I had a nice time taking a break from walking around the city and being a tourist all day. We had a couple of drinks, and the seats were very comfortable. Very good location in Westminster and close to so many of the highlights of the centre of London. Many within walking distance at that. The rooms are small but well appointed and well kept. They are comfortable and the controls present in the walls give good control over the temperature and various lighting settings. The TVs are smart TVs and offer the ability to screen mirror from your mobile device. I found that while this worked in general it would seem to support my streaming services. A really affordable and nice place to stay at in London. The Hub is a great hotel and I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting for a brief time or want to visit London for a minimalistic type areangement. The check in are for The Hub is very sinple and can be extremely quick. All you need to do is give your name and a card and room should be presented to you on the spot. The rooms open as they are vacated and cleaned, so as soon as one is open you automatically get placed there. The trip to the room is very convenient as there is a card lock door to get to the elevator and room areas. You will follow the signs in order to get to you room. Keep in mind the bottom floor is floor 0. I had the pleasure of being on the first floor which is the second level of the building. The same key card lets you in to the room hallway which is somewhat confusing due to the zig zagging pattern of the hallways. Once you come upon your room, the key card lets you in. Oo the room itself is small, but still spacious enough to move around and do things. There is a bed and tv as well as storage under and around the bed to stire bags. I stayed in a larger room which appeared slihtly larger than a normal room. There is no refrigerator in the room, but they do provide 2 bottles of water. There is hand soap provided as well as body gel for the shower. The entire room is very environmentally friendly so it will turn lights on when it senses you come i and turn them off when it senses you leave. I found that if someone was in the shower and another person left, the lights would go off. This can be solved by stepping a foot out of the shower unit. The shower here is really nice. You will have a handheld normal shower head as well as a rain fall shower head which can b turned on. This is very nice and relaxing. Towels are provided and will be given each day when the staff comes and cleans the room. The area around the hotel is nice. It is very close to westminster abbey, Buckingham palace m, and the station to the tube. Many things are within a few minute walk. At night it does get very quiet with few people and very few cars on the road which I found sort of strange. Although it gets quiet, the area is very nice and the hotel is very secure. There are many card locks to get in so you will have to scan each time you enter the rooms area. This is a great place to stay at. Very comfortable and stellar prices! read more

