Wonderful locally owned shop conveniently located in quaint downtown Comfort. Have visited 3 or 4 times, each time warmly greeted by a different staff member. Whiny reviewers complain that the prices are too high. Hmmm. The prices are retail and their products are top quality. I can only assume that those reviewers were looking for a Wal-Mart and not a quality store. No, things are NOT cheap here. So, if you want cheap (aka, low quality) shop elsewhere. These items are unique and quite spectacular. They offer hand-painted wall tiles, knit items, purses, rustic flatware, plates, Uno de 50 jewelry (from Spain), high-end candles, home decor, and wine accessories. Each time we visit, we find something nice. The store was previously a bar and they offer wine tastings. The wine is from boutique wineries you'll likely find nowhere else. They are expanding out back with an outdoor seating area. On completion, I expect they'll have food and even more wine. We look forward to many more visits. read more

Really enjoyed our time here. My wife and I both received drink recommendations, my beer and her wine were both recommended based on our descriptions and she nailed it. It was quiet and peaceful on the back patio in the middle of the day. Great stop. read more

I bought a cute top from this place on a Saturday when it was packed. I didn't try on the top as it would have taken ages due to their very busy store. I came back to exchange it today for a smaller size. The lady working in the store told me all sales are final. I expressed that the top still had the original tag on as well as the original bag when I purchased it. I didn't want my money back. Just wanted to exchange it for a different size or different top of the same or more value and I would have gladly paid the difference. She would not allow it. I said "so I'm stuck with it. A shirt that doesn't fit." She said well I don't want you to look at it that way. We're a small business during COVID. I am also a shopper spending hard earned money during Covid. Quarantine the damn exchanged items for two weeks. What is the difference between me trying it on there and it not fitting v trying it on at home and it not fitting? Won't be back. During a recent visit to Comfort, I found out this place is closing its doors. I'm honestly surprised they lasted as long as they did. The owner is extremely rude and nags on customers about the littlest things. If she's not directly confronting a customer, she's talking crap about them with other customers and her employee at the bar. I will say, even though the owner is a horrible person, I've been here a few times because the people I'm usually with want to check the place out and every time the owner is in the store, we inevitably leave disappointed. This is such a wonderful place to visit. Not only do they have cute gifts, but a fine selection of cigars as well as a wine and beer bar. The outdoor patio area is wonderful. Big screen TV for the sports fans and a wonderful garden area with water features. Huckleberry's has something for everyone. Stop in and enjoy! read more

I just so happened to be in Comfort during their diva days, my husband and I (two adults) and my 2 children had 2 passports amongst the FOUR of us walk in with my children excitedly holding the cards looking for stamps when a woman physically removed the cards from my children said 'no we're not doing that' and refused to return until I pointed to my husband outside and prove there was 2 adult for an event WITH NO POSTED AGE LIMIT. As I even told her we're not turning them in we were only doing it for fun. My advise is to never physically remove an item that is not yours from someone else's child, the next mother may not be as shocked and kind as I was. read more

If I can could zero I would. I have never been in the store and the store pet be treated better then a customers. My young daughter walked into the store with me and the stupid store keeper allowed that dog to bark and scare my daughter. I tried to explained that we already had a run in with another small dog today jumping out of another shoppers bag and scared the crap out of my daughter but she could have cared less. She actually snapped out my daughter for being dramatic. I'm a dog lover and so are my kids but I know enough that if a dog does not like kids it should not be in a place that kids might be or at least put a sign outside "beware asshole shop keeper with dog that doesn't like kids" I will never go back. read more

So I really like this store, their atmosphere and their drinks! However I have been a couple times with my boys (7 and 9) just to grab a drink. My kids walked in quietly, hands in pockets, and even if Ignored the unfriendly store dog. I asked if they had lemonade and I was rudely responded to with "um no we really don't cater to kids. " The visit before we were told if we would like sit at the tables our children must remain seated at the tables. An absolutely beautiful, gem of a store in Comfort. Every time I go in I wind up buying something really cool. The owners (and their dogs), are very friendly. Great employees make you feel welcome and are very helpful. Very creative, stunningly beautiful displays make the merchandise stand out. Great beer and wine to savor while you shop. Not sure what the issues might have been with a previous reviewer, but it must have been their issue, not Huckleberry's. read more

Cute store, but a bit pricey. I purchase an item on the 40% off table as a gift for my friend babysitting my kids while we are on vacay. I asked for a gift bag after noticing a dozen already made up paper gift bags with ribbons behind the counter and was told "No, not for something that's 40% off." Hmmm.. Customer service should be the same no matter the amount spent at the register. (Huckleberry's seems to be moving down to road a bit to a more central and nicer location.) read more

Absolutely adorable!!!! Christmas gifts, beautiful decorations- attention paid to every detail. The clothing is exactly what I was looking for. Appropriate for young women as well as gals my age (40+). So fortunate to have this gem close by. Way to go girls. Btw ... working hard in the back on a covered area for parties. Can't wait for that to open. read more
