boyyy was it packed! First thing I learned was that there is no check in service with the receptionist. There are also no appointments - you just walk in and ask the room who the last person is, and then you memorize their face and remember that your turn is after theirs. I sat down to wait at 1:33pm and was seen at 3:00pm, with approximately 7 or 8 people ahead of me. I thought that was a long wait but according to my mom, it wasn't bad at all and she once waited over 3 hours for her turn. It's a popular spot and a lot of people come in seeking "dit da." Several older ladies who were also waiting to see him were telling the room how he fixed their back pains in just 2 visits. The doctor himself was funny and sociable and even joked that I must've been practicing for the olympics or something because he's never seen both ankles broken before. He fixed my dislocated tendons just by feeling it and popping it back into place. After, he puts on a Chinese herbal medicinal patch (it is brown in color and seems to be some sort of a paste). He wrapped my ankles with an ace bandage to keep the medication in place. He told me I'll be good by tomorrow. It may not SEEM like he did much because all he did was feel around the tendons and bones and you don't even know when he popped it back in place but trust. This guy is a master. I was able to walk again (sans limp) by the next morning, as promised. Cost: The usual price is $45 for one medicinal patch and $50 for two medicinal patches. A wizard. After hurting my lower back last summer, I saw 3 orthos, 3 physical therapists, 2 acupuncturists and a pain doctor, none of whom could tell me what was wrong. Sometimes my pain was so bad I couldn't walk. I didn't want to see "this guy in Chinatown" but got desperate, drove into the city, and waited in line for my turn. Dr. Huang poked around my spine and found a tendon in the wrong place. After he shifted it, my pain started to decrease immediately. I also watched him take care of my mom's two herniated discs (which have bothered her since 2009) in about five minutes. He gave us herbal patches, and that was it. We both have instructions to take it easy. He only asked for $50 per person; we tipped him generously and he almost didn't accept the money! About 12 years ago I herniated discs in my lower back. I could not walk, move, go to the bathroom. I went to both Coney Island Hospital and Maimonides. Me personally I don't like therapy because you wait hours before your turn then doctors only see you for 10 minutes. After that he asked me to raise both arms again and I was surprised I was able to raise my left arm higher than when he first instructed me to do so. I was recommended by my friend to go see Dr.Huang for one of my arms and leg pain. Each visit, after a month or so I see improvements but not totally healed. So I go back and visit him every 2 months or so when the pain comes back. For that particular day, after waiting for more than 2 hours plus, me and my sister went in to see him. From the start, I got a weird gut feeling the way he took a glance at me. I didn't think too much of it. Since we are a regular patiences, we always joke and talk about our lives and what we up to. He looked at my arm first and fix it and put the herb patch on me. For my leg pain it always caused by my bone shifted on my lower back. He always have my sister sits in front of me and have her knees pin my knees together so I can't moved, he sits behind me and he will have his two arms wrap under my armpits and pull me all the back from one side and swoop me back to the other to pop the bone straight again. This time when he released his arms around me he literally glided his hands touching half of my boobs on both sides. That instance I felt really shock and violated because it didn't happened all those time before. I was really shocked and confused. My sister has the same back problem so we switched place and I helped her hold her knees together. I didn't talked when they talked but I stared really hard to see if he tried to do the same thing to my sister. I saw that he did touch her a little on the upper side breasts. My guilt kick in and I didn't want something similar to happen to her if she somehow also have a back pain like me. So i ask the sister that I went with to see him again if she felt he touched you inappropriately and she said kind of and I told her my story. She feel he did touch her side boobs a little and feel weird but she said the most uncomfortable was that he lean against her from the back so close this time she said that moment she felt really gross (what she meant by gross is that she felt his private part against her when he leaned very close from behind). We both said we did not have these feelings from our previous visits but everything is off this time. We concluded that we both feel violated and uncomfortable. You can say we are both paranoid but sometimes as women those gut feelings mean something. We both trusted him and we don't why this happened to us. We are not sure if this is a misunderstanding or not. Women tend to not say anything if these situations happen to them so we want to share our experiences. We will not go back to see him anymore. I will be going to see Dr. Huang again in the next couple of days. About 10 years ago I herniated 2 discs in my lower back. I went to multiple doctors and twice to the ER (once at Maimonides and once Coney Island Hospital) and there was absolutely NOTHING they could do to help me. Fortunately a couple during my 2nd ER visit heard me discussing my problem and crying in pain and gave me Dr. Huang's card. I went to his Brooklyn location and after a long wait he had me sit on a very low stool - did his magic (which did hurt) but then said stand up. My thought was "are you crazy - I can't stand my back is in pain" but I did as told and was able to stand and walk! A few months later after carrying something heavy again - same pain and went back and he fixed me again. I'm getting ready to see him again in the next couple of days (been in pain for a week).