INTRO A quick stay? A week visit? Hub by Premier has you covered! Literally! The covers are cozy and warm! More to that later! On with the review of this practical and magical little spot called Hub! QUALITY Whilst looking for a multiple night stay in the area of Westminster near downtown London, my wife and I came across many spots and all seemed too good to be true. Naturally I took to Yelp for advise and found Hub by Premier and after a little further research, I knew our stay would be pleasant, I just was not in for how well we would be treated t the end of the day. From the welcome and clean look, to the compact and well lid out private rooms, down to the breakfast area and lounge, Hub has a quality that is a level of top tier. The food at said breakfast was on point and getting a good night sleep, which is essential of course,was a sure thing. The bathrooms in each room were more than adequate in size and functional nature,as well was the entire spot in general. SERVICE From our welcome in and out during the on peak and off peak lobby hours, the front end lobby staff were extremely helpful for multiple reasons. I had even thought I lost a warm wool hat and sure enough, the friendly staff had kept it for me, without knowing and upon my return a couple days later, there it was, awaiting my arrival. Little touches like this make a huge diffenrce and so he staff should be noted. As should the breakfast and overall lounge staff. Wow. The mixed drinks in the afternoon were on point and quick from the server standpoint. I was not ready for this and it was just another notch to bring up the overall stay. AMBIANCE /CROWD The ambiance is warm, new, fresh and vibrant. The green color along with the wood panels has an updated look and feel as does all the common ways around the halls and rooms. The lounge area was always kept during our stay and without knowing the age of this spot, the staff is sparing little effort to consistently take care of everything. The crowd also is young and warm. Each couple or family we ran into was polite and about their own ways. There was not any yelling or misbehaving at all from anyone. This is a huge factor at two or three in the morning when you are in need of deep sleep. VALUE The value is one of the best assets for Hub. There are options all around London proper and the surrounding area, however Hub provided the best price for our stay as well as a add on hot breakfast option that was also modest in price. How convenient to stay in it own spot and. It rush out in the cold for a bite early in the morning. The value I wrote about also includes the basic amenities once would hope for and the hotel did not have any issue with holding our luggage for almost a day when we had to check out early and come back late, after an all day tour. I could not forget the 24/7 complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Oh yes, the best of all three worlds. PARKING As in many of my travels abroad, I did not have a car and so parking was not an issue, however I must point out that Hub by Premier is a short walk to the 'St. James's Place' Underground 'Tube' station, and also a stop for 'Golden Tours.' This can also be a huge plus if you decide to take part in an all day 'Hop on / hop off' tour. EXTRA I shot a few photos of the room we enjoyed as well as the common areas of interest and even some of the food fare we enjoyed. This though does not begin to hit the tip of the iceberg of wonder that is Hub. I was most pleasantly surprised at everything the Hub had to offer and when, not if, I return to London, I surely will be staying at Hub by Prmeier once again. My review was written December 30th, 2018 for the 'Tothill St' location, however I can only hope the other locations may be as well together for your potential visit. What a find this place is!!!!! For a quick trip to London, this was the best place we could have picked. Perfectly located, within steps of the Abby and the tube. The lobby is clean, with friendly staff. We got in a bit early and they held our bags while we ventured out. Check in was smooth and we were able to access our room at 2pm. We had opted for the bigger room. In Europe, the rooms are always small but, this room worked out perfect. It is very high tech, with all your light controls at your headboard. The room was clean, fresh and very modern. It is very space efficient. If you are looking for a grad, luxurious room, then book the Ritz and pay the cost. At 98 pounds per night, this room suited our needs. The only thing I didn't care for was the bathroom. The size was good. The shower worked perfect with 2 heads for the shower, a stationary one and a handheld one. The shower door only opens half the length of the shower so, if someone is extremely large, you may have an issue with getting in and out. The part I did not like, was the door to the bathroom itself. It is a glass door. Half is shaded glass but, the upper part is clear. Your travel partner can't really see in unless they are tall, but, the privacy issue is a little unsettling. The door is not sound proof and it just feels awkward to even pee in there. This bathroom will definitely bring your relationship to a whole new level. The saving grace is the "secret" bathroom off the restaurant and if you have any bathroom shyness, this is the place to "go". We opted to have the breakfast included and for 6 pound each, it was delightful. There is a coffee machine to make your own latte, expresso, cappuccino. The breakfast included eggs, bacon, sausage, a variety of toasts, muffins, croissants, fruit , yogurt and juice. It was a great way to start the day and wake up before heading to the cold. The staff is young, vibrant and very polite. In the evenings, the restaurant has a hopping night life with a bar and happy hour. The decor is fun and hip. Security is great as you need to use your room key to access the lifts and also to access the door to the hallway to the rooms. I would highly recommend this hotel for a sightseeing trip or just to hang out. It was very quiet during the day and evening in our room. The shades on the window were very darkening and we found ourselves sleeping in and it provided us with much needed rest. Cabs were abundant and the one time we had the hotel call for one, we did find it was a high price than the Black Cabs. It is better to head to the Abby and catch one or in front of the hotel. I told the front desk that I found bed bugs in my room. They did give me 50$ back. But when I went back home I kid you not my clothes had bed bugs! And I brought them home with me. The Hub won't give you a regular sized room but considering you will be within minutes of walking to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and the Parliament building, staying here means you're getting an excellent value. The Hub emphasizes the use of technology...while there will be someone to help you if you need it, you can do self check-in via the electronic kiosks in the front lobby and many of the features in your room can be controlled with the hotel's smartphone app. There is also a large electronic map in the lobby that shows you where you are relative to all of London's popular tourist attractions. The rooms come with a lot of outlets and have a nice chic modern style that makes you feel like you're in a luxury hotel despite the small size of the rooms - there are different levels of lighting, two shower heads in the shower with one being a standard shower head and another giving you a "rain" sensation, a television that greets you by name, and an incredibly soft and comfortable bed you can sink your tired body into. While we did find a few stains on the bed in the room we were initially were supposed to stay in, the staff worked very quickly and diligently to upgrade us to a larger room. In addition, there is a lounge area where you can grab free coffee in the mornings or buy food if you want to - this large yet comfortable part of the hotel was very lively with all the guests mingling and talking to each other. All in all, if you're looking to stay in London and you don't mind a smaller room but with all the creature comforts, you definitely can't go wrong with the Hub. read more

If you're looked for a wonderfully located, modern, and affordable spot to stay in London, I highly recommend the Hub at St. James's. The rooms are on the smaller side, and I believe we paid "extra" for a window. The room has curtains and we recovered perfectly from our jet lag due to the quietness of the hotel and surrounding area. Although the rooms are small, if you're visiting the area, you won't want to spend too much time in the room anyways. The bathroom water pressure was great, and as mentioned before, the entire hotel is very modern. We opted to visit local bakeries, so I cannot speak to the hotel breakfast. Also, though, special shout-out to the staff at this Hub location. They let us check in early as well as store our bags free of charge after we checked out. Highly recommended! Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and Buckingham Palace are just blocks away. Plus, the St. James's Park tube station is right around the corner and can get you anywhere fast! read more

This was a wonderful home base for a long weekend in London. The room was clean, the staff was awesome, and the hotel is somewhere I'd stay again in a heartbeat. You must know what you are getting, though. This is not a spa or resort. This is not a place with huge rooms and classic hotel feel. This is a modern and fun place to stay. The rooms are ultra efficient, thoroughly current, and quite small. When you are trying to get here, note that there is ANOTHER Hub by Premier (called Westminster St James Park) just around the corner about 1.5 blocks away. Your Uber or cab might find that one instead. We loved staying here. The only two things we didn't love was the lack of a safe in the room and how small the bed was. We're American and have an American King bed at home, so this was microscopic in size. I had to put my wife on the inside so she didn't roll off. Everything about our stay was wonderful. We paid for the breakfast and it was delicious. The bar was handy. The staff kept us rolling and were as fun/friendly as you'll get. The tech is light years above most hotels. There is a lot of hidden storage here, so make sure you take everything with you. This place had great style and was perfectly located. It is 2 minutes from St. James tube station and about 5 minutes from Westminster tube station. The latter being a much prettier walk on a good day. TIP: if you are coming in from the airport on the underground, the St. James station isn't friendly to rolling bags. Take the Westminster stop and you'll thank yourself, despite the longer walk. They have lifts and are a handicapped friendly station. read more

