Office staff absolutely awful, especially Jasmine - haven't seen Dr Hudson in years ... he used to have a Nurse/PA named Gretchen who was awesome. I tried to reestablish as a patient and after 6 calls with no call back, gave up. I did manage to speak to a Jasmine, by accident, because she accidentally answered the phone but she never called back. I wouldn't send my enemy here as they would die before anyone called them back. I spoke with my Aunt today and she said a guy came in about his ankle issue and he had made an online appt but they "couldn't find it" and turned him away. Who turns a person away with an injury? I comply with medical treatment and has never had a problem. Labs are at least once a year to make sure the kidneys and liver works well with prescribed medication. Refills are every 6 months. If I miss my 6 month appointment, they are kind enough to send in a partial refill until I can make it to my follow up appointment. At first I did not know why, but now I understand that medication assessment for side effect and if I am tolerating it well, or if I need a med increase or decrease, is necessary to avoid other issues. Hudson Medical Wellness is located in a strip shopping plaza located on Alafaya Trail just south of Curry Ford Road. Dr. Hudson and his staff were friendly and professional. Parking in this plaza is a bit tight, but I managed to find a parking spot. No real complaints. No one likes going to the doctor, but this experience was as positive as it could be. read more

DON"T GO HERE!! If I could give a zero I would! The doctor is retiring and only sees a select few he has seen for years The office staff are rude and uncaring. The last great NP (Gretchen) has left, she was the only reason why I tolerated the office staff and practices. They have questionable insurance filing and billing practices. They NEVER answer the phone, you have to leave a message and hope they call you back that day or ever. Recent experience was that I had a death in the family so needed to move my appt to a month later. I needed a refill of a maintenance medication(statin) called in to local pharmacy to get me to the next appt. They would only call in 20 pills instead of a months worth leaving me five days short. Asked why couldn't they give the full month all they did was shrug their shoulders at me and would not respond further. I am not even sure if the doctor in the office was asked or aware of decisions the office staff was making, as surely you wouldn't let a patient run out of a heart medication! But this office would!! I don't even want to give this place one star! The only reason there's one star is for Gretchen. She is the only decent person in that whole building! Their staff is absolutely terrible, especially the front desk. Always incredibly rude. The used to be really good when it came to customer care but they haven't been the same since he was exposed for being a pill mill, and I finally believed it to be true bc I had told them not to give me a certain type of medicine bc of my family history of ppl having side affects and they still switch it to that brand without telling me and when I went to discuss the error they made, I was then informed I'd have to pay for an appointment to talk to them about the error they which ended up giving me side affects. read more

Dr. Hudson and Dr. Gretchen are the best. I am seen fast and everything is explain in great detail. I have never walked out of this office needing to "Google search" terms or meaning. I am often able to get same day or next day quick appointments for refills and minor issues. The staff is welcoming and always makes me and my family feel better. This doctor is an incompetent, unorganized. He told me that a stye on my eyelid was allergies. When I told my ophthalmologist what Dr.Hudson said, he told me that I need a new doctor. Should have listened to him. The front desk people REFUSE to send my scripts on time, and I usually get it 2 days after my visit. Basically whenever they get some leisure time and remember to send it. He made me go get blood work done insisting that my insurance would cover 100% of the cost.. then I got a $700 bill in the mail, because whatever under payed low life he employed didn't submit the claim to my insurance company with the proper code. So obviously they took 5 minutes out of their day to recode correctly so that my insurance would pay for it, right? NO CHANCE! It took me about 6 months to get the bill cut in half to $350 (by working with my insurance company). Did Dr.Hudson reimburse me? Did he even show a drop of sympathy? No. I am 100% done with with this doctor. If you consider yourself a WebMD specialist and just need to go into his office to get a script, Dr.Hudson is your guy. Just don't expect him to know what's wrong with you, or expect him to get you your script on time. That's just asking too much. read more

This office refused to give refills for life time condition medications....this is not different from many other doctor's office.... BUT...why wouldn't they provide at least two weeks refill to cover the time until I have my appointment scheduled instead of telling me to come sooner? Is this asking too much? This was the first time I asked for refills (no history of serious illness that would warrant the extra precaution by the doctor), just this one medication needed on a regular basis. This event was what prompted my first ever review for any service provider. Also, On a second visit you come happy to meet your brand new good doctor again - Surprise! the doctor is opening an office in another town 20 miles far and he will not be seeing patients in this one until the new office is up and running. In the mean time you will have to see another doctor you didn't picked. I'm sure they new this when I called to schedule a new patient visit just a week before....why they didn't tell me? Very inconsiderate. - Surprise! In your second doctor's appointment, not an emergency or a walk in, you don't see Dr. Hudson. Instead you see the Nurse practitioner. If I schedule an appointment I think is reasonable to see the actual Dr. which I barely seen him ONCE. read more

A Dr is only as good as his front desk staff and this staff is lacking. I've seen the receptionist pick up the phone and hang up without talking. I've been hung up on and when I called back the girls kept muting the phone and laughing. Dr Hudson is great but I can't deal with the horrible customer service. read more

Tried twice to get a RX for arthritis renewed. Renewal declined and no reason given. I was also not contacted (twice) about the refusal for the RX to be renewed. Called the office - pushed to voice mail twice. Got a call back (much later) which said to call again. This is the third time I've had a problem with getting an arthritis RX. I focus on nurse Daniels as an unresponsive and uncaring ARNP. It is very clear to me she is trying to exert some sort of control. So her control is to deny medication to deal with my condition. Ain't gonna happen. I will call again to cancel my appointment with the nurse and not reschedule. I'm finding a new health care provider. I love this practice and the doctors here. Gretchen is a very well informed physician who takes her time in explaining things thoroughly to you. She takes her time and never rushes and listens to you. I love coming here for the reason also that they attend me so quickly and I never have to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen. As someone who works in the healthcare field I can confidently say that Dr. Hudson practices unethically. He refused to provide me a referral to a provider that accepts my insurance because he only refers to one provider for the service that I requested. He was not open to reaching out to the provider I preferred because the one he refers to he "knows really well". He was not interested in the fact that the provider I wanted was a better fit for my needs. He also misdiagnosed my husband with the flu even though he had a sinus infection. My husband explained that he has a history of sinus infections but Hudson and medical staff continued to insist that it was the flu even though he was missing a lot of the typical flu symptoms. A few days later, my husband's symptoms had worsened despite the fact that he was taking the flu medication he was given. He called the office to discuss antibiotic options because it was clearly a sinus infection but he was told he was wrong repeatedly. He then went to urgent care where he was told he had a sinus infection and definitely not the flu. read more