This is EXACTLY what a budget hotel should be. It's not perfect, but... It's perfect! Brand new rooms, totally spotless and perfectly clean. They're small, but they're smart-rooms and they are comfortable considering the size. Great shower, great design, comfortable beds with heavyweight bedding. The place is secured at multiple points with keycard security entry. Elevators are quick and there are 3 of them. They let me check in nearly 7 hours early and were helpful with a number of other things. I could not possibly ask for a cleaner, more comfortable room in any location for this price. read more

What a Great hotel. I think there are a few things they could improve to make the stay perfect, but here's what they nailed: 1. Breakfast is inexpensive, delicious, and well stocked 2. Rooms are spacious by British standards and well equipped. The room itself was well designed with adequate storage space that did not get in the way or make the room claustrophobic. 3. The smart controls for lights and air conditioning are brilliantly done. 4. The evening menu in the restaurant and bar is very reasonable and looks good. 5. Checking into a hotel without all sorts of up-sells, rewards program briefings, timeshare seminars, or even needing a human to do anything but assist you with getting a key card, is absolutely the best way to do so. Their automated system is fantastic. Here's what they could improve on 1. The standard Tea at breakfast is free but not at night. Very weird. You have to settle for a lesser brand of black tea and anything else is very expensive loose leaf tea. The standard tea is hidden. What gives? 2. Two of three elevators were down for our whole stay and apparently had been for a while. That really slowed down the whole process of getting in and out of the building. read more

We stayed here 1 out of 8 nights in London. The Standard Room was way too small for 2 people. You literally walk in and either have to walk straight into bathroom or lay down on bed. There is no standing room at all. No phone to call front desk, no iron, no coffee maker literally nothing but bed in room. Not even a desk or end tables. Also there is only one light switch that turns the light in the bedroom and bathroom on at same time. So annoying if one person wakes up first to get ready! I travel a lot and never seen a hotel room this small. The bed is also high and pushed against a wall, so have to crawl over your partner to get out of bed. No window in room either. Very claustrophobic feeling. We checked out the following morning and went to Hyatt which was so much better! The only thing this hotel has going for it is location. Service is horrible too! Would never stay here again. read more

Great location near the metro station. Walking distance to a lot of main attractions (for folks who love to walk) or a short train ride away. Also the room was a decent size - small but didn't feel cramped with two people. the bathroom was a nice size and the shower was nice. Overall room was clean. We did have one issue with the AC which wouldn't get cooler so we had to shut if off and the windows don't have a sheer shade so you either keep it closed and get no sunlight or have it open where neighboring buildings can see inside. So my only recommendation is to add a sheer shade to the windows to allow for natural light with privacy. But other than that, everything was great! For anyone traveling or having to make travel arrangements or cancellations during the COVID-19, I would strongly suggest letting your credit card company contact this hotel group. First, their phone line seems to always be having "technical issues" and they do not have an online chat forum unless you want to chat via Facebook or Twitter. Now, I am in my twenties, but I do not have Twitter and my Facebook does not use my entire legal name, so they could not address my concerns there either. I've stayed at this hotel chain before and really loved it. They have nice and very new rooms, and the breakfast is amazing, but how hard is it to get a hold of someone? So, I would simply not even waste my time booking with this company unless you can actually go into the hotel and speak to someone. They'd rather half-help you on social media and then tell you, "we can't answer further questions due to data protection." Get off Facebook and get a secure company network or phone service. I loved every single bit about staying here. The room is incredibly comfortable, super modern and very accessible. I loved pressing buttons to have all of the lights adjust, the blinds drawn up or down, etc. The staff was always wonderfully nice and helpful. I LOVE the lounge attached to the hotel with food and drink specials around happy hour time, and the breakfast spread was absolutely perfect. Perhaps most importantly, the hotel felt VERY safe and secure. The room key is needed to get into the ground floor elevator lobby, and once you reach your floor, you need the key to get into the hallways where the rooms are. And of course to get into your room. As a solo traveler this is incredibly important to me, and I so appreciate all of these special touches. They also have a large back room where they'll keep your bags if you're not checked into the hotel. This was so helpful!! My flight landed at 7:00 AM and I stopped at the hotel first, my room wasn't ready yet of course but they were happy to store my bags so I could explore for a few hours before checking in. The location is fantastic! You can see the Westminster Abbey from the front door, there are tons of other things in walking distance like Trafalgar and Picadilly Square, and there are multiple metro stations very close by. read more

Everything was very modern, huge TV and the most comfortable bed. Wifi was great (and free!) and I felt very secure knowing you needed your room key to get on to each floor.
